The complete reading order if you want to read everything related to the metal and death metal events: 1. Batman by Scott Snyder omnibus (vol 1 and 2) 2. Dc metal omnibus 3. Justice league no justice 4. Justice league by scott snyder (there are 3 deluxe hardcovers, but you can also read the 6 trade paper backs instead, the content is the same) 5. Batman who laughs (the one on this video) 6. Batman/superman who are the secret six? 7. Villain of the year: the infected (kinda optional, but fun) 8. Year of the villain: Hell arisen 9. Dc death metal omnibus
Nice job Omar, I know you said you weren't really into the youtube shorts as much as your more thorough info dense videos, but this is great content. Thanks, I appreciate it!
Can you do a hox pox krakoa xmen reading order please omar and tell us what trades of missing stuff we need to buy which is not in the Dawn, Trials of X trades
So would the best way to collect this dc metal story be by getting the 2 Batman omnibus, dc metal, omnibus, Batman who laughs deluxe edition, and dc death metal omnibus?
The batman who laughs is a chatacter born from the pages of the DC Metal event. Some time later, the miniseries "the batman who laughs" came out. It's a continuation of the character, not really a spin-off and there are a lot of things that happen in between
Do you have to read any of Scott snyders justice league to help understand dark knights death metal? It was one of my first DC books about a year ago and I understood basically none of it
I feel you have to read both No Justice and the whole of Snyder's JL run, especially JL. Dark Knights Death Metal is the "Fallout" of sorts and a direct continuation of his JL.
Snyder’s Batman, road to metal, metal, no justice. Batman who laughs comes sometime after the first arc if I remember correctly, or maybe try after issue 13.
Scott Snyder is one of the worst writers out there. All of his work is derivative, and never really pays off, it just ends. I stopped buying comics altogether during New 52 because he was such a hack.
And this is the problem with modern comics. This much backstory needed before you pick up a random comic. So someone needs to spend 100$ to read a batman who laughs ?
All the comics here are worth reading. They're better than the Batman who laughs. Sorry that not everything can be a stand alone simply because you will it 😂
