Battle! Gym Leader (Johto Version) - Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver Music Extended 

Went in Jasmine's gym knowing everyone simps for her, came out knowing you can paralyze Electric-Type Pokemon.

Heartgold and Soulsilver will always be my favorites

I've started playing Pokemon recently and I picked this as my first game. Didn't regret.

0:50 is when the song really hits hard

I've been listening to this track for years and years, and I only just noticed the funky turn the bass takes during the 4th ramp-up that starts at 0:45. It's like the bassline itself can't take the tension that has built up over this whole section and it finally snaps before launching into the most hype part of the whole track. God I love this game.

What I love about the _truly_ good songs is that hearing even the tiniest snippets of them can make them stuck in my head for hours. *This is one of these songs.* Same could be said about a lot of Pokemon themes (mostly battles). I don't even know what exactly makes them so catchy and memorable. They just have a certain _"magic"_ to them.

1:07 to 1:12 has to be my favourite part- I don’t know what it is about the note progression, I just love it

Falkner: An almost too simple tutorial Gym battle lacking any Johto Pokémon Bugsy: This battle would be pretty much the same if Scyther was his only Pokémon Whitney: Miltank is power creep in the form of a fat pink cow, too bad Clefairy's not Normal anymore Morty: Imagine being the Johto Ghost-Type Gym Leader and not having a Misdreavus Chuck: Both of his Pokémon have gotten direct buffs since the Gen 4 days, plus no Johto Pokémon Jasmine: Imagine having both of your Magnemite unevolved even though they evolve at Lv. 30 Pryce: Imagine being an Ice-Type Trainer and having all of your Pokémon be weak to Grass Clair: Wow, it only took until the final Gym for one of you to have I team I actually agree with you using Yeah... Johto might be my favorite main series region to play through, but you gotta admit some of these are really stupid.

For the first three gyms, I used a Geodude. Easy af. After that, it was Crobat for the next two gyms, and after that, it was a group effort. The Elite Four was also pretty tough, especially Karen and her stalling Umbreon.

When first played this game, this battle theme was so nice I didn't wanna the battle to end

This gym leader soundtrack beats all other gens (especially the newer ones) by a long shot. Never got to play this version, but beat the original version on Gameboy Color when I was younger.

I love this theme mostly for is kinda slow compared to the original, and has anticipated parts, just like the battles in Gen 4

I feel like you can swap the themes for HGSS and BW and It would still work

I haven't played HG/SS in a long time, but I remember beating Whitney without using the Traded Machop named Muscle. Clair while having the party her Kingdra annihilated me with in Crystal Version. Was able to beat Karen's Umbreon with my Ampharos knowing Signal Beam. Lance was a nightmare.....

Gym leaders theme more like Nuzlock run is on the line theme

So sad that this does not play in the Kanto gyms, this one if miles better than Kanto's

Whitney and her Miltank Chuck and his Poliwrath Clair and her Kingdra Koga and his Crobat Bruno and his Machamp Karen and her Houndoom Can burn in hell

Gen 2 had the best music by far, and the gen 4 remaster does it all the Justice

We suppose to be having a battle or a dance off? Most of the music for Pokémon is either not really ment for it or ment for a different series. Also what's-their-name used the instruments from the various DS games for some of the tracks you can hear it in the tracks that would normally have guitars if made into real remixes.
