Batman's Platinum Is Pure TORTURE! 

The thing i love about this guy is he always gets the hard platinums and he doesn’t just get the easy one’s

quick tip for future reference: using the batmobiles little turret can be just as useful against the tanks as your big turret. if you can hit the glowing purple spots on the tanks, it's a one shot, so making use of both of your turrets can make most challenges and encounters way easier

Another tip for those trying to get platinum: Try to find easier ways to complete a challenge (the developers often hide these in plain sight). For example when you are fighting the cobra tanks, once you get your energy to level 2 you can fire the missiles at the tank and as long as you are behind it then the missile automatically destroys it without having to wait. Also, learn ur different combo moves to the best of your ability. There are a bunch of different gadget combo moves you can use without losing the streak. And lastly predator encounters can be the most frustrating of all but take your time and study their paths and how they react (the enemies always start in the same position and will continue to move the same until they are alerted).

I'm also proud to say that i completed all of the Batman Arkham games Trophies. But the most hard to get is really this one because of all the grinding and so many retries (includes all the extras and dlc trophies). And after getting all the trophies, i can say that i still comeback to play this game like 3-4x and finishing and reminiscing the story all over again. Many people might disagree with me but this is one of the greatest and coolest arkham game that ever made.

Batman Arkham Knight is my favorite game of all time, glad you did this one. Asylum is by far the easiest in the series if you wanna go for that one next, its also the beginning of it all so it makes more sense regardless if I had to rank them by Platinum difficulty it would be: Asylum Knight City Origins (has online trophies, and its kinda dead now so its pretty much impossible)

As someone who platinumed the game, I can agree that the process was absolute torture. I still get nightmares about the “Requiem for a Killer” trophy💀😭

A little tip for people trying to get the ar stars achievements for the characters and batmobiles, for characters, pick the easiest maps and you should be good. Don't do the predator maps unless you have to (the 69 ar stars). For the batmobiles, do the 1 lap races along with the wayntech loop and the riddler ar maps from the side mission. Hope this helps.

honestly first time I tried the bat mobile's controls and realized how much I struggled with ar challenges I instantly said this platinum is not happening I envy your determination congrats on it you've earned it

Damn. Mad respect for going through all of that. Personally, I gave up even on the 100% completion when I saw the amount of riddler challenges. I was like “Nope. Do whatever you want riddler. I cant be efin bothered.”

One of the platinum trophies I'm most proud of that I got, I got it when the game first came out in 2015 I believe and the two hardest parts were the freeflow master 3.0 trophy and the trophies involving the riddler tracks. You'd think that either 100%ing the game would be the hardest part or beating it on hard mode but no those are fun cakewalks compared to some of the trophies in the game. Very proud of this one :)

Tip for the people trying the combat challenges. Utilise the roll mechanic. You can roll on top of peoples heads endlessly without losing your combo, its only if you roll more than once without any enemy there that you lose the combo. The roll also makes you invincible temporarily. Also utilise the takedowns, they one shot the people with shields so theres no need for complicated shit

I give you props for accomplishing all of this. Once I got my 120% in story mode, I was done with this game. I have a love/hate relationship with this game and I didn't want to make it worse.

I’ve been playing this game since it came out and I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve beaten it. I’ve completed all save slots with 240% and 3 starred every challenge and rank top 200 on Iceberg Lounge combat challenge. It’s fun to watch others try and get the platinum on this game. The biggest issue I see with everyone trying to get this platinum are the trophies gained by combat mastery. The biggest mistake I see is no one utilizes Batman’s moves. Use the disarm move to destroy shields, electric sticks, firearms, etc. Instead of trying a takedown on militia brutes which requires you to do it twice use his batclaw move instead when you reach gold freeflow, its a one hit takedown. Try and learn the blade dodge takedown it’s probably his hardest move to learn because you have to follow a pattern when the attacker swings but after a while it’ll just become muscle memory to you. When you’re facing massive hordes of enemies like the ones on Iceberg Lounge these moves are essential to make sure there’s no one that has a means where you can’t hit them because they’re electrified or have a shield or stun batons, etc. Like in this video I’ve seen this man get overrun repeatedly because he does the classic counter hit counter hit on every enemy when eventually all these enemies have weapons and tools to where he couldn’t do that anymore. Edit: A real quick tip if you are trying to get the requiem for a killer trophy is do NOT do takedowns until you get to the killer croc phase, if you do brutes will start spawning and make it much harder to keep your combo.

