"Then I just waited for you to show up as you always do, to take me back where I belong....with the rest of the crazy people." 😭 I remember reading this as a kid. Still one of the most heart-breaking stories ever told about a Batman villain or any character, period. Bruce Timm is a genius.
And this is why I don't think for one second Harvey doesn't know that Bruce is Batman. He more than likely dose but doesn't admit to it because that'd result in the final barrier breaking
"Accomplished what batman and the entire Gotham police department couldn't, the complete destruction of the criminal mastermind. Two face" Chills with that voice acting and soundtrack.
I remember just a little while before 9/11 spotting this storyline as a DC comic, buying it because I always loved how BTAS handled Harvey's story. Then realizing it was written by BTAS vet Bruce Timm, good God! The fireplace scene still haunts me to this day! 🇵🇷🇺🇸😎
Great peace of ART! i read the story behind a batman book i bought back in 2005, and having to see it just as i read it years back it is such a treat! best batman audio novel of all Time!
I mean, this is fine and enjoyable on its own, but set it in the DCAU and it completely undoes the closure of Harvey's final episode of the Batman animated series. What's more is that if you watch this chronologically it doesn't work. This likely takes place after the New Batman Adventures which is already set 2 years after the original series, so once Harvey becomes Two-Face again, what's the point? You never see him again. He's not in Static Shock, Batman Beyond, Justice League, or anything that followed, so why undo his arc that ended with a touching moment and the quote "Good old Bruce. Always looking out for me"?
Two Face did have cameos in all those shows you mentioned, either as a practice robot or in an alternate universe. In fact, The New Batman Adventures already undid that finale showing that Harvey had returned to crime and with the half of his face still disfigured. The show just never explained what happened in the middle.
6 years, you're telling me the newest content added here was from 6 years! These stories are gold. Damn comic industry going woke and going broke for no reason
@@NeonelLoreck yes all the way from the first episode. I would be there on time after school to watch them. This being a little darker continuation definitely makes my day
Thank you for this video. I own the original copy of the Black and White comic back in Italy and I couldn't stop reading it during all my adolescence. The rendition is absolutely perfect.
Note: John Fitzgerald (Two-Face/Harvey Dent) voiced Nobunaga Oda in Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. He did a great job IMO. A shame he hasn't done much acting.
Yes Madeline killed her (obvious by the message on the wall and previous context). As for the how it is hard to say. The best we can do is guess. Based on the body's location and the massive amount of blood I would venture a guess Madeline knocked her down the stairs and stabbed her with a knife which is how there is so much blood. Alternatively she could have been shot and fell down the stairs. There really is not enough info available to say for certain.
I think was originally an episode of the 4 and final season of btas however I guest andrea Romano decided not to pretty good story evoled around Harvey dent
Yeah I think so, since it was illustrated and written by Bruce timm. This was probably meant to bridge the gap in two faces' story arc in between season 3 of the original btas, and tnba, aka season 4. Plus they were already heading in the direction of Harvey becoming whole again, mentally and physically in the episode 'second chance'. Also, that would sorta make him the only villain who's re-design actually makes sense since it shows him getting plastic surgery, only to have the two face persona resurface, and cause him to mutilate himself, all over again. A similar thing occurred in the actual comics in the silver age I believe. Either way, it makes way more sense than joker's new look, which I've heard people say looks more like Yakko Warner's evil uncle than supposedly batman's arch nemesis lol.
When I was in sixth grade, I did an essay on this comic… but I wasn’t aloud to do dark knight returns (it was a character study) I still don’t understand why (we were aloud to choose our own character/book)
