This Batman and Fortnite Comic is wild, but why? Let's find out! Socials Instagram - @idoknownothingofficial TikTok - @idoknownothing Twitter - @idoknownothing1 DC Comics / Batman / Fortnite / Break Point / Comicbook Summary
this is actually terrifying. Being thrust into another universe only to lose your identity, ability to ocmmunicate, fighting mindlessly in a battle royale, recognizing someone you loved but not understaning why.
that's why the game is so poplaur, the only thing keeping it from it's grave is the fact that they just keep putting in charters like batman, john wick, ect.
It is, it's just that more people prefer to just see the name of the game and call it cringe instead of trying to know there are a heck ton of gamemodes and lore that expands every week
@@kOreoMusic I think thats the biggest reason people don't like fortnite, the game has content for a lot of different types of people but it's community is annoying as balls
What the fuck Look I dont hate on the game, i dont play it but it looks pretty cool But the fact they somehow integrated 4 DC characters into it with actual reasons and made it genuinely entertaining and badass makes my brain go gooey like melted chocolate
And there are more. Batman Who Laughs, Flash, Wonder Woman, Bloodsport, and more had joined the party. I think only Batman Who Laughs has a backstory aside from the ones in the comic, though.
@@Protosilver97 there is also aquaman, black manta, the joker, raven, beast boy, green arrow and superman but yeah I believe none of these are in the lore
@@ChibiOnVR Bro I hope that there was an actual Antlantis but epic games confirmed it was just their "Atlantis" so It's not Aquamans but it is an Antlantis.
Fortnite is cannon in The MCU that means that epic games added Thanos to the game and started profiting from half of everything getting bliped that’s pretty interesting
No clue how they managed to get rights for Snake Eyes in this comic or why outside of him also being in Fortnite, but God damn this was something I didn't know I needed.
Fun fact at 3:40 if you look closely in the top left corner if the smoke you can see a silhouette of Samus Aran, because at the time the comic was made she almost got a skin that later got cancelled
It's cool how dark the lore of Fortnite can get when given the freedom to move away from the base, cartoony atmosphere of the game. The writing quality was surprisingly decent and overall it was like Marvel's Battleworld, but more zany.
I find it so uncanny that this is probably the closest thing we'll have to a real DC/ Marvel crossover currently lol. Take note: *Currently* as in modern times, not referring to the numerous crossovers from a couplde decades ago like Batman/Spiderman, Amalgam, etc.
Apparently Multiversus has the possibility of having Marvel characters, according to a leak. The game already has Batman, Harley Quinn, Superman, and Wonder Woman on the announced roster.
@@hornydiscord Yeah, weren't there amalgam comics in which Marvel characters met the DC ones? I think the Avengers even met the Justice league; Supposedly their two multiverses are separated by two entities who hate each other so much that they don't allow the characters of the DC multiverse to come into the Marvel one and vice versa. I'll let you guess as to who exactly these entities might be.
Even if you don't like Fortnite, you have to admit that the story in this comic is really good. I think that the fortnite lore is actually really decent.
Ok I play fortnite but not a fortnite kid but ik there is a comic with The Foundation (The guy Rock voices) he goes into Gotham and fights the Batman who laughs that how much ik about it
I think this is actually the first time I've ever seen Batman hit Harley Quinn. Most of the time, it's either a shove, a counter move because she initiated the first attack or a gadget he hits her with but here, he straight up punches her in the face Also, while it is stupid that Selina even suggested the idea, I think it makes sense for her. She loves Batman but in the DC universe, their relationship is almost always been somewhat strained and complicated at times (DC just loves making these two get together and splitting them apart again whether it's in the form of a drama or a reboot) because of who they are, Batman, a lone cape crusader who is practically married to his mission of justice and Catwoman, an expert thief that likes to be free. Being in Fortnite removed all of their memories and roles so all that's left were two badass people in spandex working together to survive. Now that they returned home, it's back to the old cat and mouse chase where they're always at odds, despite both having the same feelings for each other
The lore is interesting, and truthfully could make for a really good story driven game once they finish the main story. It’s also very interesting for a DND DM, helping with ideas that is.
It was seriously one of the greatest comic endings tho, remembering all that had happened and then Selena getting pissed and leaving broke my heart. Like. Look at batman's face
I'd like to see something like this from the Arkham series. Batman constantly dying from a bad player and Batman using his detective skills to find out he's in a game.
