Yeah, but it's really an empty threat. Batman doesn't kill and supposedly avoids permanent injuries. So, there's nothing to fear really for a hardy villian.
@@Volodymyr.Yermakov That's true for a Batman who's still in a sound state of mind. But the one thing that Batman truly fears however, is going through the trauma of losing his family again. The "Bat-family" is the closest thing he has, and if he's driven to a desperate point where he has to choose between saving their lives, and killing the villain... I'm pretty sure he won't fail his family a 2nd time.
Yeah his plan for himself really doesn't make sense. But that might be because the other members of the Justice League can already overpower him though
If Batman turned rouge most often it would be due to mind control so I mean yea it might work if he just wine rouge by himself tho he can just get his back broken again
I love how almost every other league member’s contingency plan involves some complex procedure such as manipulation, meanwhile Batman’s is just “Bro ur dads dead lol”
Batman is the only one capable of immediate manipulation. He had the tools and knowledge. No one else does. So naturally his contingency has to be way less complex for immediate application. Well that, and any one of them could just pull out his heart.

In the comics a dude froze Plastic Man and then shattered him. A few minutes later he made like the T-1000 and pulled himself back together. Plus, his organs are stated to be just as stretchy and durable as the rest of him, so trying to attack those is useless as well (unless you had an Invader Zim style organ snatcher). There's a reason Batman brought up storage instead of "bash him to pieces". O'Brian is practically immortal!
@Kowl Yeah and as Flashpoint Paradox and Flash War have shown paralysis really isn't cutting it for a contingency plan. Tbf even Batman himself sounds unsure of this method so I think it's fair to say that he needs to review that contingency plan so that it works for both Barry and Wally (although I don't know how you'd effectively incapacitate Wally considering he's covered up all his weaknesses, while he maybe brings too much to the table to deal with like his ability to time and dimension travel at will). Also Green Arrow has been able to fight without arms before so Batman's contingency plan is faulty in the case of this one. Although tbf Green Arrow is still human like Batman himself.
Reminds me of Jamm in the Drawfee video where they draw DC heroes they've never heard of. (Be warned, their interpretation of Jamm can never be unseen.)

Well... the contingency for the Flash was awful. Paralysis? He can pass through solid objects, no way you paralyze him. Use extreme cold, it would be much more effective.
@@AysaMetric On the contrary. Flash's ability to vibrate through objects is exactly what Batman is counting on. If you read the comic these plans come from, Batman made a special Bullet that vibrates in a way that would lodge into Flash when he tried to vibrate through it and paralyze him. Hitting Flash is nearly impossible. He's literally faster than anything you can imagine, but if you abuse him being cocky enough to let you hit him, he'll go down pretty easily. Like how Superman just lets bullets bounce off of him because he's used to them not being able to hurt him.
*"No way you paralize The Flash."* - got shot by bullets/arrows - having a bomb on his wrist - Superman broke his leg - get caught by a sticky thing that Zoom used I don't think there is no way to paralize him. If he's that good at passing through objects, so he won't have any trouble. he can do, but not always can.
I mean, the only thing Batman really has going for him is his mind and determination. He's strong, rich, and brilliant, but he's still just a man. Catching him off guard, or keeping his thoughts unbalanced is the best way to overcome his cunning.

Funfact: The contingency is called Agamemnon, based on a Greek emperor whose life was basically defined by treachery and heinous crime. Basically Batman acknowledges that in spite of everything, this is a betrayal of people he cares about
Actually, it's "Agamemmno." Agamemmno was a villain from a storyline called "The Silver Age" written by Mark Waid, wherein a group of villains switched bodies with the Justice League with Agamemmno's help and proceeded to try to take over the world. This story was followed up on in Waid's next story with the Justice League- The Tower of Babel, of which the Doom movie was based. In it, it was revealed that after the Agemammno incident, Batman created the contingency plans to disable the Justice League, which were stolen by Ra's Al Ghul to disable the League in his bid to depopulate the Earth.
@@RDMacQ To be fair, Agamemno and his origin story are almost certainly inspired by the Agamemnon in Greek myth (not to mention the similarity in their names). Before the events in with the JL, Agamemno's own subjects attempted to assassinate him, which indirectly led to him discovering Earth, and then near the end of his arc he was betrayed again by Lex Luthor. Definitely a connection between the two Agamemies. So technically you are both right.

The less time Batman has to think about what the big picture is and the less focused he is, the better off you’ll be.

Agememnon Contingency. Code Name: Conquerer. Nolan Grayson, better known as Omni-Man is a formidable opponent, rivaling the strength, speed, and endurance of Superman. But although he does not share the same Kryptonian weakness to Kryptonite, he does have an easily exploitable weakness. Viltrumite's share a common weakness within the inner ear that makes them highly susceptible to high frequency sounds emitted into their upper ear canal. This would with brief exposure allow for others to incapacitate him and with longer exposure this would likely be fatal. The sound frequencies found in Black Canary's recordings of her own screams played at higher volumes would likely work for this.
@@angusmarch1066 I technically spoiled the comics but I think that if you're reading my comment people will probably have guess that I was going to spoil what Omni-Man's weakness is when I said his name in the first sentence lol. Should I add a spoiler warning?
One of my favorite parts about Batman’s contingency plans is that they are constant works in progress (for many of them, he says that further research is required). This means that even with how busy Batman is with issues spanning from small crimes in Gotham to the potentially intergalactic threats that the Justice League fights, Batman is still putting considerable amounts of time (constantly) into figuring out and researching ways to take down his friends. He’s likely even taking copious mental notes on every move they make (and their strengths, weaknesses, motivations, etc…) while he’s fighting enemies alongside them.
He also has to keep up on his training and combat drills, and he has to maintain a multi-billion dollar company, also also he has to maintain a social life as Bruce Wayne
Batman holds his own as a member of the justice league because of his vast intellect and attention to detail. He puts his brilliance to work through planning and testing. He makes sure he understands every detail about something. That’s why he’s my favorite. He proves that strength of the human mind.

Whoever wrote this dialougue deserves some credit. They could've just written Batman as cold and calculating. But instead they have Batman apologizing for whomever finds this recording and referring to fellow Leaguers as his friends. It really shows that Batman views his plans a deeply regrettable necessity.
Green Arrow is a human, with no superpowers, and despite being a simple one, Batman even comes up with a contingency for him. It really shows the respect he has for Olly

The Rock of Eternity, being the origin of his, and Black Adam's power, would make a possible target, but a last resort. His physical appearance mimics that of Superman's build, but it is his mannerisms and maturity that give away his biggest factor about his identity; his real age. Billy Batson, a 12 year old boy living in a foster home, despite having the Wisdom of Solomon, has yet to be humbled by the League's entire roster, at most. Should he go rogue, like Batman, hostages will be a great distraction, especially if they are his foster family. If forced into a hand-to-hand, the Justice Buster suit will be able to restrain him until he willingly calls out the phrase that reverts him to his real identity. The alloys Adamantium and Vibranium for example have been proven strong enough to cut through even the Hulk’s steel like skin, as evidenced by his battles with the Wolverine and Black Panther. It would be easy enough to acquire either of those alloys and construct a suit able to combat him and deliver a fatal blow. The plan for green lantern is the most complex one. For all other members, their specific set of powers and weaknesses are already known, making it much more easier to prepare a contingency plan. Sadly would not work. Constantine does not need magic words. Constantine would possibly be the hardest case for Batman to trap without killing him. Zatanna's magic can counter his, and being former lovers, she would likely be a soft spot for him, but even then, Constantine has dealt with other magic users his whole life, and fought Zatanna specifically before.
