Mark Hamill: I said I wouldn't return to voice the joker. That's final! Producers: but Mark, if you return for one more performance: you'll have your own musical number Mark: done
Xehanort10 I bet they were doing the contract negotiating and Mark was like 'Screw the paycheck, I want a song or nothing! Singing is not on the table!'
PHILL SHIVELY Especially since this Batman is voiced by Kevin Conroy and he is really good at singing, although he did sing while voicing Batman in an episode of Justice League Unlimited ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-55zpDpTbAiw.html
Ozmosis No it isn't. Mark Hamill voices Joker in this game. Troy Baker only voiced Joker in Origins, Origins Blackgate and the animated film Assault on Arkham. You're obviously one of those idiots who thought Mark Hamill retired after Arkham City.
comatose kitty on my first time I the game I actually failed twice due to the joker's song distracting me and the fact that I didn't know I was playing as Robin.
2:47 "Barbara's dead and I'm laughing! Ha! Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing! I'M even dead and I can't stop laughing!" I was pissing myself at that line. Perfectly sums up how the Joker is both brilliant black comedy and also some borderline Satanic force that Gotham and Batman can never be rid of.
@@budzy5415 that song was only in Batman's head. We got to see it because a. We play as Batman and b. Would you rather listen to that nobody, or Mark Hamill's Joker?
In some combat you get to beat him up like in the mission where you find Arkham Knights identity and you are fighting those guys with the information you get to punch and knock out Joker.
***** I think it went more like this. "Come on Mark..." "I don't know guys...I said the last one was it." "You get to do the Killing Joke scene where you shoot Barbara Gordon in the spine" "Oh Batsy! Here I come! The show must go on!!"
The Last Donut Over used, yes. But if Batman was constantly fighting any of the other badguys in his roster more than the Joker, it would be constant fear gas attacks, constant overly convoluted puzzle and wordgames, constant plant based schemes, constant bouts of strength and strategy, and one of his enemies has an immortality cheatcode enabled; so even if Batman shattered his bones and crippled him, his ninja servants would just drag him back to a pit of goo and bring him back to full health again. Joker at least brings a special kind of flavor to the mix most of the time, he doesn’t care for honor or subtlety, he just wants to have fun and make Batman miserable while he does it.
The funniest thing? Batman's hallucinations are his biggest fears and the darkest and most hidden thoughts in his brain. This means that Batman has imagined a complete musical number with the Joker. Things like these make this scene a lot more fun xD
Well, it is a little more complicated than that, and this entire moment is exactly how complicated. But Joker appearing isn't just a fear gas thing, it simply sped up a separate condition.
Don't blame poor tim, unlike batman he wasn't hallucinating the 'Mark Hamill' performance. Instead, he's hears a 'shitty bathroom' singer, while waiting for his boss's order to get out and knock down a guy wearing bomb-vest.
The movies never really show this side of joker. He’s supposed to be cracking some horribly dark Jokes all the time and doing goofy shit in disturbing ways. That’s what makes the character so iconic is he’s kinda funny sometimes and incredibly unpredictable. Heath got the closest with that pencil joke.
No he did not. The closest Heath Ledger got to the classic comic Joker was the scene where he dressed up as a nurse and blew up the hospital, and that was only because the explosion was delayed due a technical issue, catching him by surprise after he started getting impatient. Jack Nicholson definitely captured this side of the Joker, anyone who disagrees needs an enema.
@@BauthorFowler most of the movies make him like a movie psychopath whole ignoring his whole joker thing. He’s called the joker but never actually makes his bad jokes. Mark Hamill and Troy Baker were actually doing jokes. It’s literally in his name they might as well call him the clown.
3:36 Tim: Catchy song, eh Bruce? Batman: Just end it... please Tim: No no I'm serious! I mean, how often do you get a villian like this guy to sing for you? Batman: TIM Tim: You know I was just thinking about Karoke the other day. Could be fun? Batman: Are you done yet? Tim: yeah yeah...
Robin: Seriously though, can't we listen for a little bit longer? Batman: if I hear that "parents are dead" line One. More. Time... Robin: Killjoy... (Stops charisma)
"Barbara's dead and I am laughing,Jason Todd is dead and I am still laughing even I am dead and I can't stop laughing" XD I laughed so hard at that part
Qazeron Kipo ended up listening to it twice, first time I just to hear to whole song, second time is because I don't know I'm supposed to control Robin around XD
Lyrics: Take me on home to the asylum Never alone in the asylum Anarchy ruled, it was wild But through it all, you never smiled Joke's on you, I'm in your head so Look who's laughing now! Remember in Arkham City I killed your girl, so pretty That was the night you let me die But when I looked you in the eye That's when I knew we'd be together Look who's laughing now! I'm stuck in your head and I'm laughing! I filled you with dread and I can't stop laughing! Your parents are dead and I can't stop laughing! What else can I do? Now I'm part of you I am the Clown Prince of Crime And we've had a hell of a time You're part of me, I'm part of you And now there's nothing left to do I just can't wait till I'm in control Who'll be laughing then? I drove you round the bend and I'm laughing I'm with you till the end and I can't stop laughing I killed all your friends and I can't stop laughing *crazed laughter* Oh yeah! Think I can taste your fear Now that my time is near I'm in your blood, I'm so alive I only wish you'd let me drive It won't be long till I make you kill Who'll be laughing then? Barbara's dead and I'm laughing Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing I'm even dead and I can't stop laughing What else can I do? Now I'm part of you I drove you round the bend and I'm laughing I'm with you till the end and I can't stop laughing I killed all your friends and I can't stop laughing I'm cock-a-doodle-do All because of you I'm stuck in your head and I'm laughing I filled you with dread and I can't stop laughing Your parents are dead and I can't stop laughing *crazed laughter* I'm stuck in your head and I'm laughing I filled you with dread and I can't stop laughing Your parents are dead and I can't stop laughing What else can I do? Now I'm part of you
My favorite part about this is the lyrics can't be what Charisma is actually singing. He doesn't know Batman's secret identity. Who knows what he was actually singing about.
When I first got to this part I didn’t even realise I was meant to be doing something I was just laughing watching him sing and wondering how’s Batman going to get out of this one
+Logan Werling I usually like subtitles in case I miss something or if I'm listening to music while doing side missions I can follow along what's happening
It's a good thing that Bruce is hallucinating about Joker singing. just imagine it was him actually singing there. J: "Barbara's dead and I'm laughing." R: "Wha--" BOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
This is extra funny considering they had the motion capture actor for Joker dancing the movements along to Mark Hamill's recorded singing. That must have been a fun day 😂
I should probably acknowledge that the singer Johnny Charisma is voiced by the same guy who was Wally West/The Flash in the Justice League series and I feel bad for not noticing that until a post on Facebook told me.
thank God in every batman universe, no matter what year it takes place in, big band music is still popular. it embodies the mob era and when everyone knew how to dress. the good old days
“That’s all the bombs disarmed, time to take down Charisma” Robin just sits down while he listens to the song “Actually, I’ll wait a little longer. This is a catchy tune!”
"Barbara is dead and I'm laughing" (slight smirk) "Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing" (light chuckle) "I'M EVEN DEAD and I can't stop laughing" (laugh continuously)