My fanmade story for this fun comic: The story continues 3 days after the incident. (And a couple of months after his disappearance.) Batman was still struck after the event. All the relationship he built with catwoman, gone. He also notices that Joker hasn't been making any noise. Each night, he patrols Arkham through and through, even looking into Joker's base and still, he was nowhere. It was odd, he could smell the scent of sus in the air but, he couldn't determine its reason. Having nothing to do, he went around beating the living shit out of normal bad guys before going back to his batcave. There, he researched on the rift that he got sucked into. Images and videos about the rift were all around the internet but, not a single information of why exactly is it in Arkham. However, he noticed a strange pattern of dates about the videos and images posted online and discovered that it has been getting more and more frequent. So, he did what he had to do. And that was to find another rift and study it, before something bad happens. He quickly put out a map and marked location where the rifts spawned. He then assumed multiple places where he think the next rifts might appear. Just thinking about the rift made Batman think about Catwoman and the time they spent together. He had slightly regretted his choice but, he had to do it for the sake of the City. Once night time arrived, he immediately went to work. Going across Arkham and placing cameras in the marked location so that he could monitor those places. After this, he waited. Days passed yet, nothing had happened. 3 months had passed, he could've sworn that they were getting more and more frequent however, there hasn't been any rift. Not a new video, image, or even text about the rift was made since 3 months ago. He was confused but, felt this odd sensation that something was wrong. After traumatizing more normal bad guys, he went back to the batcave and prepared equipments, just incase something happened. He packed them and put them in the Batmobile before driving off the city in search for the cause of this sensation. After a few weeks of travelling, he finally saw it. A rift had spawned in the middle of the forest. A literal crater had been left in its wake, everything around seemed to have disintegrated, leaving the ground polished as a mirror. But, since this is Batman, he came prepared. He set up shop nearby and brought equipment near the Rift. The energy reader showed the same results as the previous one. Reading an unfamiliar and otherworldly energy. He assumed every rift might be connected to the same universe. He further studied the rift and after sometime, discovered 1s and 0s within the universe. "It's like a videogame." He thought. Which now made sense, he couldn't die, he could save through check points, and he would lose all of his memories after the checkpoint. Always spawning on the very same place that he first arrived at. With this, it wouldn't take long for Batman to be able to make a device that allowed him to peak into the rift without being sucked into it like before. He connected the tool to his computer and like a Game Master, monitored the place which he was trapped in. He saw Harley still fighting with a huge smile on his face, the Fishguy who gave him his "Save" device. Cobra was still trapped and new ones that he didn't knew of. However, it wouldn't take long after this that the rift started to collapse, further expanding the crater it had first left. With the information he had gained, Batman was ready to go back to Arkham City. He packed his things before setting off. A few days into the ride, a shockwave hit him. Sending the batmobile flying off the mountains. Batman being the overthinker that he is, had already come prepared just in case. He left the car unscathed and wondered what that shock wave was. As he climbed back up to the road, another wave of energy flew by, this time, from the city's direction. The device beeped with familiarity ugring Batman to haste. He fixed his batmobile and rushed to to Arkham. With each mile he passed, the wave grew stronger which, in the end, left Batman unable to fix his ride. With no wheels, he ventured on foot, taking the shortest path to through forest, or so he thought. Days passed and Batman was still going strong. Yet, the odd sensation had grown more noticeable. It felt wrong, as if he was going in the wrong direction. But nevertheless, he treaded the path. He had been to far in to turn back now. Night arrived, he felt worn down, he made a camp and took a short nap only to be awaken by a strong shock wave which sent him flying along with the forest. Regardless, Batman made it out, seemingly unscathed. This was a sign that Batman needed to move quicker, so he did. As he walked, he noticed that he was getting closer to an untouched forest. As he got near, another shockwave passed, clearing the forest which once was in front of him. He then noticed, the direction it came from. The angle of the fallen trees, the landscape and especially a deer that had seemed to be walking backwards. The energy wave was affecting him. Angered, he ran back to the opposite direction and with each passing mile, more and more shock waves would come by. Finally, after 2 weeks of walking in the forest, he finally reached the city. Only to be thrown into disbelief of what it had become. He fell onto his knees, he knew everything was his fault. The city was left in ruins and it was all his doing. He let it happen. And this was when his communicator rang, someone's contacting him. "Albert!" Saying that they needed Bruce back in the city, NOW! But, the message was from a few weeks ago. He then noticed a building fall down after this, a red beam. He stood back up and ran, hoping it was who he thought it was. And yes, it was Superman, battling against the Joker and was having a hard time while doing so. He saw Joker wearing somesort of device as he fought Superman. And from him, released a Wave of energy. He noticed the area around Joker cleared, forming somesort of glitch that you normally would see in a videogame. And that's when he knew it, JOKER GOT TO IT FIRST! "Where IS BATMAN!" Joker said, as he pushes Superman back. Joker then