I am so emotional while listening to this song now. Just feel like crying. How time flies. I just remember my Grand Ma in those days. RIP my Grand Ma and RIP to mama Batile Alake. Batile Alake died on 13th of August, 2013 in her home town in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. She left with her good voice. When you think about people that have gone and this world in general, you just get emotional. Everything will end one day and all of us will go back.
My mother shared the same name with Batile Alake. (both of them Alake). So I grew up with a good dose of Batile Alake’s songs. I knew the lyrics from beginning to the end in my primary school days. Live on Mama Batile🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mama Batile Alake's music is such that reminds me of deep Yoruba heritage and brings me to a deep sober reflection of our cultural background. Beautiful raw talents God bless the work of their hands.
now, how many professors of music or theater arts could come up with such songs without looking at a piece of paper placed before them ???? RIP mama❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What make me to love her music is her sweet voice and how my dear wife love her. Because both of them are from same Home town IJEBU IGBO. With Late Haruna Ishola
That would be great - If you can translate the lyrics for any of Batile's songs... then email me: agarzonster@gmail.com I will post the lyrics with the video.. Thanks so much.. God Bless
