Alfred saying “Don’t add me to the weight your carrying.” Was so emotional. Like he knew he didn’t want Bruce to suffer more with the conflict inside him.
Also, another thing that I noticed. When it did the little flashback of Batman's parents laying dead before him, Alfred's body is in the exact same position as his father's. It really hammers home that he was Bruce's father figure growing up, and if he lost him, it'd be like losing his dad all over again.
Ramon Corrales Alfred was always there for Bruce whenever he needed help, especially after the loss of his parents. He was willing to care and act as a father figure for him. Just like how Bruce was to Dick, Jason and Tim when their parents died. (except Tim's parents)
Alfreds in his Final moments, The Grim Reapers rises out from the deepest depths of hell and then goes, "Hell to the naw I'm out". And so Alfred is Revived and now the modern day Spartan.
Let's be honest here, the whole Bat-family including Nightwing, Red Hood and Damian would've come together and hunt down Bane if they knew what happened to Alfred
Batman Arkham Origins was a prequel. So Dick Grayson or first Robin was still a circus boy back then. Batman never met and sperm donated Talia so Damian wasn't born yet. Red Hood was Jason Todd, who becomes another Robin after Dick Grayson I think. Then he gets tortured and killed by Joker and Ra'as Al Ghul uses his Lazarus pit to get him back to life and then he escapes with a twisted mind (side effects of Lazarus pit) and becomes Red Hood who is just a good guy but kills people. For that all to happen, it would take them at least 10 years or more.
Inside Alfred's mind: Finally, the sweet embrace of death. No longer will I have to put up with a moody, full-grown, billionaire cosplayer. I can rest... Coming back to life: Well... it's still early
Similar to Thomas Wayne's death in Batman Begins. Moments before he dies, he just tells eight year old Bruce to "don't be afraid." Fitting parallel, given Alfred is a father figure to Bruce.
It's crazy because I knew for a fact that alfred would still be alive since he's in the other games but when I first heard batman scream out his name, I genuinely got really scared for alfred
@@billyboleson2830the way he screamed no and punched through solid rock shows how fucking pissed and frustrated at himself for not stopping crime and basically going full circle with what happened with his parents. 2nd favorite voice actor
David Anwar no. It's literally the same exact game as Batman Arkham city with a couple of new gadgets and moves, with an overly-huge map that takes forever to travel in, and a tremendously high amount of bugs and glitches that make the game impossible to play. It had its moments, I'm not gonna deny that, but it was definitely the worst out of all the other Batman Arkham games. I'm sorry, but that's just how it is. Just take a look at those beautiful fire effects to realize that this game was rushed and that the creators of this game did not put enough effort into it.
ArtinHeHe Don't forget the great bossfights from origins, the great extra challenges, mr freeze dlc was perhaps the best dlc of all batman games, multiplayer, great story and deathstroke alone makes it sound cool. Yes, this is not the best of the arkham games, but it certainly isnt as bad as what you say it is.
"Perhaps you relied on my Master's vow against using lethal force. Let me assure you that I subscribe to no such niceties." -Alfred Pennyworth as he loads a shotgun with malicious intent
I really like how when he says "come on dammit" and from then on, the game makes the subtitles "Bruce Wayne" and not "Batman". And with the flashbacks, shows how much bats puts up with. The constant murder, in the night all alone all the time. I mean the guys arch nemesis is a psychopath joker AND had his back broken by Bane. Best super hero of all time in my book
I remember getting this on Christmas EVE and staying up late and beating it Christmas Morning and as i beat Joker’s Face the sun ingame started to rise, i looked outside and the sun began to rise. I remember beating this game feeling happy about what i’ve done, because for a moment just once i felt that i too, am Batman.
"Captain Gordon is calling on anyone [short pause], anyone for assistance." I love that line! It basically shows how Gotham NEEDS Batman, how the Police NEEDS Batman... This Game has some flaws, but the Main Story definitely isn't one of them.
There are times like when facing off Deathstroke and even the TN-1 Bane is the highlights I believe is what made this game memorable in the end. That mutated Bane got me freaked out (with that music and my headphones on)
@@hammerbro1947 the deathstroke fight is everything I expected from a batman game and more. Fast, intense and brutal combat not some kind of arcade tank battle, they should’ve just left the batmobile as a mean of transportation instead of making a core part of the gameplay
You can really hear the emotion in his face. Alfred is his surrogate father. This really puts the human back in superhuman. Batman is depressed. Scared. Grieving. Furious. Alone. Vengeful. Worried. Despairing. This moment is truly super
Yeah, Roger Craig Smith nailed it. Hearing him get emotional started making me get emotional. I knew Alfred would be be fine, but man this scene still made me sad from hearing that anguish in his voice.
In the latin-spanish version Batman's voice acting was lacking of emotion on this part, unlike this version that portraits how Bruce is *AFRAID AS HELL*
This is very touching the comparison between Alfred to Bruce's Parents is a very subtle yet important one. Thomas Wayne may be his father but Alfred is his Dad
Roger Craig Smith was amazing at voicing Batman in this game. Although Kevin Conroy has the best and most famous Batman voice over, RCS is right behind him.
