It's amazing how the effects and the bats are more realistic than most horror movies made nowadays.

I can't believe i liked this. Whenever the bats attack all they show are a bunch of blurry and quick shots

I like how Rotten tomatoes critically said the movie isn’t scary, but I’m pretty sure naturally people would be scared if they were attacked by a swarm of bats. And not only bats, but ones apparently trained by the mad scientist to tackle a person off their feet like they were hit by a charging NFL quarterback. XD

Imagine getting melee'd to death by something smaller than a housecat. They might as well bury you with clown shoes on.

you know its really amazing how few horror movies there actually are related to bats. Seriously except for superhero stuff and whenever dracula is involved, you almost never see them as the focus of movies that much, especially in horror......

Watched this when it first came out, it was more comedy then horror to me and my friends, especially the last part right before the bat gets ran over, everyone was laughing. Still on my list of all time favorite movies

Man when I first saw this movie it scared the crap out of me and made me almost wish to never come anywhere near a bat but I know the bats in this movie were the result of scientific experimentation and that not all bats are dangerous and what was funny about one scene in this movie was that part where the town sheriff and the lady who specialized in the study of bats were trapped in the sheriff's car with all those bats all over the car it reminded me of the scene from the movie The Savage Bees where the swarm of African Killer Bees trapped a scientist in her car and the swarm had completely covered it and just like with the bats in this movie where they killed them by freezing them they did the same with the swarm of African Killer Bees in The Savage Swarm by slowly dropping the temperature and freezing the Bees.

An underrated classic!

I agree completely. This movie just had it. I remember seeing it in the theater and trying to climb through the seat because the tension was so real.

God damn, possibly a new kill count high tier. Impressive.

I've been trying to get mom to watch it with me for the longest time, and I finally got her to watch It a while back. She thought it was gonna be a lot gorier and more violent than it was.

original SciFi channel used to play this one a lot.
