In a half perfect world, he would have been rewarded for his efforts. But this is a demonic world we live in, so the worse case scenario is always chosen.
This is why all bodycams should turn on from the moment the cop punches in to the time they punch out. (cops would call in for bathroom breaks and the station would turn off the bodycam for 10 minutes...if you need more than 10 minutes, you should call in sick). People working in stores are on camera from the time they drive onto the parking lot to the time they drive off. If they can do their work under the cameras, why can't cops? Cops have a habit of destroying evidence by muting the bodycams or turning them off to control the narrative. This becomes destruction of evidence in court and wouldn't be allowed if all bodycams are on during their working day. If cops want a private talk with other cops they can do so after work. While at work all conversations should be professional (just like at any Walmart or Target). Cops shouldn't be allowed to decide which evidence gets to court and which evidence doesn't. If a cop says, their bodycam went down, they need to come into the station for another. Charging would be simple. Usb has magnetic ends that breakaway without harm. While in the police vehicle, they simply pull the usb cable over to the bodycam and connect to the car lighter. In an emergency, the usb magnet breaks away harmlessly. If they forget to recharge, again, they come into the station and pickup anther charged bodycam. No excuses, zero tolerance. Lower trained people can accomplish these things, why can't cops?? If they can't handle the simplicity of a bodycam, then they can't safely handle a gun.
Either this police chief is trying to hide his involvement and should be arrested or he's admitting he doesn't know what his own men are doing and has no control over them and shouldn't be a police chief!!!
