The way this played out in the book was better. The fight ends with Superman flying Darkseid to the edge of the universe and pinning him to the source wall. Also i loved how well this movie captured Michael Turner's art

Yep - I don't know how they messed up DC that bad. Was it the writers, the directors, or the producers I don't know, but I hope we will see more from DC - as the source material is definitely on par with Marvels. Though I must say that SuperMan is not my favorite from that universe. I prefer Batman, Constantine, the martian manhunter and Flash - at least based on the comics characters. On the other side there is the Spider-Man and the whole Spider-verse

Superman does not get good representation and half the time his character is being mishandled by making him an evil tyrant because they don't know how to write the character. He has so many great stories but Hollywood and in some cases the animated movies don't ever do him justice.

very good reason for that. Kryptonians emit a force field around their skin that protects them from damage from most attacks. It makes sense that places with bends of skin would have a stronger ~ 2x the forcefield strength. Cleavage, underboob, armpits, thighs, crotch, ass cheeks, where the neck meets the shoulder. This is why Superman can get his shirt and pants legs and cape ripped off but never his bottom underwear and rips in his shirt always start from the belly or outer shoulder going inward.
