BATTLE OF THE BUDGET TOOLS: Leatherman Wingman vs GANZO G302B #multitool, #tools #tool #leatherman #ganzo #battle #vs #budget #ganzoknives #battles Leatherman Wingman is available here: amzn.to/2C1okMX The Ganzo G302B here: goo.gl/NAnB7W The Leatherman tool is almost twice the price of the Ganzo (on flash sale), but has a great 25 year warranty. So, I've got this tools for a long time and used both extensively through all of this time for DIY projects, gardening and moving. I can say that this combo worked the best for me as those tools seem to complete each other's flaws, such as the different driver bits (love them more than the Leatherman flat ones), locking tools, larger (thicker) pliers and removable cutter blades on the Ganzo and the large scissors, smaller size, lower weight and better sheath on the Leatherman. So I chose to own and use them both, which one would you choose? Write down in the comments.
Cool tool!! But actually, I prefer the Gerber NXT as my EDC tool. It's only $30 and has 15 tools on it, solidly built, and is the thinnest multitool I have ever owned, and it has a good pocket clip on it as well. Check it out!!!
To be completely honest the leatherman is better in so many ways *the ganzo multitool is only 10 dollars less than the Leatherman Wingman* 1. The wingman has a larger and more durable knife that has a smooth one hand opening, unlike the tiny hard to open knives on the ganzo 2. The leatherman wingman is much less bulky and looks much better, its also more pocket friendly than the ganzo. 3. The wingman is more ergonomic to hold the knife. 4. The wingman has a 25 year warranty not just against defects, but all other use. Etc.... However I dont think ganzo is bad, they just dont price the tool correctly for its capabilities
To play Devil's Advocate: 1. Ganzo is ~$37 shipped, Wingman is ~$60 now. 2. Ganzo comes with a sheath and a bit kit as a part of the standard kit, Wingman doesn't. 3. Ergonomics depend on the size of the hand plus Ganzo pliers are stronger IMO (apply more force). 4. G302B has removable pliers which could be sharpened. After a few years of use - these are very different tools. Wingman would be better for EDC while I'd prefer the Ganzo to keep in the home toolkit or car for harder use and shtf situations. Cheers!
@@ATechReviewsKnives i respect your opinion. But ive seen the wingman for 50 canadian dollars with a sheath at one store. The actual price of the wingman on amazon canada is 70 while the price of ganzo is 55. If i was going to buy a multitool for that much i might as well buy the 25 years of warranty and the better knife. Also the wingmans pliers arent as heavy duty but its pocket friendly. Tbh the problem with the ganzo is the price. Too high to be tempting me
@@ATechReviewsKnives and idk about you but i dont carry bit kits wherever i go. Im a uni student ffs that wingman helped me improvise so many things during my physics labs lmao. The fine needlenose is more important than the snubnose but hey i get your preference
I was able to sharpen the blades very easily on my Ganzo, and it is now much more acceptable. It is still bigger and heavier than my Leatherman Wingman and Wave+, but it does take 1/4 inch bits. This means I can use my set of JIS bits, which work MUCH better than standard or Leatherman sized Phillips bits. Making personal insults doesn't bother me, but it might make you appear an idiot to other RU-vid users, who prefer information to noise.
For those not in the know: If you have machinery made or designed in Japan, you may think that the cross head screws are Phillips screws. They are not. They are Japan Industry Standard (JIS) screws. If you try to remove them with a Phillips screwdriver, you will eventually wreck them. Maybe not right away. But soon. If you buy JIS screwdrivers and bits, you will prevent this difficulty. Just my 2c.
I take back my comment. I was very disappointed to receive a completely crushed package, which even ruined the Ganzo case. And the tools were all blunt, they were stiff to open, and it was quite heavy. But in retrospect, the tools sharpened up nicely and there is a huge amount of versatility and value here.
