Am thinking the same, but i think this is a shot fired at Rocksteady because of the upcoming Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. This review feels like a reminder to Rocksteady to not forget what fans loved about the Arkham series when they are making Suicide Squad.

bro i was cleaning out my trunk and saw this game in the jay-z blueprint 2 cd case. never bought this game or played it. have no idea how i have it. trying it out now though.
@tonygicz8 Yeah, I also had fun with Gotham Knights. I thought the story was pretty interesting with the Court of Owls. Though, it still can't compete with how legendary Arkham City was.
an 8? Bruh this game is a 9. It's a peak Batman game and no other superhero games can compete with the arkham trilogy. Yes, not even the insomniac spiderman games.
Thank you sucicide squad im going to buy the Arkham trilogy I only played Arkham city it’s been years since I last touched it. Now I want to try the Arkham trilogy
God - I love this game - and Arkham Asylum. Also Arkham Origins - but wasn't so keen on Arkham Knight, that bloody Batmobile annoyed the hell out of me!
It’s cool to look back and see if a game holds up, but you should call it something other than a “review.” Like maybe re-review? Or just do like salt factory “is _______ as good as I remember?”
still a masterpiece to this day arkham city is hands down my favorite batman game next to asylum and origins to me was very underrated and deserves more love
If rocksteady really touched up on these games more themselves and gave us even better remasters/remakes with an update for arkham Knight and maybe even finding a way to include arkham origins from WB Montreal then I would happily pay 50-60 bucks for a complete package. Return to arkham looks and runs great on ps5 but it has some rough edges they added along the way and a decent amount of visual bugs. Imagine how great these games could look considering what they were able to do on ps3 and ps4 if they gave us a true current gen bundle. I'm a bit shocked that they gave us a The Batman skin recently but didn't add a 60 fps or higher resolution update yet. Playing Arkham City and Asylum with Knight's slick feel would be amazing.
No need to. They STILL look great today. Maybe only a remaster to unlock higher frame-rates and resolutions on console. I am XSX and PS5, which is locked at 1080p30. :-(
@@PeanutButterAndJellyBros PlayStation owners cannot play it on modern consoles as ps5 is not backwards compatible with ps3. I know it got a hd remaster for the ps4 but it I heard it was really bad. Nobody really asked for a RE4 remake but we all were blown away by its quality. I know the arkham games are relatively younger than RE4 but they still could improve them. Just having them with current generation visuals would be great.
@@inigogc They do look great but they would look even better with modern day graphics, imagine having cut scenes that actually use the in game engine where Batman is actually wearing the suit you chose in the cut scene.
It always struck me as funny when Batman is surrounded by 20 thugs, he completely decimates them, but when going one-on-one with Joker, he get's his butt handed to him. Story over substance.
Another issue, Spider Sense and the way the enemies stand around during combat just waiting for the player to be able to counter their attacks. I get it, it's fun, but gets old after awhile when the game holds the player's hand the entire way. Sorry if this hurts your feelings, but just get over it.
