I'm a little bothered that Damien is not as hardcore as he usually is (or being able to defend himself) but I do enjoy how he's actually acting like a kid.
It’s just how they decide to represent him in the show. They place characters into celebrity/normal/comedic stereotypes for people on tv. Harley is just someone who wants to make it big and get famous.

I love that they just fully embrace how ridiculously OP Batman is in this show. No character conflict, no flaws, no pretenses. They just fully make him into a joke.
I don't know much Batman backstory, I understand they made Damian a total wuss in this series in order to be the exact opposite of the original, which is apparently a totally badass 12 year old but also smug as all hell?
Yes. Damian is totally adorable and semi-innocent in this show. And while he's still adorable in the comics and other movies and shows, Damian is extremely intelligent and has skills. He's cocky, and always has to be right. Since he was raised by the league of assassins, Damian has enough strength and skill to potentially surpass the other robins and his own father. Not to mention Damian does not have the mind of a child, his mental age is way beyond him. but of course he has some childish behavior here and there, after all he is a child.
Min Suga Damian is the most skilled out of the Robins, only thing holding back is his age of course, and his arrogant demeanour but he works past that eventually .
i mean he'sa more realistic 12 year old... they don't have to be the same as other versions. different versions of superhero universe aren't the exact same. i mean they can even go to the extreme of making superman russian. why not making damian into a realistic kid?

there is no way Harley would get close enough to Damion to catch him let alone hang him up side down that kid killed a family of demons and kept their baby as a pet

This is more comedy based so some characters quirks are played up and other played down. Villains and Nemesis are treated like jobs and relationships in this and the League of Villain is more of an exclusive club for villains in this.
