Batman and Robin was a color extravaganza! The blue, reds, pinks, greens, and other colors, both muted and vibrant, make this a wonderland to the eye. For that ALONE, this movie gets a 10/10.
I love how he tilted is head accepting her kiss with her placing her fingers on him symbolising that he is now completely seducted and under her control
He didn’t know her lips were poison yet. He was just testing Ivy to see if she really did love him like she said, which she failed when she showed her true colors. Either way, he got to steal a kiss from her.
@@supersonicheroes he could easily have died if the rubber lips was not perfectly immune so in my opinion he really couldn't resist a kiss from her lips
This pretty much put the nail in the coffin of Alicia Silverstone’s career as an A-lister. There were unfortunate (unfair rumors) that she had weight issues during the shoot; but the sheer failure of the entire film damaged her career and Chris O’Donnell (Robin) the most. She was on top of the world after Clueless only a few years earlier-I’m sure getting to play Batgirl seemed like a huge opportunity... who would’ve guessed it would be this bad?
Vertical Limit was a damn good movie and he's had a recurring role on NCIS Los Angeles for 12 years. Could be a lot worse for Chris. Silverstone looks INCREDIBLE at her age these days. Blast From The Past was a hit but you're right about the A list angle :/
Clooney had enough reputation and a few good decisions after this that saved his career and he remained A-list. The other two were kind of hanging around but far from A-list.
Poison ivy should have stayed with robin you can clearly tell she loves him and he loves her look how passionate the kiss was they clearly love each other and would have been the perfect couple
Anyone else notice that the scene with Robin's head coming out of the water at 2:36 is played for 2 seconds then reversed to make it go back in? and then played again at 3:34
I remember watching this "Kissing the Batman" scene when I was something like 7 or 8, 6 maybe.... at my uncle's place. My brother and uncles were watching this movie at night and the lights were off. We have two houses there and they were in the other house. I didn't know anything about the movie but this particular scene where the Batman takes that rubber layer off his lips somehow stuck with me after all these 15 years... Wow! I still haven't watched this film and I was wondering which scene it was that I saw that night. Googled it and landed here. Somehow those memories make me immensely emotional. A lot has changed now. Absolutely love that Alicia Silverstone (or her stunt double) clearly know HOW to do the gymnastics she's trying to pull off in this scene, but just can't move in that suit.

The movie is bad but even if you don’t view it as a “so bad it’s funny” movie like “The Room” Uma Thurman, the music, and Alfred scenes make it more watchable than something like Ghost Rider or Fantastic Four (2015), which don’t entertain on any level whatsoever.
@FRANCO PEREZ yes I wish they would come out with a solo movie already or put him in one of the new batman movies honestly getting tired of batman/joker reboots some fresh characters would be a nice change of pace to watch and drool over 😜

He literally told Robin to put rubber lips only on the upper lip and go kiss ivy, the more clever why is to trick ivy to say the plan and then leave and not take the resk of kissing her, and then after only one kiss that she surprisingly didn't use her tongue during it, he removed his rubber lips and sat still completely vulnerable 😅😅😅😅😅
When she pulled back her lips stuck with his for a second, he is so lucky to get to be kissed by uma thurmans lips while she wore that beautiful lipstick
