FILM DESCRIPTION:
This superhero adventure finds Batman (George Clooney) and his partner, Robin (Chris O'Donnell), attempting to the foil the sinister schemes of a deranged set of new villains, most notably the melancholy Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who wants to make Gotham into an arctic region, and the sultry Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), a plant-loving femme fatale. As the Dynamic Duo contends with these bad guys, a third hero, Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone), joins the ranks of the city's crime-fighters.

This team was badass I would like to think every Batman fan would be able to see it. Robin having fun skydiving but being a bit reckless in battle, Batman being protective and kind of being right in the end. The villain utilizing Batman's care for others against them. It's all pretty Canon so far. Robin helping Batman whether he wanted him to or not LOL them escaping a death trap, sounds good to me LOL

Yes! This movie was meant to be in the style of being fun and comic cheesy. The great part of the Batman story is that it can keep being retold with different cinematic styles.

I think Freeze has no intention whatsoever of freezing Batman he was just after the diamond. If he really wanted to, he would've have totally frozen Batman inside the ship instead of just freezing his hands.

Hey, with Bats' agility, in 5 seconds he could dart and dodge in any direction and throw a heat-themed device in Fries' direction and it would just complicate Fries' escape plan (maybe even compromise it entirely), of which Fries is like a foot away from the door Yes, I am defending the logic of the Batman & Robin movie

3:15 Man...Mr. Freeze could've just freeze both Batman and Robin together before leaving, instead of saying "I will kill you next time!" He wasted the only golden opportunity.

He wasn't interested in Batman, he was interested in the diamond, to complete his experiment. The Batman there had full chance and defended himself in a fight. Freeze preferred to run away with diamond, while he saw that Batman would not go after him, as he had bigger problems, such as saving Robin from freezing to death.

At that point, Freeze wasn't really deadset on freezing/killing Batman as he was just after the diamond. Otherwise, he would've immediately frozen Batsy when they were in the ship, but instead he just froze his hands.

The people who did not like this movie were wrong. It is a good movie, different from all the others, but good. It has a wow factor that exceeds all the others, the spectacle is amazing, the humor poignant, etc. Yes, there are imperfections, but you know what? Anything made by man has imperfections. It makes it real.

Freeze getting out of the rocket is to me, one of the movie’s most striking moments, remember seeing glimpses of this scene in the Smashing Pumpkins music video and I was like “that must look great on a big screen”.

Batman and Robin surfing in the sky was the coolest scene in this movie in my opinion. I know this movie gets alot of hate, but if they left out Poison Ivy and Bane, it would've been much better cause 3 villians in one movie are too much. I'm glad Bane's character was later rebooted in TDKR, even though that Bane's lines and voice was quite boring.

Before Arnold Schwarzenegger was cast, they suggested that Christopher Lloyd play Mr. Freeze because of Lloyd's appearances as Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Switchblade Sam in Dennis The Menace, but they felt that Lloyd couldn't fit into the costume.

Regardless how silly this film was as a child I loved the action etc but watching it as an adult I appreciate there are issues to say the least. I don't think George or Chris were the issue the script and WB's influence were. Joel was qwerky but there were some good scenes. I like this scene in the sense Batman does the right thing, he knows he can get freeze later its more important to get Robin safe, Batman protects his own. Robin is his son/brother and Alfred is his surrogate father. Family comes first. Batman is there to protect. But overall film wasn't that bad! As a ten year old watching it in 1997 it was a 9 as an adult I give 6. Wasn't a fan of Barbara being from UK but having american accent could have done with some continuity but when she suits up that s BADASS!
