To be fair, Keaton batman was always pretty brutal. In the first movie he literally stuck a frag grenade in a thugs mouth and trapped him in a sewer to blow him up.
The fact that he stood tall immediately after being tossed and broken, just to show him that "No... I am a human, and I'm not afraid of you!"... man, he WAS the best Batman.
I think because he was already older, his body didn’t handle it as well. If he was in his prime he probably would’ve finished the Kryptonian and left to fight someone else
@@eyeofbrown1387 facts, the fact he was able to stand back up for a bit at that age is already a good feat. He’d likely walk it off and continue fighting
I’m going to be the nerd in the room and say that there’s no possible way for Batman to have done what he did in this clip. Don’t forget, these are kryptonians. He’s essentially fighting inexperienced Superman. No matter how powerful his C4 charges are, they absolutely cannot affect a kryptonian this way. Realistically, Batman should have been a puddle of blood after that slam.
@@rickygonzalez79nah Ezra Miller and his psychotic evil behavior put this movie in the grave Dude literally kidnapped a child against their parents will and brought her to his house, which was filled with loaded guns, bullets and drugs. His only defense is that he's pansexual transgender, like wtf? When did that ever excuse someone from child endangerment and being a pedophile? Only Warner bros would allow that kind of crap. it's a slap in the face to real Justice.. yet that's what these movies are about?? That's why this movie bombed and I'm glad it did
That was exactly the problem. A character from a film almost 35 years old was the best thing about this film. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Keaton as Batman, but if this film was meant to forward a new Justice League story, that was a huge red flag.
Keaton really gave us everything we knew and loved about 1989 Batman. He even wanted to keep the suit as it was while production wanted to change it. Legend 🔥
@@stoneddeer8646No bro. He means that Batman has a heart just like captain america. Because he stood up alone against whole army even if he was injured
If this was truly Tim Burton's '89 Batman, who fought only goons and thugs in alleys and an old church, he wasn't used to fighting aliens, especially Kryptonians. So, he went out like a King! Long live Batman '89!!!
This was an alternate version. Keaton's Batman was actually confirmed to be in the same universe as Christopher Reeves' Superman in the comic book continuation
Well lets see. Val just didn't look right. Clooney looked like buzz lightyear. Bale... hmmm... felt idk... like he was trying too hard to be batman. Ben Affleck I liked. Keaton is my favorite.
This scene was so fake after the first bomb explodes and Batman starts planting the second bomb, the kryptonian doesn’t react at all he just watches as Batman puts a bomb on his chest. He could’ve stopped them right there if he wasn’t so slow
The fact that he died after is the most realistic part. Because for a human there is no way to walk out of that throw. The fact that he got up was fie to adrenaline
Well yes he's just a dude with expensive weapons but what would you expect?! He's still rocking 1990s tech so no Superman level bat suit. And he was the oldest Batman in costume we have ever seen literally in his 60s and he had already had a few battles breaking super girl out of prison, then theres the broad daylight in the middle of a flat desert thing. While facing a giant criptonian toe to toe after a plane crash 🤷🤣🤣🤣🤣 ummm this dude is the baddest mf around hahaha. Y'all crazy with that but he lost stuff. You clearly took that loss hard AF sitting there in your Batman PJs like you on some Saturday morning cartoon shit. LMFAO I am joking around btw🤣 but my boy Keaton did kill this role. I was impressed
Oh that's a good point no superman level batsuit. This batman should have been dead immediately but it's not expected considering how poorly the movie was made. Keaton needed a better send off than this. This is just insulting to the character and again fan fiction writing at its cringest And yep the kryptonian did get back up moments later as batman died. So the whole battle was a complete waste
@@ZeonEons why would you say that like a human with old school tech and gadgets only designed to fight other humans is supposed to beat a kryptonian in a fair 1v1 fight like that's a normal thing? That's like pitting a chihuahua vs a full grown Cane Corso and expecting the chihuahua to win bc he has a spike collar and lvl 1 Kevlar vest on like that's really gonna help any. Oh don't forget that the chihuahua right before the fight vs the Cane Corso was in multiple other dog fights throughout the day although they're the same size still its exhausting and then he gets into a plane crash and fights after all that and he's a 8yr old dog which is 60 something in human years and the Cane Corso is a 2yr old prime built killing machine. Now do you see how stupid that comment is you made saying "yeah and he lost to a single kryptonian" if you need a better example we can use a 2yr old vs a heavyweight MMA fighter in their prime lol 😆
It's pretty impressive, too! Placing each charge and getting to the other side of his body to avoid the blast! That was a cool fight. Showing his skill and intelligence, which are hallmarks of Batman! Making him more like in the comics also! Too bad it got wasted in this movie.
