Batman Forever - Trailer #1 

I always say Batman Forever is the best Batman movie of all time.

Batman (1989) - The Golden Age Batman Returns - The Bronze Age with a little bit of the edge from the 90’s Batman Forever - The Silver Age while having the darker elements of the previous films Batman and Robin - A loving tribute to the 1966 Batman series with a dash of corporate interference (the last part of the sentence is not a compliment btw, the first half is though)

I Agree With You I Hate Batman Movies Of 00's But Tim Burton's And Joel Schumacher's Was, Is, And They Will Always Gonna Be My Favourite Batman Movies I Grew Up With Batman Forever And It Is A Special Movie For Me

The cartoon series of Batman was my introduction to the character but the movies Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were my introduction to the movies, I know it gets a lot of hate but I put the blame on WB for wanting to go in a more child friendly approach after Batman Returns. But anyway I really enjoy Mr. Schumacher's Batman movies, they're guilty pleasures of mine and I still at the very least have fun. R.I.P Joel Schumacher.

YEEEES! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that remembers that, I was a kid in the nineties and the perfect age for this movie. The Warner Brothers store had this trailer on loop exactly like you said, and they have the coolest merchandise for the movie. I remember getting the garbage can and the key chain for the movie. Man you cannot get those memories back, this movie played such a big role in my childhood

@@maxmahaney6963 Yup. And a lot of non-comic book films and non-sequels use music from very different movies. Ang Lee's "Hulk" used the main title music from "The Devil's Advocate" for the teaser trailer, for example.

The original RoboCop 1987 trailer used the musical score from The Terminator 1984 because Basil P. wasn't finished with it in time for the trailers.

​@@dm1jdWell they did use for it for the trailer for Batman and Robin as well lol and they definitely had Elliot Goldenthal's score by that point. But your point stands on this movie. Truthfully, Elfman's music sells the film much better..

Batman V Superman is on a technical level a far better film, but rewatchability is a big factor for me. I'll rewatch Forever but I can't bring myself to rewatch bvs again.

I'm sure hard-core fans noticed it back in the day. But overall, they aren't as noticeable here. The suit is darker, abd he spends more time in the shadows like he should. Plus the camera doesn't linger on the Bat-nips, Bat-ass, and Bat-dick as much as in B&R.

They tried to fit Elfman's score with Schumacher's visuals. It just doesn't work.

Old trailers all used to be like this - if you watch the Batman 89 and Returns trailers they're the same.

I feel like this is the home video trailer, those basically assumed you saw the movie already. This isn’t the one I remember in theaters

Tommy Lee Jones was not Two-Face, he was a Joker persona with a purple half-face instead of a suit. Two-Face is supposed to be a calm, yet lethal sadist, not a maniacal, giggling buffoon. Val Kilmer was an average Batman, but sucked as Bruce Wayne. Michael Keaton was SORELY missed. Jim Carrey was just Jim Carrey in Riddler pajamas. Too over-the-top goofy for a smart and cunning villain. Chris O'Donnell was way too old to play Robin. Gotham City's overall makeup is not a 3D Technicolor Circus. It's dark, grim, gloomy. Story was weak and campy as hell. Riddler's agenda(aside from revealing who Batman really is) was dumb AF. Acting was wooden. The only real joys in this movie are Nicole Kidman, Michael Gough(Alfred), Seal's Kiss By A Rose, the ribcage Batmobile, the Batboat, and Two-Face and Riddler playing Battleship at the end.

@@baldmoviebuff898 While I agree TLJ was more so a hybrid of 2face & Joker, I didn't mind it. Val Kilmer was an excellent Batman, what the hell are you talking about? He was also good as Bruce Wayne. Much better than anyone else IMO. Jim Carrey portrayed Riddler excellently. He's supposed to be goofy and campy who sends riddles. That's exactly what he does. Chris O'Donnell was too old to play Robin, but tons of movies cast people who are tool old for a role. EX: Toby as Peter Parker, a high school student. The point of the neon with Gotham is because it's too dark. It's a gloomy city seemingly always at night. They have to lighten it up somehow. I thought the story was pretty average as far as a Batman flick goes. Riddlers agenda was revenge and identity reveal...something that literally all Batman villains try to do. You have failed at changing my mind.

It was. I remember when I went to see this movie in the theaters, I was expecting the Elfman score to be in the movie and didn't care for the Goldenthal score that was used. They did it again for the Batman and Robin trailers using the Elfnan score. Not sure why.

Batman & Robin definitely, but Batman Forever is a whole different story. Joel Schumacher wanted to make a dark Batman movie, but Warner Bros. constantly meddled with the production because they were hellbent on selling toys. So Schumacher just gave up with Batman & Robin.
