Love this run on Batman. And vol 2 is my favorite of the 3. I love the alternating issues building up to the climax. There's a lot of character growth with Damian, where you get to see that he genuinely wants to be a better hero and make his dad proud. And I love that the first person he really connects with is Dick. The only aspect I didn't love was Morrison's take on Red Hood. They don't really seem to get the character, I think. PS: reading Final Crisis beforehand might actually make things MORE confusing lol. It's my favorite DC event, and I would recommend you read it, but it is VERY confusing the first time through.
Interesting that Vol 2 is your favourite! I must say Damian has a fantastic arc all throughout this run, and you find out that deep down he has a good heart. I think a lot more people would like him if he was written this way more often rather than just being relegated to the “bratty kid” role. I did find that Red Hood was represented a little oddly here, but I think that’s mostly due to him still being a pretty new character around this time. Or maybe I was just enjoying the art too much to notice 😄 And lol it sounds like there’s no “non-confusing” way to read Final Crisis

That would be cool, we haven’t had that many live action depictions of Robin. I wonder if studios would even be comfortable to feature Damian since he’s not very well known by the general public, so audiences might be confused why this Robin is trying to kill people at first 😄

I haven’t gotten it yet, but I plan to, I’m just waiting for a few more books to release in the coming weeks so I can bundle them into one order. And yes, the goal is to eventually review every book I have in my collection 🙂
I really like this book and morrison as well and definitely if I had to chose if I meet Joker or professor pig by all means I woul pick joker😆 But I need to say that even when I read final crisis and vol.1 of this book at the end I was confused as hell and I hope I was alone 😂
Between Joker and Pyg, I would choose “run for my life” because otherwise I’m dead either way 😅 And haha it seems like the consensus is that Final Crisis is confusing no matter what
