BATMAN NES Video Game Review & Alternate ENDing??! (The Irate Gamer)

I always loved the NES ending, it's hilarious to watch Batman give a pre-mortem one liner, and just flat out THROW Joker to his death. Then again, I always had a theory that Keaton's Batman dropped Joker into the acid on PURPOSE, so maybe that was the original movie ending after all.

A new irate gamer video WITH a new intro to boot? Cant imagine a better thing to see during a rainy day like this Friday. And perfect timing after arriving just after seeing the newest episode of that new Superman show too.😁

I honestly love watching IG. I know some people look at his channel as no more than an AVGN knock-off, but I think it's more so a channel that takes its on spin on the AVGN style and ideas. I can never get enough of this channel. Great video, too! Love it :)

I love the way you keep these videos short and action-packed. The production value is insanely great, especially in that intro. Plus you film from multiple angles and have lots of green screen scenes. This is nothing short of brilliant and it's cool to see how you're the same guy I first discovered back in 2009 - for better and worse. Keep it up, I'm subscribed and will keep watching :)

Before any AVGN fans say Irate Gamer is copying AVGN again, let me just point out that the AVGN has copied off the Irate Gamer multiple times, notably, Irate Gamer reviewed ET, Yo Noid!, Cool Spot, Kid Icarus, and R.O.B. well before AVGN got to them, of course, AVGN didn’t review Yo Noid! or Cool Spot, but he would have if Pepsiman hadn’t turned them into copies of Pepsiman.

I never realized the first boss was Killer Moth. I always thought it was just a random thug.

The earlier cutscenes were based on the comic book batman at that time. But the game had to be focused on movie Batman. That's probably why they deleted all the cutscenes that did not fit.

Great episode! The bat signals at the beginning and at the end are invisible, but it's not a big deal! Strangely enough, if you scroll with your mouse cursor along the video's timeline, you can clearly see both bat signals.

I wish I was old enough to understand the summer of Batman I was only 2 months old when the movie got released

Great episode, the 1989 "Batman" movie is definitely a childhood favorite of mine, and this game was the shit! There's no denying the game is hard as hell replaying it as an adult. Yeah I learned about the prototype, while some of the cutscenes could've stayed in the game (the Vicky Vale scene in particular), I'm glad they changed it to fighting The Joker and going with the movie's ending.

This would be more enjoyable if you put a Soylent ad at the start and told us Genie? Yeah, he's still around. Wise Sage likes baseball.

I always hated that second boss. Even if you beat the rest of the stage without taking a single hit, once you run out of projectiles you're screwed. It's just too hard too soon. The next few bosses at least feel like a fair challenge (until the Joker, of course.)

Wow! This video opening for The Irate Gamer is boss! Better than some of the games themselves. You should make an Irate Gamer game like the Angry Video Game Nerd game.

new episode and intro, indeed a great part of Batman's (Sunsoft) Difficulty is knowing when to use your gadgets and when to rely on your Bat-fists. Batman doesnt have endless Batarangs at his disposal, in fact he's always been one to conserve his gadgets for when they're needed most.

In order to beat all those enemies with no batarangs, you must become the Batman. Speaking of which, those prototype cutscenes remind me a bit of Ninja Gaiden's.

I always thought it was annoying how the number of boomerangs would go down even though they come back to you.

With Robin constantly getting in there and saying those things, I thought you, or you as Batman, would eventually get in there to surprise him, sort of like what you did to yourself when you kept hitting the reset button over and over again in one of your "History Of Video Games" reviews.

We need an Irate Gamer meets AVGN meets Pat The NES Punk meets Keith Apicary... Am I asking for too much?! 😂😂😂 Another great review been a fan for a long time! Never knew about that alternate ending boss haha! That would've been an epic disappointment!

Im guessing they needed to make space on the cart to add the joker fight, so cut scenes were removed

I think they got rid of the old stuff because Batman doesn't look like Keaton Batman. Maybe they thought they wouldn't be able to use their likeness so they went ahead with their versions and found out last minute that they could use Keaton and Nicholson, so they capitalized?
