I would pay GOOD money to see Hat Films and other Yogs play this on Jingle Jam. They could do anything from 1v1 to to 8 player maps! Incredibly versatile RTS. Like this is probably my favourite childhood game.

This is my favourite game of all time. Nothing will come near it and nostalgia for it only makes me love it stronger every year. I’ve never shouted phrases and sang theme tunes more than when playing this game. THE PERFECT GAME

I love Tronk doing the goblin voice and getting into the bit, I love Broth's mouth trumpet EDM remix of the Rohan or Gondor theme or whatever that piece is, and I love Smiff just cave-trolling the others. What a fun RTS game!

This such a good old RTS. Besides C&C this game and Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends were my absolute favs growing up. What a golden age of RTS games. I wish Rise of Legends had proper digitally supported release.. I still have my physical copy. Maybe its floating around cracked on a abandonware website. That game is one of the greatest steampunk settings of all time.

Late, but you can capture monster bases (troll, goblin, dragon babies, spiders, etc) by using certain abilities.

Awesome video. Even today, Battle for Middle Earth 2 is a banger and my go-to RTS for LAN parties. Up to 8 players, secret chat channels for diplomacy, and all in a wonderful Lord of the Rings flavor.

Yes you can capture neutral tribe buildings, there’s either a hero ability you can use OR a power from the palentier, goblins can do this