If you think this is painful then city is even harder lol it has 400 riddler trophies and some ridiculously hard challenge maps where you need to get all the tokens on all characters and even as a veteran Arkham player I can safely say I think some of them are straight up insane especially the cat woman ones

I got this platinum this year and I found it pretty fun and easy except the AR challenges but I’m glad you could also experience it

The amount of second hand anxiety I felt as someone who has 240%ed Arkham Knight, but stopped at completing it at the AR Challenges, was off the charts

I generally don't subscribe to new RU-vid channels, I just watch them and then continue with my day. Discovering this guy was completely different, his content is so fun to watch and it's really entertaining, I subbed immediately and also gained confidence to plat some games. I think that it really depends how comfortable you are with combat in these games cause I didn't really have any issues with the AR combat challenges. If you use more advanced tactics then it gets a lot easier

You should really use more of the super combo gadgets and disarm and destroy would've made it easier. The super combo grapple and battering are really good

I found doing the car races was an easier way to get the AR challenge stars, using the old batmobiles etc.

As somebody who got platinum for this game but on Xbox, I can definitely say The Curtain Falls and Reqium For A Killer are the hardest achievements in the game. It's unbearabley difficult. Props to you for being able to get this done, man!

If you think about it, the way 100% required all the riddler trophies was comparable to Crash 4 requiring perfect and platinum relics was 100%. I found the riddler trophies tedious.

I found the Catwoman DLC was the hardest part of this. That lift fight against Riddlers robots, plus the electric just felt so lazy by the developers and relied a lot on chance. Took me about 12 tries before I got past that.

I actually got this platinum almost naturally. Couldn’t figure out how to get to a few riddler trophies so I checked a guide for those but overall the platinum was easy enough. I ended up buying the Season Pass for the star tasks because that part was hell

I actually did brutality 101 randomly in the stagg zeppelin fight in the story, got super lucky, the main road block for me was the monarch theater with the bat family, especially nightwing because he is treated like Batman in the fact that they have the same enemies to take down however nightwing has way less usefull combos, for example no disarm and destroy… not to mention the requiem for a killer trophy was really grindy

I lost so many combos to the shield guys that at later attempts, i was just spamming the Disarm and Destroy move ( square + triangle ) to destroy all weapons in the arena before i would even start to worry about the combo.

I have a piece of advice for anyone attempting the races with the bat-mobile, and that piece of advice is to GO FIRST PERSON!!! All the twists and turns of the track and inversions can cause some confusion when you are trying to control the bat-mobile in third person, entering first person makes it so when the car goes upside-down the camera also inverts, as opposed to third person where the car inverts but your view does not.

Note: If you have the DLCs you can just do all the races or vehicle combat challenges for 69 AR stars. I never did even one combat challenge. It's easier than it sounds. Brutality 101 is by far the hardest. And the riddler trophies are the most annoying and tedious ones

Diamondbacks are very tough. Timing your special weapons doesn't just involve waiting for the meter to fill to get the most out of them. They make good hacking targets since they can soak up multiple hits and distract other drones for longer. Other special weapon uses for enemy types include destroying offscreen missiles with EMPs since the speed at which you can turn around in battle mode is limited on controller, and shooting down Dragons with missiles to minimize the amount of time you have to look up and compromise your ability to see shot line indicators. I haven't figured out how to fight Cobras yet, but I'll dedicate some time to labbing them soon, cause they were one of the most frustrating parts of my most recent playthrough If Arkham Knight *really* fucks up and your trophy list doesn't match your in-game progression, the first thing you should try is loading an in-game backup save. This can be done by holding L1 at the save select screen. The game holds two of your most recent saves before the current one, so the longer you wait to do this, the more likely it is you'll be unable to restore your game to a salvageable state The different vehicles are not skins. They have different handling/physics values and collision boxes. To learn each Batmobile, drive *only* one at a time through the full set of challenges so you can really spend some time with it and its handling quirks and don't touch any other vehicle until you're done. Save the 60smobile for last, that one's exceptionally slippery and best to learn once you're an experienced racer Hold R2 while attacking to target grounded enemies with the same range you normally can with standing enemies. If there are no grounded enemies you'll default to a standing attack with the same range restriction that normally applies to ground attacks, so you have to either use the two interchangeably or close the distance with rope gadgets to keep your combo going As Batman, Azrael, Nightwing, or the updated version of Batgirl used in challenge maps, you can take down a brute at maximum HP with a single special combo Batclaw slam. It takes two regular takedowns otherwise. The targeting will do its best to prioritize them, but this move is *very* camera-relative, so it helps to get a counter or beatdown takedown first so you have time to line it up Wait for the knockout smash prompt to appear and press it only once to avoid getting pulled into a fear chain. You can escape an accidental fear chain by mashing out a quickfire until the slow mo ends. Freeze is useful if you need environmental takedowns, claw slam is useful if you need knockout smashes (stand behind and wait for him to get up) or ground pounds, and batarangs are useful if there are multiple targets. The L2+R1 quickfire when you have smoke pellets selected has weird timing and is liable to cause a grapple if you try to mash it out, making it a poor choice for this situation. The voice synthesizer can also separate enemies into isolated areas for loud moves When you're in one of those slow motion attacks as someone takes a swing at you, mash out the defense to ensure you get the cancel on the first available frame. Knife dodge is impossible to queue, so you either have to time it precisely or use a jump and risk fucking up your camera Good job figuring out the batarang gun interrupt. Most people try to jump dodge over like a madman and hit him before he shoots

