Unfortunately, this might be the last analysis I do for a while since I have several upcoming music endeavors that will require my full attention. But when I get back, I promise I'll do more John Williams and more golden-age film scores. I'll probably have a couple of video essays as well. Thank you everyone for helping make this community; it's truly been a blessing!

Beautiful. Can you analyze a few James Horner film scores? The opening to, "A Beautiful Mind," is incredible. Maybe Apollo 13, Avatar, Titanic, etc.? Thanks for all of the great work!

I honestly think that this film might be one if not the best by both Tim Burton and Danny Elfman. And this particular scene manages to flood my eyes every time I watch it

Excellent work, I've enjoyed all of these thoroughly. I'm an aspiring composer but not classically trained, so these reductions have helped connect some dots for me. Thank you for all the work you've put into your channel!

I love your analysis! Thank you for all your work, it's very well done and there is so much to learn from it! :) I have some non-traditional ideas you could make if you were interested in it. I really like minimalistic music and composers - such as Philip Glass or Max Richter - especially 'November' by Richter. It's very classical and modern at the same time. Another one is Ramin Djawadi - 'A Lannister Always Pays His Debts'. I'm sure you know them all; just wanted to give some ideas for inspiration. Even if you do something else I'll always admire your channel and hope you will continue with this expansion! ;)

Batman and Batman Returns feel like two totally different films both in tone and music. The first Batman was more a gangster thriller action film while the second movie feels more like a film noir. Tim obviously wanted a more darker approach to Batman and often focuses more on the tragic villians and back stories rather than focusing on the hero. Catwomans theme is probably my favourite motif that Elfman created throughout her appearance in the film. ❤❤❤❤

Ever since I saw this movie when it first came out and listened to the soundtrack numerous times over the years, the moment at 8:29 until the end still has to be one of the most beautiful and sad sections of music Danny Elfman has ever composed.

this is much more imaginative and original than those constant Hans Zimmer ostinati.... everyone is scoring music with the same shorts and marcato patches.....This was another time, a time when you actually needed to know how the orchestra instruments work, and you can hear that here!

Thats why I love what Elfmann did with the music for Justice Leage. BUt that many that likes Man of steal, and those movies hates because Zimmers kinda boring music for those movies wasnt in Justice Leage.

I love your videos! Can you maybe do the track "The Brides" from the soundtrack of "Bram Stoker´s "Dracula" (1992) by Wojciech Kilar?

You should do Ice Dance from Edward Scissor Hands, also by Danny Elfman

7:15 Come on, is this a joke? G minor is the subdominant minor from D Major. This cue is in B minor and D major is the relative! So, not borrowed, not non diatonic, this is just B minor's alley! 'Tis not even a modulation. The example I love to give of something like this is the song Treue Liebe from Brahms. Right at the beginning he uses a relative subdominant minor that a lot of people just love to misinterpret as something shockingly strange when it is something that people has being doing since before Haydn. It's just like the so-called Tristan Chord, which is nothing but an augmented sixth with a chromatic appogiatura, but people do like to vomit BS about it nowadays.
