They just saved themselves from their own destruction along with the remnants of Muslim civilizations in Arabia and North Africa - which in itself is a great feat. Japan, Vietnam, and India were able to defend themselves against the Mongols without much external help. Although the Byzantine Empire evaded the massive invasion by forming a cordial relationship with the Mongols (which could have assisted the Mongols if Mongols launched a campaign against Europe), France, England, and the Holy Roman Empire stood firm in Western Europe despite the Polish and Hungarian losses in Eastern Europe. Mongols didn't invade HRE or posed any actual significant threat to the Western Europeans. So, I don't see any "the entire world is getting destroyed" even if Mamluks had lost the battle.