Classic Batman plot armor moment. This whole movie makes a big deal about kryptonians being able to noticeably keep up with the speed of the Flashes, but as usual, everyone forgets they have super speed when Batman shows up.
My favorite Batman of all time. Also a perfect depiction of how he would fight and overcome a way stronger bad guy but he's also human and does get hurt.
The sad truth is to know that 1989 Batman Fate was that he was always going to die with general Zod. Whether Barry Allan appeared or not. This was inevitable. Not an alternate timeline either.
I think Batman would have figured out he needed to get the Kryptonians’ head gear off. Remember, they’re vulnerable to sensory overload (Kal learned to focus and tune it out).
You are Fucking delusional. - definitely an idiot & to those liking, same goes to you. Bet you wish Ezra would come crawl up in your bed and tell you Flash stories.
I actually really enjoy this movie, I think it's because he was my Batman from my childhood. I When I was like 4 years old there was a big deal with people protesting to remove Michael Keaton as batman. I remember seeing this movie for the first time and almost cried tears because Michael Keaton really gave us his all in this movie. Was a real treat to see him in the cowl again.
@@_V.Va_ "I actually really enjoy this movie" Point out where I said this movie was good and that everyone else should think so? I just would like to maybe say, if you can't add anything of substance or fact, don't comment anything at all, it just looks infantile. Imagine, like you making videos about Optimus prime "getting silly then locking in"; I can't really think of any adult that really likes transformers, but if your brain reacts to things like transformers that's great, it's your thing! I would just suggest maybe checking out the entirety of someone's comment without jumping the gun.
@@_V.Va_eh I don't see it that way it's a multiverse plot line you know you never get the characters in their true natural feeling settings in plots like that. It's kinda like just a glimpse into those worlds and always gives me an almost West world feeling like viewing behind the curtain and watching the watered down clones of the ones you know act it all out🤷🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣 fuck that's hard to explain LMFAO
This reminds me of the Justice league animated series where Bats was evading Darkseid’s Omega Beams. This Kryptonian is friggin fast but Batman in his old age can hang on to him and plant 3 bombs. What a Batman!
Loved #MichaelKeaton in this #Flash film !!! He will always be the real #Batman in my book hands down !!! #Batman and #BatmanReturns changed the whole game in the late 80s thanks to him and #TimBurton !!! Much love !!! 🔥💙👍🏾💪🏾✊🏾👌🏾✌🏾💯 !!!!!
@@holylaci7539 I love the dichotomy of Batman fighting for his life against mooks and loons in Halloween costumes but we're also supposed to believe he can handle himself against wizards, monsters and demi-gods.
I had the one where his belt buckle comes out on a string and the jack Nicholson joker toy where his hat came off.. I use 2 have so much fun with those toys and watching those Burton batman movies
This is why Keaton/Batman is the goat....Keaton was the one who got me to the theater to even see the movie. I would have waiting for it on streaming otherwise
Solamente vi flash por la aparicion de batman de keaton. Su final fue triste...si tenia mas tiempo seguro les buscaba las debilidades a los kriptonianos y no moria.
I haven't seen a single comment mention that this isn't just "a kryptonian". This is Nam-Ek, a supersoldier Kryptonian that is genespliced with a rondor beast.
He fought a krytonian without any armor or krytonite. Yeah, Keaton is still one of my favorite Batman portrayals on film. 1989 Batman had me hooked as a kid, then the Animated Series every Sunday night were the glory days🙏🏿👍🏿
Seeing Batman in the movies in the 90s and then to see his end come this way gave such nostalgia to think where he came from The Burton Universe to this. Incredible ending
What annoyed me was the portrayal of such a stupid Batman. He was exposed to both the abilities of Kryptonians as well as what weakens them when freeing Supergirl and he doesn't boost any of that tech and decides to fight a Kryptonian invasion with his conventional tools???? . Even if Batman were so old he was in hospice being spoon fed tapioca pudding in between diaper changings he'd never be so dumb
They cannot make a Kingdom Come movie until AFTER this woke DEI crap has run its course and they are 3-5years into a GOOD DCU. Then do it as a multiverse stand alone story.
One of the best. I personally like bale and Affleck too . And can't forget the OG adam west ... They were all different but all in a good way. George Clooney and valrog Kilmer were not great Batmans in my opinion . And Just like to me I hold Christopher reeves and Henry civil in the same regard as superman .
