@@RenewPowerWashCo Yes I found that . But for me it says View only . However once I looked at your format and the formula you gave at the end of this Video . I was able to insert that info into excel perfectly . So I wanted to thank you for the info. It saved me a bunch of time in my startup . Thanks for being so generous in an industry I have found most are rather selfish and arrogant in. Unless you are paying them . Your video gave me an instant understanding of the process. Your calculator makes it super fast . Which can still be used when I upgrade beyond batch mixing . A tip I never see is how to get business. I go into areas of nicer homes . Find the one with the worst roof . I approach the home Owner and offer him a Free roof wash . In return I leave a sign in his yard for 2 weeks . So far 2 months in . I have done 3 free roofs and got 40 jobs out of it . All in a 5 block radius . Most I do the roof and then end up having the homeowner want the rest of the house done . I've made more money in the last 2 months . Then I made in a whole year at my previous job. That closed up due to Covid and never re-opened .

Homeowner here for the hand pump option. We have a small area to clean and a 1 gallon hand pump. I added an excel formula to convert gallons to ounces/quarts/cups. In the hand pump part of the spreadsheet I added 3 new rows below "Batch Gallons" number. Put this formula in the first new cell to show Ounces =CONVERT(A19,"gal","oz") Quarts =CONVERT(A19,"gal","qt") Cups =CONVERT(A19,"gal","cup") The formula is automatic when you enter the hand pump gallon size. If you enter 1 batch gallon, the new cell reads 128oz/4qt/16cups. If you enter 1.5 for that size pump sprayer it reads 192oz/6qt/24cups. 2 gallon pump sprayer it reads 256oz/8qt/32cups. Now you have to add a new cell and copy his formula, =(A19/B19)*C19, but change the A19 to the new cell that has the converted number. Using his example @ 10:50 for a 1.5 gallon hand pump with 12.5% SH for 3% mix. The calculated answer is 0.36 SH and 1.14 Water which is not easy to understand. I needed to convert it to measurments I can use to add to my 1 gallon pump sprayer. Conversion: Ounces. 46.08 ounces of SH and 145.92 ounces of Water. Cups. 5.76 cups of SH and 18.24 cups of Water. Quarts. 1.44 quarts of SH and 4.56 quarts of Water. For my purposes. I have 1 gallon pump sprayer and I'm gonna use 10% SH and shooting for a 2% mix to test the area and work up from there. Ounces. 25.6 SH and 102.4 Water Cups. 3.2 SH and 12.8 Water Quarts. 0.8 SH and 3.2 Water Hope this helps for those of us using hand pump sprayers. I'd convert to pints, but pints are for drinking Guinness.

The draw rate should actually be 62.5% with an open tip 4 gpm (1.6 - 1). Correct? Or do you add the 1 plus 1.6 and then divide? I never understood how people come up with a 10% draw rate in downstream injectors that are 10-1. 10% would actually be 9-1.

maybe i'm just a math dummy but it has me going in circles. I have a 2.3 gpm machine and the 2-3 gallon a minute xjet. I have been batch mixing in a xjet pail and im using a 9:1 proportio er (red). Should i not be using a proportioner with it? I'm doing vinyl siding and trying to get a 1,5%-2.0% strength using the pool essentials that has 10% SH in it. Any brilliant math minds that want to help this math illiterate fireman would be much appreciated!! Thank you in advance for the help! Truly!

From a fellow firefighter brother: 2.3GPM is roughly a 0.77:1 ratio for the X-Jet without a proportioner (I'm eyeballing it when I charted out those X-Jet GPM/ratio values in the description). So if you're recreating the formulas from the video and don't want to use that red proportioner to run it straight from the pail, I think you just have to change cell A8 to be =(A5/B5)*C5*1.77 and then you can change the "SH % Needed" in cell C5 to be whatever you need.

So downstreaming 10% on a house, 5:0 ratio in a 5 gal pale? If 2.5:2.5 is that weak, I could just guess it would take the whole 5 gallons of SH to properly clean? I’ve been using 2 gallons of SH to 3 gals of water on every vinyl house I wash.
@RenewPowerWashCo
@RenewPowerWashCo Год назад
If you are downstreaming out of a 5 gallon bucket with straight, undiluted 10% SH, the SH will be around 1% when it goes on the house. If you add 50% water to the SH in the buck you’ve already diluted it to 5% SH so it’ll be around 1/2% SH on the house. That’s a little low to be real effective but I imagine if it sits long enough it’ll work. I prefer straight SH in the bucket and letting the injector dilute it properly

It depends oh how “hot” of a mix you want. With a hand sprayer you can go as much as full strength if you do not add any water. If you want 5% SH it would be half SH, half H2O. It comes out the tip however you mix it in the pump sprayer. Simple.

What's ratio if I'm using 10 percent sh 5 gallon bucket for house wash ?
@RenewPowerWashCo
@RenewPowerWashCo 2 года назад
I’m assuming you are downstreaming your house wash mix. If so, I would put 100% SH in bucket and no water. This will give you around 1% out the gun if downstreaming. The % varies a little with machine size but rule of thumb for downstreaming is 10:1. When I downstream, which is almost always, I use straight SH and let the injector reduce it down for my house washing. If it’s not as strong as you want you can try lowering the RPMs of the PW machine and that tends to pull a bit more chems through the injector. Not sure why that is but it does.
@vim_usr2753
@vim_usr2753 2 года назад

@@michaelc7283 basically bro. The 2.7 gpm will split it in half. So if you have the 5 gallon bucket filled up with 10% with no water in the bucket and only sh . You will get 5% coming out of the tip. The more gpm the more the sh is diluted with water because theres more water flowing through. reposting my reply from above: From a fellow firefighter brother: 2.3GPM is roughly a 0.77:1 ratio for the X-Jet without a proportioner (I'm eyeballing it when I charted out those X-Jet GPM/ratio values in the description). So if you're recreating the formulas from the video and don't want to use that red proportioner to run it straight from the pail, I think you just have to change cell A8 to be =(A5/B5)*C5*1.77 and then you can change the "SH % Needed" in cell C5 to be whatever you need.

@Manuel Contreras I mean, he gave you all the formulas for each cell. It would be easy to make your own spreadsheet, from the information he gave.

What would be the formula for my XJet since i have a 4 Gpm with 1.6:1 Ratio?

%SH divided by 2.6 to get mix %.

@samadafzalee1671 2 года назад
@@stevanhoffman4240 can you explain more? How would that solution explain how much SH and water goes into the tank?
@stevanhoffman4240
@stevanhoffman4240 2 года назад
@@samadafzalee1671 what kind of mix do you want and how big is the tank? You have to build a hot batch mix to get a lower diluted % to come out of the gun. For example if you are starting with 10% SH and want a 3% mix in a 5 gallon bucket you have to build an 8% mix so it dilutes down to 3%. To get to 8% from 10% you would mix 4 gallons of bleach to one gallon of water. Now you have 8%. It then goes through the x jet that has a 1.6:1 ratio. 8 divided by 2.6= 3.07.

@samadafzalee1671 2 года назад
@@stevanhoffman4240 that explains a lot. Thank you so much! What if I wanted a 4% or 2% mix come out the gun? How would that work, how do I do the math and calculate it

@RenewPowerWashCo
@RenewPowerWashCo 2 года назад
Please read in the description. 1.6:1 is for a 4gpm. This chart is based on the standard 2.7gpm. It changes slightly the higher the gpm machine. Thanks for watching
