Please enjoy this bathroom remodel project where we take a bathroom that used to have a bathtub and transformed it into a fully wheel chair accessible space. This project is a time lapse of us completing a zero entry shower with floor to ceiling tile. Beautiful tile work and warm design make for great functional space for my client and their family. We used 12x24 tile on the walls and the floor, a pebble mosaic for the shower floor, and a glass mosaic accent stripe. Enjoy our bathtub to curbless walk in shower remodel! awesome job! A tip or two, of course each guy has thier own way of installing. keeping a wet sponge handy is a good way of making the clean up and grouting easier and faster by keeping grout joints and the tile face ,corners ,ect. clean as you go. You'll thank yourself in the end. Also wedi board 1/8" think is a good and easy way to make feature tile level up to 3/8" large tile with the 1/2" trowel. Again nice job, well done.

Beautiful job. I love it! We had a house fire March 17, 2020. Here it February 9,2021. Still waiting on our house to be rebuilt. I enjoyed the narration throughout the video. It informs you of little details that I would’ve missed had you not.

I rarely comment negatively but there are many things done on this install that I simply would not do. Look at the lippage and the grout lines slowly. I don't know these guys personally but if you want to learn tile, Isaac Ostrom and Sal Diblasi are the guys to follow. I've installed tile for 25 years. They know what they're doing.

Nice job!! This is the first video of yours I watch and it is ironic. Back October 2019 I hired a company to come in and make my ONLY bathroom into a handicap accessible shower for myself. I am handicapped, but after just 3 days of numerous & costly errors I had to fire them. One of there workers also was caught leaving the house with my property. (Sad) So I have been without a bathroom for almost 8 months now and don't think that I will be able to finish the work myself due to my deteriorating health. The other ironic thing is that I have the same tiles picked out for my bathroom. What's the odds. Well thank you for sharing your journey it is nice to imagine what my bathroom could look like. For now I will wing it. A red bucket!

Nice video, if i had any criticism it would be that you need to work on your grouting and the tooling of the joints. I used to be the grouter for my dads tile company and have grouted at least 20-30 entire houses on my own over the years, so i can spot a grouting job a mile away. I can tell it was difficult to clean up near the glass border because of the recess, but regardless you just have to spend the extra time to clean it up and smooth it out to make it look good. Keep your eyes sharp. I know none of us know everything and everyone can always improve in different ways, so take what im saying in good heart. Also, in the future, if you want to avoid that recess between a border tile and main wall tile because of the difference in thickness you can install 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 backerboard where the border will go and thinset it to the wall to bring out the border flush. This will also fix the issue with the electrical outlet sitting away from the wall where the border was. Keep up the good work pal and keep learning and improving.

Excellent work, guys. I did the same thing, only it had a curb. However, the only thing that distinguished the shower from the rest of the room was a glass wall and door for the shower enclosure. Didn’t like the the shower floor being different from the the room tile so I took the time to cut many, many 1” by 1” square pieces (mini-tiles) from the 16 by 16 wall and floor tile laid them out for the shower floor. And of course, the color and style my girlfriend chose was only available in porcelain! Naturally, we broke up. Anyway, looks great, you’re a credit to your craft.

I love watching your work. There was one tile that was doing my head in, I kept looking at it and trying not to. Its the small mosaic tile on the small side wall of the shower lol. I know, everyone else will think that's ok but maybe my OCD was kicking in big time :) Honestly this looked awesome though.

Great job! I can clearly see this was a very challenging job. The homeowner did a lot of work to make your job easier, but I think it would have been just a little more pleasing to the eye if you had influenced more of the design.

The niche and 3 piece window on the semi wall could've been centred to avoid cutting off the trim tile on the left and that awkward piece of accent tile on the right. That could've been done by taking the width of the trim tile in consideration while constructing the semi wall in the 1st place. Also It's hard to tell if there is a corner guard on the semi wall? It would protect the tile from accidental hit by the wheelchair. And I would put the power switch and the plug on the same level. Just looks more finished. With that being said I love your cuts and attention to details. I know the amount of work such a small space gave you and you owned it

I love the clip in shims and really makes it easy to keep it all even. Note to others make sure you use enough thin set behind tile so you don't have hollow tile.

I think you did a good job, if I had to add anything I would say that you should have taped the seams with waterproofing membrane in addition to the Red Guard. Red Guard alone over cement board definitely isn't enough to waterproof changes of plane, and will likely fail over long periods of time (10+ years). I do want to commend you for choosing a cement backerboard over HardiBacker for a shower install, since HardiBacker wicks moisture through capillary action. I myself would have gone for a foam board like HydroBan Board, in addition to the a waterproofing membrane tape and liquid waterproofing overcoat, but it looks like you at least used a real membrane on the floor of the shower. Really interesting to see how you cut away the joists and sistered them to allow for the curbless entry. Great job with that!

Great work. Only fault is the mosaic band sets in. It's not flush with the rest of the tile. Ik it's hard considering this band is 1/4 the thickness of the tile. Why I cleat the band then float the area to except the band last. So you can get a perfect flush band.

I noticed quite a bit of tile lippage and chipped tiles, but overall good job. I can see a 1/4” shadow on one tile from the lippage.

Here is a question I have, how do you access to the plumbing for the faucet and shower if you ever need to work on it. I ask this because my bathroom is tiled and I do not see anyway to access my plumbing without removing tiles.

Great video and narration. I also have a window in my shower. I want to keep the window and not replace it with glass blocks like your client wanted in this video. If you've installed windows in showers before, do you have any recommendations on which types of windows are the least likely to get damaged/moldy/rot? Thank you.

I dont know who decided to do all that tile, but it looks so busy. If owners wanted it , then that is fine. But I see tile corners sticking out on trim, and is that sink really functional with the wall lip around that opening, and that space sould have been used more functional. You know...everyone has an opinion..:-) great you got this done for them fast and functional.

I have been fixing contractors mistakes for over forty years.If you guys have been doing all of your shower pans like this,you better backtrack , and do them over again.My guess is, you guys are 5-7 years in the business, and these problems haven't surfaced yet...Good luck. BTW looks nice!
