The most important part of this video was your story. Thank you for sharing. Although I served time overseas during a conflict, I would never compare my experience to someone who literally lived in it. Fall of 1976 -- 4th Grade -- in the San Francisco Bay Area a new student came into my class. Lena Manoukian. She and her family had to leave their home in Beirut because of the war. We became friends because I was assigned to help her out (mostly because she wasn't fluent in English -- she blew me away in long division with a different method than we were learning). I'll never forget the day her parents came to our class and told us about the civil war in Lebanon and showed us their family slides...including their high rise apartment building before and after it'd been blown to smithereens. First time war seemed real to me.

I never thought watching a craftsman cobbler would be so entertaining. I admire craftsmanship in any field. Hearing a tidbit about your childhood in Lebanon helps me understand and admire your inner character. Your character is as much a part of your appeal as your creative craftsmanship. You mentioned someone commented on your dirty fingernails. Growing up on a farm in rural East Tennessee in the 1950's my dad taught me, “There is nothing wrong with honest dirt.” May God bless you and yours.

Once again you have wowed me with your work. I am so impressed to see such craftsmanship. Almost 50 years ago when I was a police officer in a smaller city in Utah, I would take my police boots to a small shoe repair. The owner was Steve Gogo. I dont know what nationality he was but he had the same work ethic and similar skills you do. It was even expensive back then but he did such good work and I really loved my foot wear. His shop is long gone but his work ethic will rermain with me. I am retired now but if I were still active I would use your sertvices any day. When I wore the style of foot wear as an officer, it was important to me to have good boots. You could certanily repair my boots any time. Good luck with your endeavor and may you always be successful n your work. Thank you for your most excelent work.

I still have a pair of those from back in the day. I ordered them from the Sportsman's Guide, and paid around 90 bucks for the. They were the most uncomfortable boots I ever had the pleasure of owning. The fellow that own those must have had iron feet. Excellent job on the recraft!

So fascinating to watch you work, and amazing stories of your youth. I emigrated to the US from Africa, was conscripted at 18 to serve in army 1976- 1987. It's true that folks don't know how good life is over here. I appreciate your videos a lot.
