I remember talking to a customer about this game when I was working at Best Buy. he told me how bane was the scariest boss fight. didn't believe him. played it for myself, believed him.
@@dj24617 well he's not apparently since Batman becomes way stronger and physically capable in the other Arkham games. In Arkham Origins he can't even punch through wooden walls. In City, though, he can glide kick through them without any problem.
I was 14 and when I first did this I was alone after I got home my high school (about to graduate 2021) but my first impressions from his 2nd phase left me terrified to let him see me especially cause he did too much damage on hard. .
Man, the way that the TN-1 transforms Bane looks so...real. Like, you can hear his muscles and bones snapping and popping, reforming into larger ones. And that roar...ugh...
ikr? I also never realized as a kid the TN-1 caused bane to basically lose his intelligence. Which makes sense cause in the other installments he was kinda dumb speaking wise.
Bro I have so many of these stories. Atrocity from Spider-Man Edge of time terrified me, The Mr. Freeze fight in Arkham City scared me for absolutely no reason at all, the Killer Croc Lair boss fight in Arkham Asylum, and this one didn't scare me, but the Cloudburst fight in Arkham Knight made me quit and delete the game. I just replayed and beat the game like two months ago. I got more but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head
@@Legonathan100 It's not on PS5 or PS4. This guy is streaming the game from the PS Now service. Many don't want to pay for an annual live service and just want to play and own the game.
I love how genuinely happy Joker is at the end. He's finally found someone who will fulfil his insane happiness his whole life and it's only just begun between them.
I am pretty sure Batman DOES have broken ribs and the rest of the bones damaged. But he ain't just giving up and still moving forward. In game it can't be really done that you are becoming weaker and weaker, but in a movie that would work well.
My fav Arkham game in the series. Rough, focused, with young, aggressive and still learning Batman, with fantastic Joker monologue (which Harley took as flirting), with polished mechanics and more realistic city. Ps. And best Boss fights in all of the series, especially DeathStroke imho
ppl really need to turn off counter icons for the deathstroke boss fight to enjoy it at its full potential and you don't have to wait for NG+ for the counter icons to be removed unlike rocksteady
I never understood why it was called a "bad game" , some people say the game is "not bad" but, I won't deny it, the game is good. And at least in my opinion, it's great. It holds up very well. It is not the best arkham game of course, but once again, in my opinion it's better than asylum (Which is to be expected from a sequel that came many years after)
I have to say, I have always loved the character models in this game more than in the rest of the series. Specifically for Gordon, Alfred, Bane, Firefly and, even Batman. I know it's not a popular opinion, but as batsuit go, this one is generally disliked, but I genuinely love it. Especially in context; at this point in Batman's career. This game has always looked great to me. And, it's by far the most cinematic. The staging, the camera angles, the lighting, the atmosphere, the fantastic action set pieces (namely the boss fights with Deathstroke, Firefly and TN-1 Bane), everything just makes this game look and feel as though you're watching a very well-directed Batman movie, which just so happens to be very fun as well. This game deserves way better than what people give it credit for.
Will never understand the hate this game got. Batman design is normal at best (though he’s got some serious thunder thighs), his Batsuit isn’t shockingly different from any other, and I loved how his attitude was angry and almost irrational because it’s a year two story. Tbh it’s my fav Arkham game, but I might be biased bc i like early Batman stories better than ones later in his career.
@@raquele6470 the game got hate Bc it sucks ass. Terrible attempt at a remake of Arkham city. Too many bugs and glitches. I literally tried to play it last week and I kept falling through the ground, npcs floating, boss battles suck, lots of crashes and repetitive fist fighting. The game was terrible, they should have never made this game and just made a sequel to Arkham city like Arkham knight had to do.
@@wyatta7x544 too similar to Arkham city, I don’t find that to be a problem but that’s valid, lots of bugs is too accurate especially for dark knight challenges, but terrible boss fights????? That’s just cap
Joker was Batmans arch nemesis. But unlike Bane, Joker was unpredictable. Bane and Batman both are cold and calculating. And I always love when a game or series portrays that Bane is actually just as intelligent as Batman is. He's the man who first broke the Bat after all.
They were probably all shouting and didn’t hear bane plus when he said it they probably thought they were trippin cause they were in the prison full of corrupt cops
You can LITERALLY slide into the side vents and use those as a stealthy place too, he doesn't take his time with it he just slides on in to escape and attack bane
And the Justice League wonders why Batman ain't scared of them or any other super charged, super powerful bad guy. He fought villains as dangers as they come.
Okay, cute, but DC's A- and even B-lister villains, from Cheetah to Black Adam to Doomsday forcryingoutloud, could smack this budget Hulk around like a handball. Bane's a smart well-trained human male on some over-the-top steroids. The JL fight literal gods on a regular basis.
Dont forget bane also break his back and that punches plus all the attack bane did can really kill a normal human he most have some sort of healing factor
At the end when bats knocked out joker, jokers rig is absolutely amazing in my opinion the animators and charcter designers have basically unlimited potential within the animating industry ❤️
15:58 It was honestly REALLY scary for me to hear him say that. The Joker, who thinks EVERYTHING is funny, was was saying this wasn’t. The voice helped too. I think this is one of the best Video game jokers 😁
I was more terrified of this boss fight than any monster I ever encountered in the entire SILENT HILL franchise. I genuinely felt like a pissed-off rhinoceros was charging after me. It actually managed to pass the point where the game stopped being FUN.
