In The Batman, Gotham addresses don't have a state, they're just Gotham. I imagine whatever state they used to be in decided that they didn't want Gotham anymore, and I can't blame them.

Makes sense politically, too. Can totally buy a corrupt politician cutting Gotham out of their state to "reduce the crime rate" by having Gothams crime stats no longer affect state crime statisitcs.

Okay, okay, okay, one last thing. I live in Chicago and was on set for some of the filming of both "The Batman" (2022) and "The Dark Knight" (2008) what I found interesting what that some of the choosen filming locations were pretty much, more or less the exact same spots, most of them revolving around our elevated railway.

Also, the worst movie version of Gotham to live in, that would be Burtons. Why? Because it was like, a two block set with matte paintings in the background, and like, the same two set cars and the same 10 extras walking around all the time. You'd be constantly running into Bruce Wayne leaving flowers for his parents in that alleyway that is right behind your house, which is right next to Ace Chemicals.

Actually Batman protects Gotham with civilian backed military level terrorism. Thinking of Gotham as a Roman City, Bruce would be acting as Prator Batman.

Now I want to see an Elseworlds run set in a Classical world where you don’t even have to change the name of Metropolis. Praetor Batman, God-Emperor Superman, ACTUAL Amazonian Queen Diana. Yeah, I’d read the hell out of that.

Mel Brooks actually did something similar for the opening credits to Robin Hood: Men in Tights. All the villagers turn and ask why directors always burn their village down for Robin Hood movies.

This Gotham has been the most comic book accurate one I’ve seen since Tim Burton’s rendition. I mean Burton and Schumacher made an aesthetically looking Gotham based on the cartoon series but The Batman’s Gotham was more in line with the comics and Arkham series, just complete shit and I LOVE IT!!!

It's not that they change how Bruce's parents died, but what they went to before hand, that they left, which leads to their deaths. Ultimately, I do.t think that's necessarily a huge deal, what they do before their deaths in the whole story of Batman....but what's important is we know that his parents deaths brings about Bruce's decision to become Batman....

I honestly think they should start shooting Batman movies in Baltimore. It has a very old architecture look to it and the alleys would be perfect. I would do the wide city shots in Chicago and a lot of the street level stuff in Baltimore.

Batfleck's Gotham is literally a ferry ride away from Metropolis. If things get too bad, Superman (and the Justice League) will come in. It's not a great place to live -- it clearly has problems -- but it's nowhere near as bad as the other Gothams.

I think with The Batman, if they do make more movies, we will see Bruce use his money to make Gotham safer. They definitely set it up for that to be the case, he tries to only be Batman and realizes he can do more in other ways, I think we’ll see him develop the Bruce philanthropist persona slowly but surely

I loved Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. My first Batman movie I saw was Batman & Robin (I know it’s a terrible Batman to begin with but I loved it). I really enjoyed these superhero movies that were closer to the comics
