Sick clear, dude. I tried this last night and it's pretty tough, died in stage 2-4. I need to route it and try again. :) 9:57: I usually call them turrets. I think "sentries" is also accepted parlance because IIRC "sentry turrets" are a kind of turret used for defending a fortification or battleship.
Nice run! I'm taking notes lol. I had no idea there was a safe spot for the stage 5 boss. I've made it about halfway through the second loop, but it gets pretty crazy.
thanks for watchin fruit! 2nd loop gets nasty, just try to stay away from the walls, and keep in mind your hurtbox of your ship is really tiny, so experiment with taking some risks with enemy fire & revenge bullets
Epic run Des! Since I had been busy with the Original version, I didn't sample Special version until last night and I banged out a 1-All on the first attempt. It felt super easy since I was able to transfer all of my strats from OG version but when I hit loop 2, I was blown away by how many revenge bullets each enemy sprays. Also had no idea there was a shield mechanic involved, so that's pretty helpful to know now. Also very intrigued to hear how the pink pigs function and stoked the game doesn't stop after the second loop! I really like that they reduce each following run by one stage - what a great idea! Stoked to see you tackle this mode further, bro. Wicked commentary and eager for more stuff like this from you!
