NSU is and will always be the truth!!! They just have a sound and style that is just so unique to them. HU had a good show and has made tremendous improvements. But it's hard to beat NSU on the field.
Both bands were great. Norfolk's sound is soooooo much richer, bolder, deeper. Their sound is soooooo clean. Wow. Great job for both schools. BEHOLD...💚💛💚💛
It's Norfolk for me that sound is phenomenol and the precision is on point on well. There dance team is coming into their own as well. I see so much improvement with them. Hampton U put on a nice show but Norfolk had me with the very first song. Keep it coming.
The best I have seen from Hampton in a long long time. NSU is just in a class all it’s own. Watch out for them Legion, they’ve been picking up a thing here or there from yuh. Lol.
Hampton University band has improved but they still have some more to do, keep working, you will never be better than NSU, but you will surpass others but not the green and gold
Good shows from both bands.....NSU did their thing and Hampton held their own..Hampton is a different band than they were 10 years ago...a lot of good things coming from my "Home by the sea"...proud of the Marching Force!
I love NSU. The Mighty SPARTANS. 💕 I respect Hampton University Marching Band. They have a different sound and you can see the students dedication in music. I applaud both Universities keep up the Good works. 🌹
ah, the Battle of the Bay has returned. So good to see both bands looking really good. Dr. Jones has the kids working hard I see. I hope a gym battle can retur soon, that would be awesome.
Everywhere this cat goes, the band is very much improved. It happened at A&T and now at Hamp. Good to see them making major improvements. I gotta say though, ain’t nothing in the SWAC touching Norfolk. Not even Grambling. I enjoyed both bands. They both sound great.

Norfolk State Band has been the band to beat, and it still is the band to beat, no one and mean no one can do it like the "GREEN and GOLD" certified through the years
Ebony fire turning into Golden Delight smh. NSU sounds way better .!!!!! Upper brass for Hampton is killing their sound. But Hampton show was more entertaining.

I noticed how yall picking hampton apart but yet I have yet to see anyone say anything about the drummers dropping their sticks or with the band blowing so hard it's killing the notes maybe its me
I sat on Hampton's side. I was impressed with Hampton's show only because it was enthusiastic & entertaining to the krowd. But when I see these videos Hampton was blowing some bad notes. The Spartan Legion sound though, was overwhelmingly beautiful. Great half time show. NSU is next level musicianship!
Both sides of the bay were great! 🎼👏🏽👏🏽 And that's hard for me to say about NSU.😊 The HU Baton Twirlers & Ebony Fire were on fire!🔥 Would like to have seen more of the twirlers. (Missed seeing the gentleman!) Love that "hometown" rivalry! ⚓💙🤍 ... 🪖💚💛
