Goldenthal's Batman music is so underrated. Sure, the Schumacher movies were left wanting, but the music is great. IMO, after Nolan the only way the franchise can move towards is a live-action version of the 90's cartoon series and Elliot's score fits that vision perfectly, imo.
Originally I used to think the Batman & Robin score was just a direct rip-off of Batman Forever - and while I understand it uses some of the same themes (for Batman of course), I still didn't like it at first. But when you hear the full thing fleshed out, without the bad taste of the movie in your mouth, it's really quite good. Goldenthal should be applauded for his Bat-contributions.
If there is one defining feature to take away from this film is the soundtrack. Goldenthal really captured the essence of not just Batman but his villains.
i agree witht that, cause i always saw this music as something that would be in the animated series. At least Schumaker got this right when he was trying to make this "like a cartoon" cause that was his intention actually lolol
Hey...this soundtrack was never released, and even though there's a lot of stuff directly ripped from Batman Forever, there was a lot of good original stuff on this soundtrack, too. How did you manage to find these tracks?
