Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City and learns of a sinister doomsday cult planning its destruction. Bruce must don the mantle of Batman to fight against ancient magic foes and fiery demons while guarding his sanity against the Old Gods' corruption.

Of all the versions of Harvey Dent/Two-Face. this one was a Saddest one. the poor guy sits there, like he is depressed he couldn’t escape.

I mean, he can’t. He’s literally that portal, it’s made of his flesh. He didn’t even actually earn this fate himself, he was the target of the cult of Ghul mainly because of his parents, and he was just trying to become mayor here.

Part of me really hated this version of Harvey since Gotham by Gaslight. He cheated on his wife, stabs Bruce in the back, and treats Saline like the bad guy.

The flashback to the lads as they once were drives home how hard this is for Bruce. And Oliver gets a moment of clarity to reassure Bruce and urge him onward.

To Me the message with Bruce confronting the people of his past is him letting go of his oldself and stepping forward into the darkness to become the right campion to hold its power as sometimes when the darkness needs a champion we end up becoming it but using it for the right reasons without becoming lost by it

Nope, it's a different story. Jim Gordon is alive in this story while he died in Gotham by gaslight.

It is Doom that Came to Gotham. Completely different. Gaslight Batman is by Bat standards very unskilled. This Batman on the other hand is very skilled even by Batman standards. Gaslight is overall realistic for Batman. This is Lovecraftian fantasy. Gaslight is about the hidden evil in humanity. This is about the hidden good in humanity.