released another wave of energy which sent Supp flying the other side. Superman then stood back up, but he noticed that he was getting weaker. Even so, he fought, hoping Bruce would arrive to fix this mess. Batman, who kept getting knocked backed was having a hard time getting near the two. It seems as if Superman was feeling the effects too, normally he would've noticed Batman by now. Bruce needed to find a way to get closer, but this needed him to go back to the bat cave to use that Suit. After ages of trying and trying, Batman finally got to the batcave. After this, went back to the Battleground with his Demon Batsuit. As he got into the city, he noticed the otherworldy energy outside of the city, they were growing! Bruce needed a way to put a stop to this and Joker might have the key. He arrived at the scene and saw the entire justice league in shambles but, were able to corner Joker and.... Catwoman who had a similar device on her. Batman couldn't get through his team and the RIFTS were getting closer. He needed to warn them of the on coming threat! The rest of the Justice League, as they stood infront of the cornered dou, seemingly unaware of the quickly approaching danger around them, was just about to kill the two when Joker released another Wave of energy knocking the team back. And this was it, they all then noticed a force that was trying to split them apart. The pink light that was shinning on them and the fallen Arkham city, this was the end. With one Final attempt, the League launched one final attack towards the two before they all get consumed by the rift. Just as the attack was about to reach the two of them, just as about the rift was about to consume all of them. Batman came swooping down, saving Catwoman. Batman tightly held her in his arms as he says *"We maybe enemies here but, I believe we can all start over on the other side."* His final words as tears ran down Catwoman's cheeks, as they were all enveloped by the Rift. Batman and Catwoman hugged each other tightly as they shared a kiss, hoping to be sent together in the same place....and start over. Edit And this about wraps it. Hope you guys like this! It's getting very laggy on my phone now with all this typing. So....Bye!
This is actually a pretty good testament to Batman's character too. He wakes up in a world where he has no idea who he is or why he's dressed as a bat, forced to fight until he dies on repeat for God knows how long, and still refuses to let go of his morals. He let himself die rather than killing Selina and saved Snake Eyes from certain death even though he knew he'd respawn. Hell he even refused to use a gun. So no matter what Batman will always have those morals even if he doesn't understand why.
Im late but the zero point wasnt made to hold the foundation, he was just trapped when keeping it from exploding cuz it kills everything or something but it was later broken anyways and nothing happened so dwayne the rock fortnite did that for nothing
What sucks is that fortnite lore is good, especially last season, but it’s overshadowed by its reputation so people just hate the game despite never actually learning the lore. For example, the Seven storyline is actually insane.
As much as I hate to admit, Fortnite as a comic series with the same theme like this is something I could actually find myself reading and enjoy. People not knowing anything, can't talk, and nearly everyone they meet tries to kill them and range from dress in silly outfits to outright not even human. That sounds like a really good mini series of comics
Fun fact : Renegade raider is one of the most infamous tryhard skin ever in Fortnite and in this comic it is revealed that renegade raider it is the first person to get out of the loop which is a nice easter egg from epic games :D
So if this is meant to say that it's canon that a portal comes into different worlds...so we're meant to believe that a portal came into the Star Wars world, and Darth was just like "...Ight"
Says second issue is boring, proceeds to give a summary of what sounds like a great story where bay man learns the logic of the world while also losing cat woman at the end
Also the reason why Catwoman ran away at the end it's because In the comics Batman and Catwoman were going to get married but because comic plot their marriage fell apart which is why was upset when she got her memory back
Love the fact that the Fortnite island itself is some sort of eldritch inter dimensional thing that steals characters from their home dimensions and makes them fight each other, actually what most people think Fortnite is doing with these licensed characters.
I really like Fortnite and how it's lore works, I really wish people would look past the little kids and actually check out the game Great video, really funny and I like how you made jokes about Fortnite without just shitting on it
Hahaha really loved your style of explaining those comics as a fan of both Fortnite and Batman I never knew the story, but thank you for explaining this. Now I will be waiting for your review of the Fortnite x Marvel comic too 😍. Love from Pakistan 😍
Crazy how Donald mustard *helped make this comic . Like fr someone who's the creative director of fortnite worked on this Batman comic Craaaaazy yup. Nah but in all seriousness this comic was pretty cool.
@@DPAnime1415 It was rough for a long while, sure there is Arena for the hyper tryhards but playing solos will give you the occasional sweat. Best way to play is getting your homies together and playing duos, trios, and squads. That way you can all suffer together because misery loves company.
Yea apparently the fortnite lore is that we're all stuck in this Dimension on this Island where the storm kills everyone and respawns them over and over again and that Jonesy is a copy of a guy who looks like him who works for the bad guys.
in this comic appears Deadpool's legs and his fullbody silhouette in some panels' background, making it the most recent DC x MARVEL crossover, i think?
There's also a deadpool cameo in issue 2 I think there's a panel where batman and cat woman hide in a Bunker and through the airhole/window, we can see a feet that matches the one deadpool skin wore in game