If I’m being totally honest the only 2 trophies that had me fully Inraged were “The chill in the air” & “The curtain falls” some others were also infuriating but weren’t that difficult compared to these 2. The “Brutality 101” actually has a secret method I used that made it a walk in the park. You can use your gadgets and lose you combo then use at least 5-7 other moves that make it easy. And the bat mobile DLC races don’t need to be done on their designated maps as long as you achieve the required number of stars so just 1 star is enough on a challenge until you get the required number.

You can use the grappling hook takedown when you have combo meter full by using L2 + Triangle (hold) and it will take down the big guys, doesn't matter what they have in their hands.

The ravens for those who don't know will produce a sound similiar to moving crystal when they are flying or shout with a glass voice when still. I reccomend to don't attack with the axe in some moments/places because it produces a similiar sound that could confuse you.

Bro I just realized that this was my first platinum trophy and I achieved it at the age of 10, I’m really proud of it, also because it’s my favourite Batman game of all time

Here’s a tip that might help fix a corrupt file on Batman Arkham Knight. This might not work but it has been working for me every time I get the error on PlayStation. If you are not at the time doing a mission, race your way to GCPD lockup without using the Batmobile. Once you get there, that’s when you can use your car to enter GCPD. Then walk through the doors which should save the gameplay rewriting the corrupt save.

Mad props. This is super impressive. I'm missing only 5 achievements on this game and I remember spending hours trying to get The Curtain Falls and Requiem for a Killer.

I gave up on the free flow challenges. If you attempt these challenges you recognize that the combat system in AK is not so perfect as you might think. It is not precise enough and often enough the freeflow combo is interrupted, because your character just attacks a wrong NPCs.

to make the theater challenge about not breaking combo easier for batman remember that when you're playing this, the shorter you play - the better (when you want to get points - it may make sense to prolong the fight, bbut this i not the case). I would get the combo meter to I could make cobination, through batarangs and then do Special Multi Ground Takedown. You can finish the first stage with getting less than 1000 points, which does not matter for this combo. And the guys with electric battons can be dmaged with the electricity gun (whatever the name) - it does not give points, but they do not matter for this combo.

TIP FOR THAT RACE : change the view while driving. Put it front of batmobile view. Makes it way easier.

Great video! I got the platinum 4 years ago and didn't really have much trouble with it. I didn't realize how much harder the additional trophies were until I recently came back to the game to try to get 100% trophies, I just got the last two trophies I needed today (Requiem for a Killer and The Curtain Falls).

A tip for the future: Use your special takedowns. Not only is it an instant knockout, but it also gives you time to think in a dense crowd. I mean really abuse them, build combo and the second you see that yellow combo bar, hit it.

Much respect bro, I was able to only ever 100% Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, but never did all the characters in City, only Batman. The games are awesome, but the 100% completions for each game are Gears of War levels of tedium that I just couldn’t do anymore after City.

Seeing your reactons when you get your trophies (I just watched your crash platinum video) reminds me that even the great players squeal when they finally get a trophy they've been trying hours for. The hardest part of the combat challenges specifically is the game is designed to hold your hand in a sense when using certain abilities, but then deactivates that "hand holding" randomly. So pressing B/O to stun might go for the big guy, or Batman might fling himself across the battlefield and try to stun a guy with a body shield. If you were expecting to stun the big guys, you might immediately press your attack button, thinking rather innocently that you'll be doing that and ruin your combo outright. That was the mainly tough reason I had an issue with this particular series of games. BUT this is only an issue if you're in super big fights (the low end being something like the GCPD lockdown) and not small-medium sized fights. The larger fights is where this can potentially happen a lot.

I am the greatest batman arkham knight player of all time but you did pretty good still. THE AR challenges for the car skins are super easy, there is so many tracks too choose from, you dont have to get all 3 stars in each.

currently struggling through the community challenge pack! I got Requiem for a Killer and Curtain Call today and omg that tested me for real. Still have some hard ones to go but getting those two out of the way is a relief
