Batman Arkham Knight - Tips and Tricks | Combat Tips | Upgrade Tips 

Anybody still playing this game 8 years later?

I prefer to upgrade the abilities and gadgets over the armour... I feel it makes me get better at countering and avoiding damage rather than hoping my health doesn't deplete too soon

We all spam x or square and y or triangle when playing this game and when we see shields or electric dudes we run don't lie we are fighting the electric dudes

I remember when I had first got my ps4 and me an my brother were flaming joker in the opening…it was like 8:00pm and it was summer I’m pretty sure we planned on staying up all night. I’m 14 now even though I’m still a kid I look back upon those memories fondly

HUGE USEFUL TIP Been doing since my very first playthrough, if you are having a hard time drifting or going in very hard turns just switch to battlemode while facing the direction you want your “Tank” to turn, makes you drift in that direction in an instant with just a press of a button Try doing hard turns with the “Battlemode” you might never use the drift button ever again. Just look in a direction, right or left and tap battlemode, no need to use your breaks.

I love how the combat look so awesome in this game.

One thing about tank battles to not forget is clicking the right stick lets you zoom, almost like ADS in a first person shooter - only it's a toggle and not a hold. Makes lining up turret shots easier when trying to splash drones at medium to long distance while also strafing around. 10:59

I bought the trilogy about a month ago and playing them in order was good. Now I can enjoy Arkham Knight better. The mechanics on this game are much better than the last 2 games! I’m planning on completing this game 100%. Wish me luck!

BAT SWARM IS GONE I had to actually get gud and i'm struggling to. I WANT MY OP BAT SWARM BACK!!

The electric batons are the worst, but the Aerial Juggle is another way to beat them! (Instead of attacking them from the back) The Ground Pound attack (Aerial Attack) is great for shields and the directed version is when you can jump off to another enemy. Circle then XX but after that point the anolog stick and square to another enemy as soon as you walk up the enemy or with the shields. Most of the time for shields, electric batons, and guns I use the disarm and destroy move.

I love the Stealth of this game and see the goons be afraid of the Batman😂🤣

I would've loved to use these tips on my initial game and it's just that I like to play on my own efforts the first time, only checking tips if I'm way too stuck. Besides, there are some spoilers and we all love surprises! But no doubt, my first game would've been less frustrating with these strategies.

The MASSIVE problem I'm having with high level combat is the spinning camera that says "hey look over there!" In the middle of a combo. It completely throws off my directional inputs and makes the attack I was planning a complete gamble. My flying punch could suddenly be going into tasers or shields. It gets really infuriating.

Feel left out this is my first ever play through of Arkham knight a fair few years later :)

thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, the control scheme for the Batmobile caused me the most frustration this game has had to offer thus far. I'm a little over 40% with main story. lol

On console how do I use the knife take down the Brutes with duel knifes?

I spam electric shock and freeze blast and for stealth missions I use RC batarangs to knock them down, ground takedown, onto a ledge freeze blast a guy and glide kick him to the ground and take him down, works

A good tip that helped me towards the end of the game in my new game+ playthrough is to use the electric gun on brutes to gain distance from him during combat and focusing on smaller enemies. It also helps damage other enemies

Now i can play the hole game without getting hit in combat or bullets. Done it already like seven times. I am a master when it comes to Batman arkham knight. Wished that return to arkham had taken the combat from arkham knight in stead of just fix the old. And i am not saying that i am the best Batman player aroud. However, i think i have earn to be called a master in arkham knight. -Axeman

I just can not get through the riddler battle in new game plus. Camera just fucks everything up because there is always that one wrong coloured riddler-bot that jumps in the way. Also I do not know the most efficient strat on fighting big number of enemies.

Combat tips 4:25

I prefer to upgrade all weapons on Batmobile cuz I can compesate the lost Upgrade poits for combat and predator situations with skill and smart use of gadgets.

Fearx5 is King and complement with x5 hits to achieve Takedown moves.

I overall wanna improve on my combat and stealth,like with those you tubers that upload videos of them placing down explosive gel and all that bs.I just take my time and devise a strategy to divide and conquer.I feel like I can do more though.

First of all: Thanks, great job on the vid. But secondly: I'm 38% through and I still ain't sure about the combat enemies turning blue! I've googled and found "environmental moves" but that seems to be the ah, ahem ENVIROMENTAL objects, not the blue enemies! Oh well, time to grind out some of the challenges and get more upgrade points. I'm sure I'll learn it some.

Im at 91 percent going for 100 .....i decided to give up on the riddlers races and shiz ....they got way too many riddler things and some of them are just dark souls lvl bullcrap

for me armour is last thing to upgrade because of the dodge/evade/counter mechanics in this game is too good

Im playing this on pc in 2022, this game is underrated its a lot of fun, the pc port was terrible upon release but was quickly fixed, the batmobile is badass, some people dont like it, but the game is overwhelmingly positive rated on steam, id imagine it was a lot of fun on the ps4 back then.

The bat mobile is what sold the game to me

For new comers or people looking to get better in combat here are some things that will help you out. For the people with knifes and the ninjas hold the counter button (Triangle/Y) and move away with the left analog stick to avoid being hit. If you have the combat upgrade you can instantly knock them out by double tapping the counter button when you dodge the last attack. If you want to eliminate weapons all together so they can't use shields, electric sticks, guns, and knifes there is an upgrade that allows you to break the weapons but your combo hit counter has to be the color yellow not white in order to use the move (Square+Triangle/X+Y). It only works for Batman, Azrael, and Batgirl though. Enemies that are covered in electricity can easily be dealt with by using the batclaw on them (bottom left trigger+triangle/Y). Those are really the main useful tips that I know of. Hope this helps! Now go kick some criminal ass!!

I actually am not to impressed with the combat in this game. It feels Dow and sluggish and really easy to beat multiple people at a time. But I’m guess I’m comparing it to Spider-Man which felt so much more fluid when fighting. Much easier to do what you want, when you want to.
