I Turned The Last of Us' Platinum From Easy to PAINFUL

This game is so much better on the hardest difficulty. So tense and exciting. I got stuck on the coop section with David. You're a better shot with that thing than I am!! 😄

So easy to tear up in this game. There are multiple, MULTIPLE parts that do it. The cuts between summer and fall, and winter and spring especially. Best game ever.

a little tips for everyone who decide to beat the game on grounded: 1) stealth is ur friend, its possible to stealth ur way out of 90% of locations explanation: enemies are pretty blind while u r in stealth mode, they look at ur chest, so just be careful, in combat they see ur head, and they waaaay better at shooting then you are 2) clickers tip: work smart, be as slow as possible, they won't spot u (it will take u some time to understand the mechanics but all of the clickers sections are stealthable 3) u can throw bottles and bricks at the firefly locket that is on a tree 4) there are only 2 bloaters that u have to kill: ur first bloater in school and the one when u play as ellie, others can be stealth around or can ran from (where u turn on the light to get the door count to 3 then u see a bloater. RUN, it might take 2-3 attempts,but if u run without waiting the bloater spawns in a room with the door, not what u need) +bloaters get duble damage when they are on fire, and all enemies cant do anything while they are on fire (its there skill system, yep being on fire is not a skill, but it is esier to do that this way) 5) when u get into the section with people as ellie go to the right, there is this little brown thing where the locket is, stay there, use ur bow and kill 4 of them, keep moving, use ur bow and bottles to attract the enemy and shoot it, wait to the other one to see it and get down near it, kill him, do it until there are 1-2 guys left, there at the stairs, u can try shooting them from distance, come close and kill them with ur knife or throw a bottle in front of the stairs and get there fro left or from right side the second location is really easy to stealth, if u get spoted, just run to the bin, move it, get inside 6) when u run away with no amo as ellie, just stealth ur way throw, dont kill anyone, its faster and easier 7) for the hospital I would just recomend getting fire resistant chair, because u will die a lot, if u get spotted u r dead, start over (at least that was a thing in remaster, from what i saw in different playthroughs the remake is a lot easier, and there is no checkpoints at most of the places, so u just start the scene over every time, im kinda mad that they made is so much easier and adad so much loot) 8) if u get the checkpoint in the uncomfy spot, just press back to checkpoint and u start the scene over 9) there are 4 types of infected a) runners: fast, can see u, attack in groups, can be killed with bare hands b) Stalkers: fast, can see u, ambush in dark areas, can be killed with bare hands c) Clicker: slower then both runners and stalkers, blind, can't be killed barehanded, but can be killed with a knife or with throwing a brick then hit it with a pipe, or with another brick) d) Bloater: slow, blind, can throw spores at u, cant be killed with bare hands or bricks none of them can see a flash light, but human enemies can) hope that helps

I remeber playing this game when it came out on ps3 and i cried when Sarah died, finished it a few times and on the hardest dificulty aswell and was the same struggle, eveb finding a brick was a reason for joy! And let me tell you, the game gets 10x better on survivor/grounded you are ALWAYS super anxious and on tense while playing such a master piece

Nick I’m really surprised that you played this on grounded mode because it’s the hardest difficulty in the game. I finished the game on survivor mode and it was really hard, I’m impressed that you completed this on grounded mode man, I respect that and great job for completing it.

Clickers don’t just have great hearing, they have echolocation meaning if you’re out in the open and the Clicker is facing you and screeches, it will know exactly where you are standing and lunge at you.

I remember how game changing it was when I realized the brick/bottle is the most valuable weapon in grounded difficulty

I did the PS4 Remastered version Platinum and it sucks so much compared to these trophies, you have to play minimum 168 multiplayer matches and the players there are on some god level. Congratz on beating Grounded, it is no joke 🙏🏻

I played the two games on custom difficulty (everything grounded, except resources on hard) and it was still a struggle. I can't imagine getting through with basically zero resources

If TLOU for PS5 ever becomes free for PS+ I would most certainly claim it and get the platinum. Also thank God the PS5 version doesn't have the ridiculous online trophies. Anyways congrats on the platinum Nick!

Awesome plat. I remember when I did it on remaster version and booooy oh boy 160 mp matches and grounded difficulty even harder than in remake version. I almost broke my controller but its my proudest plat

That checkpoint at about 13:00-I feel like that wouldn’t have happened on the original game. From my memory, there was only one checkpoint in that part on Grounded, so it’d just shoot you back to the beginning of that part (before the enemies see you), but then again, that’s just my memory.

I just got this platinum but I damn sure didn't play on the hardest difficulty, I know it's not for me. They actually made the remake an easier platinum trophy because both the original and remastered version have difficulty trophies which I'm glad they took out for the remake.

Oh Nick, you don't have to shoot the firefly necklaces down. You can just use the bricks/bottles, that always are nearby those to throw against and they fall down from that. What a shame you wasted precious bullets for that.

Grounded is actually not that hard. There’s only a few times we’re you really need to be careful and play your cards right. For example the fight against all the infected with Ellie and David, you really need to hit all your shots or you’re dead. Stealth is the best way to beat grounded. Also be happy you didn’t have to beat TLOU remastered grounded difficulty. It’s a lot worse
