I use the Vanicream and the La Roche-Posay cleanser. Vanicream feels like B U T T E R with some steam incorporated. 🤤 It's perfect for combo/oily people with sensitive skin or skin barrier damage. There's literally nothing impressive in the ingredients besides glycerin and mica (for color?) so I was shocked at how good it was. The LRP is the only cream cleanser I've ever liked and love that it doesn't leave a weird residue. I find that if I use 2 pumps, it lowkey "lathers" which makes me happy. I can't and never will do Aveeno because the oatmeal smell makes we wanna gag. 🤢
You know I never thought to use two pumps of the LRP. I might have to give that a try. I actually feel like the Aveeno doesn't have too much of an oatmeal smell but fragrance is super subjective lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💕
Good review. I was like you, I just got Vanicream and yet to start using it, giving Cerave hydrating cleanser a break. (Try this trick when you are doing your cleansing routine, wear scrunchies on your wrists, it absorbs water and stops it from dripping all the way to your elbow.)
I've been using Vanicream Gentle Cleanser and I can honestly say I love it entirely, the texture and soapiness is EVERYTHING! However in the winter especially while using tretinoin. I agree that the Aveeno and LRP are better morning Cleansers.
I started using the laroche posay hydrating gentle cleanser along with the double repair moisturizer, I mean at first I got some pimples not gana lie but after giving it some time to work my skin actually looks soft and hydrated. I plan on continuing with this brand and even incorporating other products from the line into my routine :)
I am a 69 year old male with combo/oily skin, as I age the skin is still oily but dehydrated! I don't think that have done enough research on aging oily or combo skin, that is why I love Eucerin gel cleanser, La Poche Pose, and Aveeno's gentle cleanser!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It took me forever to realize oily skin still needs moisture and hydration! I'll have to add eucerine gel cleanser to my list to try 😊
My skin has been acting out with my adapalene and winter. This is actually my first winter while using it and it is super sensitive and flaky and my skin is combo oily. The aveeno is the best for me and I've used all of these.
When I was on Differin (adapalene) back in the day I used to grab the most gentle cleanser I could find to reduce flaking and tugging on my skin. Glad you've found something that works for you 😊
@@benenon agreed! I spoke to my derm about tretinoin so im trying to master how to avoid irritation early on. Thank you for your advice! Would love to see more of your tips on how to avoid irritation with actives like adapelene and tretinoin in different seasons and such
@@junjunofficial7491 Hi Jun, no I stopped using it and switch to the La Roche Posay cleanser! I agree with you it was not doing enough. I think my skin type changed too so I only used hydrating and moisturizing skincare now.
I have combo-oily skin and use Tretinoin. I rotate between Cerave’s daily foaming cleanser and the La Roche Posay hydrating one. I keep them both and use whichever I feel is necessary at the moment. I don’t believe a cleanser has to be super pricey either!
Why spend more if you can get the job done at a lower price! I feel like you almost have to rotate and adjust cleansers with tretinoin. My skin has different needs day to day 😊
Thank you for this! I’ve been using the Vanicream for a while and wondered if I should switch to something that claims to have more benefits like LRP. But after this video, I’m going to stick to the Vanicream. I’ve really been liking it for my combo, acne prone skin while I’ve been using tretinoin.
I love your channel , the detailed demonstration of skincare products is so helpful in helping us make decisions about which products would work best for our skins . I just ordered the la Roche Posey cleanser, and so exited to try it out 💚💚🌸🌸😍😍
That Aveeno cleanser is my number one. La Roche I needed to finish on my body. I'm relatively balanced and that cleanser burned so much. I assumed it was the niacinamide?? Anyway Aveeno is just amazing
I literally just tried the LA Roche Posay. I have normal skin and heard good things about it. It felt like something was burning on my skin. I never felt that before. I’m returning it tomorrow.
Same here, i’d suggest you try the whole Aveeno Calm&Restore range (cleanser, serum & gel moisturizer), they literally saved my sensitive+dry+acne prone skin.