4:08 - 4:31 this entire part especially the part where batman puts his mask back on gives me the chills and makes me tear up,don't know why but still❤️❤️🥺🥺🤩🤩
The delivery in this game, and the new cast is just amazing. Roger Craig Smith's voice is perfect at portraying Batman as the Brash and arrogant character he was in his early years. And he conveys the Batman's emotion even better than, dare I say, Kevin Conroy himself. And Troy Baker sounds just like Mark Hamill's version, but younger and a little more unhinged himself. The little difference his performance had is what made this joker special for me.
I have been playing them all in order. Now im on Orgins, i beat Asylum and City already. Chuck...it is phenomenal thus far. And I love the voice of Batman, even better then Kevin Conroy, even IF it is politically incorrect for a Batman fan.
Man I love that transition from Alfred to Bruce's parents, to me it's like for that one moment Bruce felt like that helpless little boy again, unable to do anything but stare at there lifeless bodies.
This was absolutely the best incarnation of Bane. He wasn't just some idiotic brute. His mind was his most deadly weapon, he just used his physical brutality to achieve his aims.
The fact Alfred, knowing the guilt and pain Bruce had carried for his parents death…In his last moments tells the boy he raised to not blame himself for letting this happen essentially. Bruce said in a comic that he had two fathers, Thomas and Alfred. Scenes like this between these two are always a favourite for me. Origins is such an amazing game, underrated as hell.
Alfred... Alfred I am in your house, Bruce. Come home. Say your good byes. Once you’ve had time to turn grief to anger, then you’ll be ready to face me. I have left enough life in him for some final words… If you hurry. ALFRED!! Alfred!? Alfred!? My Detective Vision is down. Hang on. Alfred. (The computer isn’t working. I need to restore Detective Vision before I can find Alfred).There. That should do it. Alfred!? ALFRED!? No! Alfred - Can you hear me? I’m going get you out of there. Alfred? ALFRED? Alfred - you can’t - Don’t add me to the weight you carry. No… NO! Paramedic 1: 250. Charging! Paramedic 2: Clear? Paramedic 1: CLEAR! Come on, dammit! You’re going to be all right. I know I haven’t always been supportive of what you do, but I understand now. Go. They need you out there. I can’t defend Gotham. I can’t even defend my own home. Master Bruce - Radio: Any available unit, repeat ANY available unit. Please re- Master Bruce - Now is not the time for doubt. I can’t do it. I can’t stop them. No. You can’t - not on your own. But it’s high time you realize that you’re a man not an island. And a man’s strength comes not from just brawn and intelligence but also from his allies. (he turns the radio on) Radio: Priority one alert: The Joker has escaped from his call and is leading the riots at Blackgate. Repeat: the Joker has taken over the entire prison. Multiple casualties. Multiple hostages - civilians and prison guards. Again, we have lost Blackgate. Captain Gordon is calling on anyone, anyone for assistance. They need you. No, they need us.
I will never understand the hate for Arkham Origins when emotional, epic, and overall incredibly written cutscenes like this, among other great qualities, exist. This game is a masterpiece.
When Bruce is yelling for Alfred you can hear how much he loves him despite their differences! One of the most moving scenes in any video game I have ever played!
The way Batman looks up to the sky when Alfred goes into a state of death makes me think he's holding back tears and looking to his parents for guidance
SPOILER WARNING FOR THE BATMAN Did anyone else see a strong resemblance between the scene in the batman where alfred almost dies and this ? The way batman is scared and rushes to save him and then having a heartwarming conversation that bonds them even more. I really felt that this moment of the game inspired the scene in the movie, but it may be just me
I came here looking for this! The words of Bruce to Alfred, about how he never thought he would feel that kind of fear again, the fear of losing someone he cares about. Here he sees his parents again, relieving the same nightmare.
I like that the woman at the bank flashes before his eyes. Every innocent he fails to save especially this early on in his career should be someone he carries with him or at least cares about.
I appreciate how the game made it a point to show how deep the bond between these two are. Remember, Alfred has been there to put diapers on Bruce. This kind of fear could break any man.
Alfred is to Batman what Uncle Ben is to Spider-Man. The true anchor and father figure that keeps them in check, preventing them from ever crossing the line from hero to becoming a villain.
This game honestly doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. Was it the best game in the series, no. But seeing Batman scared for one of the few people he considers family was a powerful moment
The way Batman yells "NO" is so powerful, meaning that he cant let alfred die and has to save him.Roger Craig Smith did do a good job portraying kevin's batman, but younger, aggressive
I always loved the relationship between Bruce and Alfred. Where he acts standoff-ish with the robins at times, his relationship with alfred was always a bit warmer and seemed to cut through the brooding most of the times. Anyways, it would have been funny if Bruce was like: "No.. they need us." and then called Superman. *Roll credits*
