Amazing work. Thanks to both of you. Kaustav, I have a few questions. I watched a couple of times and I don't think you mentioned what glue you were using for the cardstock. It seemed to hold very well and very quickly. How long did you have to wait for the glue to set? What was the device you had for holding the super glue tube? Thanks again. Great video.

Thank you Maurice! The glue is standard white glue used for crafts, the particular brand I used is this: www.kokuyocamlin.com/product/adhesives/white-glue-52-137-0.html On paper, the glue sets almost instantly - the trick is moderation, and letting the glue dry for about 10 seconds before pressing the parts together. Also, it's important to hold the parts in place for about 10 seconds for glue to hold. Once it takes hold, it will stick pretty well. The super glue stand is actually a jig I made to make buffer stops! Now that I am not making any buffer stops, it's doubling up as a super glue tube holder. :) Nothing but two thin strips of scrap PVC boards - you can make one out of wood or cardboard too. Hope this helps, and thank you agian for stopping by. Cheers!

@@TrainsandDioramas Thank you for the reply. I will look for that brand, it seems to work better than Elmer's and Aileen's, which are the standards here in the U.S. I went back through the videos at slow speed to get a better look at that super glue tube holder and jig. Now that I understand the jig part doesn't have anything to do with holding the glue I think I can build something similar. Thank you again. Cheers!

An alternative to the Elmer's standard white glue could be tacky glue - I got myself one for a different purpose and I found the drying time of that and this craft glue is very similar, with tacky glue giving a bit more 'tack' after 10 seconds. Just give it a shot in a quick build and see if it works better than Elmer's standard white glue. Let me know how that goes. Cheers!

Hello Kaustav, what a superb video about the fun you can have with scratch building and kit building! "Fantastic shown and celebrated!!!" I really enjoyed! I, for my self, can only give impressions about my Z-scale model building by little picture storys. It is admittedly not possible for me to shoot such a tutorial with my personal possibilities! Great job from you and your colleague! Anyway, if I can set time by time some positiv impulses and ideas for modeling in scale 1/220 with my work, then I´m happy. Thank you so much, and I am glad that you liked it. 🙏🙏 Modeling in Z scale is no joke and I can totally understand the difficulties of filming a build process to show exactly what's been done. Half the time you will fiddle with focus and then a lot of time needs to be spent in editing to extract that very few seconds of 'proper' footage. I am enjoying your layout tours and train running. 😀🍻🍻

Hi guys, great idea. Great video. I’m sorry I couldn’t catch it live. Too early on the west coast of the US. I tried, but failed. I did throughly enjoy it. You guys are both so talented. Thanks.

No worries Norman and glad that you could make it! 🙏I cannot catch the early morning live streams in the US either - as long as you enjoy it, it's all good. Dazzy is in Australia, and it was already nearing midnight for him when we ended - so couldn't push it any further. Thank you for stopping by, and just as a heads up, the next one is going to be BIG! keep your eyes peeled. :) Cheers!

I scratchbuild in O scale, you in N scale hats off to you, my goodness can't build N scale, O scale is sometimes hard and need my magnifying glasses.

Thank you! I think my advantage is that I started with N Scale in my mid 20s - so age and ability was on my side. Now I am transitioning to HO and OO, and if I can ever move to a bigger home, I see myself building O (possibly narrow gauge) and even gauge-1 - my retirement plan is all set, all I need is money! 😬

@@TrainsandDioramas always had H0, but now I'm 55 and smaller the O is not to do anymore. My layout the Coldwater Hotsprings Little Creek is in 0n30 narrow gauge, just finished 6 scratchbuild flatcars of which 3 will become the base for pulpwood cars. Im about to upload the maiden voyage of the 6 flatcars, may check it out here on RU-vid. I have great respect for you modeling in N scale or even modeling in India. Here in Holland its good to do, tolling stock is somewhat difficult because most has to come from the states making it really exspensive unfortunately therefore I scratchbuild a lot too. Im enjoying your channel and sibscribe to it greetings from the low country of the Netherlands.
