I smelled this when I was in store for their semi annual sale very recently. This one is nice! The price was right, so I picked up the lotion for my stepdad. He says he wears it often. I appreciate the thorough review!
Noir hands down has always been my favorite in their collection. It was actually my very first fragrance purchased over a decade ago! Noir is smoky, sweet, bold, (kinda smells like fruity pebbles or earl grey tea), 😂 but beautifully done. I have no idea why it was discontinued for nearly 5 years….. regardless it’s back! Now I might get some hate for this comment, but having experienced some gorgeous fragrances as recommended by the RU-vid frag community, (Jubilation XXV….. three purchases of it so far, 😍 🙏 thank You Stephen!), the BBW colognes just don’t do it for me anymore. In my opinion, they don’t have the depth to them that I’ve leaned to recognize over the years. Sure, they’re pleasant, but there’s not much of a noticeable difference between their scents tbh, and certainly nothing groundbreaking. I’m not trashing BBW, they were my gateway into the world of fragrance, and Noir will always have a special place in my lineup. Their colognes are great starter frags for anybody interested in the world of scents, and at their current price point, definitely worth taking a look at! .
B&BW makes great smelling colognes but the longevity is garbage (on my skin at least). Atlantic was a fantastic summer smell but I was lucky to get an hour out of it. Awesome to see a review on one of their scents though!
Interesting, of all the times I’ve been to bath and body works I’ve never really tried out their fragrances. If I’m ever in there it’s usually to purchase lotion. I, however, did sample Oasis based upon your recommendations and I immediately picked up eau de soleil Blanc vibes. I might have to give this one a sniff, after all, you’ve never steered me in the wrong direction. 😀
Their scent "Clean Slate" was on sale for just under $10. You still might be able to get one online under the "Winter Sale", perhaps in store if they're sold out already.
I own their Teakwood cologne. It smells similar to Fierce by Abercrombie or Mont Blanc Legend. Smells good and last fairly decent on my skin. But I would rather by Legend over it though because you can find it for cheaper and it last longer as well.
Bath & Body Works is a brand I feel is underrated for men's fragrances. I have a few and "Bourbon" is a favorite, a nice clean powdery fragrance. And of course the best way to buy is to figure out a bunch that you like and get them on one of their "buy three get five" or "buy three get six" promotions. Great video, I'll have to swing by B&BW to sample this!
I was crossing my fingers hoping you wouldn’t mention Mahogany woods because it’s discontinued and I’m still mourning. Maybe one day they will rerelease it.
Listen, this is a hidden gem fragrance not only for bath and body works but in general, smells fantastic easy dumb reach and let me put u on a secret i do, get a bottle of unscented beard oil, add canyon to it to your liked strength and holy crap, best smelling beard oil you ever smelt. This fragrance doesn’t project very long but I do get 6-8 hrs based upon my sprays 8-10 over my shirt. My favorite of Bath and Body line used to be burbon but this beats all in my opinion. My woman loves this fragrance so much she got me two for Christmas after I ran out of the 15ml bottle.
I really enjoy going to Bath and Body Works to purchase not just the colognes and the body sprays but also there are other items. I'm probably going to get online and order some stuff...
At the beginning of this review, You left out the bottle that put you on the RU-vid map - Mahogany Woods! It sold at closeout for $14 in 2017 and on your recommendation, I bought a few bottles. It's now selling for $250 to $300 on the Bay!
LOL@spare$40! Sounds like this should be $20-$25. Yeah, it sounds functional for someone just starting a collection but unnecessary for someone who has amassed a nice sized collection. But I like the idea of BB&W fragrances (I have a few others I want to purchase because of scrolling through the comments - such as graphite, noir, and marble [but only the 10-15mls, as I don't plan on wearing them often]), and blind-bought Bourbon because of a RU-vid review (and haven't regretted it). But after this review, I'll have to pass, as I have such a long bucketlist of higher-quality fragrances that the description of Canyon makes it unworthy to fit on the page. Thanks for the review, Professor.
Hi, I need you to decide something for me. Which one is the best? Or the best 2? Dolce Gabanna Peony, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Chanel Eau tendre edt?
I never even knew bath & bodyworks made fragrances LOL. Mr. Steven! I need your help (if possible). Would you happen to know how i could possibly get Eau Noire from Dior here in the U.S., without paying outrageous prices? -Javier
I collect Bath and Body Works stuff, but I consider my BBW collection to be different from my fragrance collection. I don't really collect their fragrances, in the cologne/perfume sense of the word, because I feel like they don't really compete in that sphere. What they do is kinda their own thing, *they make BBW scents* Plus, I feel kind of second hand embarrassment and sketchiness from getting a BBW cologne and seeing no reference to concentration at all.. That being said, I got Canyon in the whole collection, including the cologne which I got for under 10 bucks, and it's certainly worth that.
Do you happen to know if the newer Canyon cologne he has here is the same, or comparable to the old Canyon cologne they used to sell in the blue glass bottles? My brother had it when I was a kid, along with another scent called Forest Moss (which seems to be discontinued) and I'd love to get some, but the people selling the vintage bottles of it want unrealistic prices for them.
