To add onto the comments saying you forgot to mention the Wii version: The Star Wars characters you mentioned were just easter eggs which when finding all 5, allowed you to unlock Han Solo who uses his blaster from LSW:TCS Doesn't do more damage or anything since guns are insta-kill in this game but it's cool running around as Han Solo blasting people with a space shooter.
@@JonatasAdoM Lore accurate to Star Wars. In universe, physical bullet ammunition is referred to as a "slug". It being physical and not energy based, lightsabers will just super heat the bullet.
I'll be really interested to see you cover the sequel and talk about the level builder, one of the most underrated features of a LEGO game. I'd love to see Staff of Kings talked about too, it's the only one of the non-LEGO Indy games I've played.
Man, I regret playing Lego Indiana Jones 2 on the PSP. It's a direct port from DS and always play the same compressed theme song for the entire playthrough.
Yes, I would like to see you do all those other Indiana Jones games you mentioned, as well as other LEGO games like the Batman trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, the Marvel games, The LEGO Movie Videogame, and Jurassic World! And I'd like to see LEGO Indiana Jones get the Skywalker Saga treatment someday with a new game covering all five movies!
If I remember correctly, at least in the German DS Version of the game, the Soldier is actually called German soldier. Maybe Feindlicher Soldat was a translation that would not have worked well.
With that being said, I have fond memories of Lego Indy. I played the console version for a limited time back in 2010 where I remember my co-op buddy constantly killing me in the spiked trap portion, but I had so much fun with the DS version. The mic gimmick was interactive, the extras were fun, and there were cute Easter eggs. I hated the Shanghai car level, though. It's the one thing that prevented me from 100% the game. Overall, it's another example of a Lego game that doesn't try to be a carbon copy of the console version but stands on its own.
Surprisingly good Harrison Ford impression lol, great video as always! You only forgot to mention the DS version minigames, like eating a monkey's brain.
I love this game, and I was not expecting you to make a comparison video on it. My copy was also a special two-pack case with Kung Fu Panda bundled in with it.
Watching this video had me thinking about how Dial of Destiny would work as an old school LEGO game consisting of 6 levels. Level 1 - WWII prologue Level 2 - Pursuit through Hunter College, New York parade and subway Level 3 - Black market auction fight and Tuk Tuk chase Level 4 - Underwater diving and fight bad guys on the boat Level 5 - Exploring the Ear of Dionysius caves and finding Archimedes's Dial Level 6 - Final boss fight in ancient Syracuse
This cold snap we had has been extremely cold to say the least. It got so cold that some above ground sewer lines at some camps I work at froze and broke. So needless to say me and my friend drove thousands of kilometres and got to work. I felt like Indiana Jones’s when I had to use my saw all to cut frozen pipes that were actually full of pressurized sewer water. It sprayed everywhere and got me in the face and In my ear and was a hell of the time. But camp food was the best part of it, I ate too much cheese cake and chicken parm that unexpectedly I while I was under the kitchen fixing the broken water supply line I crapped my pants. After that I was able to slide under around instead of crawl under the trailers. I love you flandrew
I’ve been replaying this again recently and honestly. It makes the euphoria so strong it makes me sad how different things are now 😭 It was the dream game to play an adventure narrative and do cool puzzles in the day. Just have to say it. The Skywalker Saga is cool don’t get me wrong. But I’d rather play these games every day of the week. God I bloody love em.
You should have done an individual video for each movie in LEGO Indiana Jones like you did with Star Wars and Harry Potter. That way, you could compare The Original Adventures with LEGO Indiana Jones 2.
I had the DS version and I loved it. I must have been around 4 or 5. I remember briefly playing the PS3 version at a doctor's office (when I had to get ear tubes) and I remember being so impressed by how much better it was. I didn't even know it was a PS3 I thought it was a PS2 since the controller was so similar to the PS2, and that's what we had at home.
I had this as birthday gift was my first ps2 game but i didnt knew i couldnt touch the ps2 while the console was working so my disk got all scratched...
I'd like to see the non-Lego Indiana Jones games covered. I want to own the 4 different versions of Staff. So far I've got the Wii version but should soon nab a DS copy :)
Anyone else remember the Lego Indiana Jones flash game on the Lego website? I used to play that a ton along with Crystal Alien Conflict back before I got the PS2 Lego Indy game. I never did beat the flash version, it was pretty difficult iirc. It was a auto-scrolling game where Indy runs away from stuff, and you have to click on hazards to dodge them. the game moved pretty fast, and the hazards were all quite small, so it's no wonder I could never beat it lol. You can still play it on BlueMaxima's Flashpoint, btw. Also, anyone remember the little official short film called "Raiders of the lost Brick"? I used to try watching it on the school computers during lunch breaks, but the internet was so slow that it would only get like half way through before the end of the break lol.
I'd love to see you cover the other Indiana Jones games! Also, I remember playing the 360 version at one point, and finding out that you can make the animals you ride poop by pressing one of the letter buttons. Surprised you didn't mention that.
Have you thought about talking about the difference from Lego Star wars 1 and 2 with the complete saga? There's different levels and quirks and additions plus the different hub worlds
never played the staff of kings but would love to see you cover either the infernal machine or emporer's tomb, both if possible, infernal machine, though not so great in retrospect, i loved back in the day, and emporer's tomb was just a solid indiana jones game
this was one of my favorite lego games, I recently played the psp version on my ppsspp emulator and had the time of my life, please make the lego indy 2 review, that was also my childhood which I can't play due to my real PS3 yellow lighting and being thrown away, luckily... I got the psp version which looks like the ds version
I was so amazed finding the easter egg star wars characters scattered around back then. I still remember R2D2 in the desert in the last crusade, and I think it was C3PO down a cliff in the temple of doom
I'd love to see coverage of the other games. I played staff of kings on the wii and it's a prime example of waggle controls hamstringing what could've been a perfectly servicable romp.
I’m interested in the history of Indiana Jones games. I’ve heard conflicting information about how many and when they were released, plus I’m also lazy. Thank you.
Played through this last year, on Series X through backwards compatibility. Had a really good time, and felt a bit bad I never tried these games sooner. Also played through Lego Star Wars the complete saga after this.
You forgot there's a moment in lego star wars 3, in the level you play as the bounty hunters invading the temple, there's a part where you play lego indiana jones for a mini kit
In the sequel on DS, Mola Ram is pretty OP. I'm not sure if I had cheats on or not when playing it, because he hits like a dump truck, KOing any enemy.
Yes, I'd love for you to cover the other game. It's weird how this is the first time I see footage of this game. I'd have gone completely blind into it whenever I play it otherwise