I use to be really scared to fight bane I was like 7 at time when I fought bane as a big scary monster I was just scared and my heart was beeping like crazy
The Arkham games got me thinking... All of this happened in one night, and you could say that from Origins to Knight Batman spent at least a decade dealing with these guys. Just imagine the things they've done outside of game events. Batman went through things like that every night for a decade.
Fun Fact: Here in Brazil, some versions of Bane were voiced by the same voice actor as Superman, the legendary Guilherme Briggs, who also voices Buzz Lightyear and Mickey Mouse! The only times he voiced Bane were in the film Dark Knight Rises and Batman: Arkham Origins. So, imagine what it was like for us Brazilians to hear this voice that is known for coming out of the mouths of kind and fun characters, coming out of the mouth of Monster Bane. Another curious fact is that Tim Drake's voice actor in Batman: Arkham Knight is Manolo Rey, the same voice actor for Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, who also is the same voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog and Robin from the Teen Titans cartoon.
Bro got yeeted against a concrete wall, punched by Bane twice, then got punched through the concrete wall, and still managed to get back up and finish Bane off before going and whooping Joker's ass. I forgot just how built differently Arkham Batman is.
This is one of my favorite missions to Batman Arkham Origins, though that TN-1 Bane was scary big but I overcame him using those shock gates to my advantage.
@@coryames1170 Oh no I played Arkham Knight first (I know it was kind of dumb of me, I should’ve started with asylum), it’s just that Origins was the last one I completed because I had to get a hold of an Xbox 360 disk. So for me, this game was my sendoff for the Arkham series.
@@coryames1170 Not sure, just about every game has something to love. Asylum: Eerie atmosphere and the beauty of simplicity. City: Amazing characters, plus great boss fights, and a neat perfect story. Origins: A younger angrier Batman, arguably the best boss fights in the series, amazing character development, and Bane. Knight: I actually really liked the story with the Arkham Knight and how it was Jason Todd, Scarecrow was just amazing, my favorite side missions, the best gameplay by far, and I’m one of the few who actually liked the Batmobile. Really, none of the games in the franchise are bad in any shape or form. Some parts may appeal to different people more than others, but the way I see it, you can play any one of these games and watch the credits roll being completely satisfied. I’m gonna give you my ranking, but to be fair it’s probably going to be outdated by next week. 4. Alsume: definitely the weakest compared to the other games, but it’s still a pretty good game. There’s just some stiff competition. 3. Origins: I was gonna put Arkham City here, but Origins deserves the third spot. It’s a great game but misses the mark with some areas. Such as the filthy misuse of Black Mask. Overall, there isn’t really much that’s bad to say about this game. 2. City: Anything that needs to be said about this game has already been said. Great story, great gameplay, great open world, missions and great characters. The one thing about this game I wasn’t too big of a fan though were the side missions. 1. Knight: This could just be nostalgia talking because it was my introduction to the Arkham series, but this game is just too good. Everything handles like a dream. I love the story from beginning to end. I actually enjoy using the Batmobile. The characters are amazing. And the graphics in Arkham Knight are a thousand times better than any game made now, and this includes games on the Xbox Series X/PlayStation 5. This game also has my favorite side missions, even the weak ones have some thing to enjoy. Whether it’s the horrifying, yet heartbreaking tale of Kirk Langstrom, the amazing investigation and boss fight against Professor Pyg and his army of Dollotrons, the challenging, yet enjoyable trials of Azrael, the hunt for Penguin and his weapon caches, or the genius stealth sections, in the various banks of Gotham, with all of the different ways to take down the enemy. I just love this game too much. And then there’s the elephant in the room, Joker. First, let’s get one thing straight, Joker did not steal the spotlight as the main villain from Scarecrow. Joker is the B plot, the story still centers around Scarecrow threatening Gotham with a chemical weapon, Joker is more of an obstacle if anything, Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight are the force driving the story. Not the Jonkler. But even though he’s just a hallucination, Joker has some of the best moments in this game, he’s just so damn funny. It works for the story because he’s mocking Batman and trying to break him, and works for the audience because you can feel the eeriness of what is essentially Joker’s ghost making fun of you, or you can have a good laugh at his commentary. If I were to talk about everything that makes Jonkler so good in this game, this reply would be thousands of words along. And then there’s one last thing, hearing Mark Hamil as Joker *SINGING.* What else could be better? So that’s my ranking, what do you think?
Idk how Batman does this without being atleast a little scared, maybe stressed but not scared- Just imagine being chased by something absolutely humongous and your only hiding spot is vents in the floor-
I heard bad things about this game but from start to finish I enjoyed it although it was very similar to city in game mechanics. Playing this part I was thinking the boss battle of bane was scary I remember thinking to myself "how TF am I gonna take on the hulk as batman" 😂 I really wanted to run away
damn bane like a huge monster now i think he can go toe to toe with hulk that will be a great fight to watch and i think in this form bane will smash monster joker face
I absolutely LOVED this game when it came out. Only thing I disliked was how stupid Gordon was during these events, and to a lesser extent Alfred. Other than that, it was among my favorites.
I didn’t think this games graphics could get any better from the xbox360 version Amazing :) Edit: I forgot how much I loved the shock gauntlets, most fun thing in the game. Edit 2: Letting The TN-1 reach full potency was the scariest shit in that game, grew an eco skeleton and everything, me and my siblings were all huddled on the couch during that fight
