Thanks for having me at your sanctuary (pun intended). Had a great time. Hopefully we can give one of these away this season. It's all about people. It's why we do this!
I just received my allett liberty 43 about a month ago. I have 2 small complaints but other than that I love this thing! Super quiet, battery powered, great cut and the rollers can stripe almost any grass type. I have zoysia mowed at just under 1/2” and it puts decent stripes down. Short cut zoysia is not that easy to get well defined stripes. It’s a great machine and the attachments / cartridges are what puts this thing over the top. Great machine
I've got a relatively small yard w plenty of curves, so te size should be fine ... I've wanted one of these and was looking at swardsman, but it looks like the quality has taken a bit of a dive
Looking at getting one of these here in the uk but there sold out they’ve sent them all over the pond dam it. You’ve got all the chemicals and now you got all the mowers 😆
Really cool! Electric power tools are taking over the lawn and i'm not upset at all. When I finally make the commitment to a reel mower this will be on the list. Thanks.
I think you should do an asmr style video which is basically just cuts from all your previous videos where you are slapping stuff 🤣I know I'll enjoy it to the fullest! Sic mower tho!
I love my reel mower (manual) and I love my primary rotary (timemaster) and am okay with my second rotary (Honda). Add in my green works dethatcher and my Stihl trimmer / edger and I still don’t have enough invested to match the cost of one of these powered reel mowers. I would love to have one, but they are prohibitively expensive. Does it really cost that much more to build a reel than a rotor?
They are pricey but when comparing to the Toro it's not to bad. To get a decent running/looking GM I was finding them for around 1500. So I thought 500 more and I can have something new and quieter
I looked to order a 12 blade cylinder from these guys and they wanted to charge 7-800$ just for the cylinder, so it seems that’s where the extra cost is really. Maybe the drum drive as well
If you want a powered reel mower for that size lawn I’d say this one right here 👍 unless you can find a really good deal on a toro greens master. But this battery Allett would be perfect
It's a nice machine for someone with a small lawn who wants a reel mower. If I had the time, money and commitment I would purchase this and reel mow my 2,300 square foot front lawn (I would still rotart mow the back)
I wanted to ask the same question. thank you! I have been using reel mower but cutting higher. have been considering to transition to low cut and try Liberty 43.
Bought one about a month ago. Mowed the front once. Used the scarifier and the drive belt broke. They sent a replacement but I have no Idea how to change it. I’m honestly disappointed… 😞 😞 😞 at this point it’s just sitting in my garage.
That's a commercial mower for golf courses That mow their lawns daily, Not for the homeowner that mows their lawn once a week. The question is how long will the batteries be available before the manufacturer closes or retailers in you local area stop selling them.
This mower is made for a homeowner.. no golf course would use this mower. It uses a green works battery so as long has green works is still in business and I don’t see them going away. If they do, I’m sure allett will make a conversion kit for a different battery.
I'd love a reel mower, especially the other cartridges, but this one convinces me I did right buying a 20 inch corded rotary mower. Comparing to the 20 inch Allett reel, the rotary weighs 62 pounds, the reel 125 pounds. I wouldn't be able to handle the hills with the extra weight of the reel. The rotary at $180, the reel at $4639 (not including battery) and I would need two batteries for my size lawn. My first rotary lasted 4 years before the spot welds gave up, with the extra weight I'm not sure the reel would last even that long. (I have full grown trees, they grow their roots on the surface, really rough on a mower bouncing over the roots).
One thing that Clint's mower has that it doesn't come with is a very rare Striperman signature sticker on it. There are only 3 stickers in the world out there and he has one of them. :)
Hoosier here, too. Just received the Toro 60V Super Recycler last week and I reviewed it. I'm not a video guy like you, but are you planning a review for the 60V Super Recycler? I'm curious what your thoughts would be.
I took a huge drink of water and you begin to say, I’m sure my wife says I could use a couple more inches..”. My lab then gets sprayed with water!! Lol 😂
Hint: You need to use a product a lot more than you did, before reviewing it. Kinda silly that you didn't even put it through a single full battery cycle beforehand, and ideally, through enough of a season that you find out it's more of a PITA to clean it and sharpen blades.
Love the innuendos! Also like the total lack of proper terminology when explaining just what you have. (Sidekick) "I brought this little thing here." (referring to portable impact, not himself)
I would never recommend a homeowner buy a new toro. I got my toro for under $500 and it’s in great shape, built like a tank and will last me forever if I take care of it
You can backlap and if for some reason your not getting a good quality cut you should call an Allett dealer. If your local its easy if not you can send the reel out and pay the shipping. Another option would be to call your local golf course and see if they would consider doing.
@@TheLawnWhisperer the price is so high because it is imported from europe the liberty 43 is about 1000 dollar in Holland where i come from in the us they are exactly twice the price
These are the future, ahem, cough, Honda, cough, Toro. People will reel mow if there was more interest/competition in this space. Not spending 3-4K on a swardman, but maybe at 1.5k, that might be a possibility.
