Viseart Amethyst Theory is an awesome purple palette. It's effortless. I thought I was the only one who wasn't that impressed with Colourpop shimmers. A great way to amp them up is put a similarly toned neutral supershock shadow underneath. The whole Coconut collection is perfect for that. Thanks for the vid as always!
BTW, have you ever read “When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple” by J. Joseph? It’s wonderful-it’s one of my mom’s favorites. It starts: "When I am an old woman I shall wear purple/With a red hat that doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me...”
I love that famous line, I’m already getting in to the old lady zone & I wear loads of colour in clothes & makeup now, whereas I spent all my younger decades in black & beige,& I love the way I look now, so I guess I’m living the dream😂😂😂
My favorite monochromatic purple palette is still the Viseart Amethyst Theory palette. It’s the perfect purple palette with everything you need for a full eye look.
purple is my favorite I was so excited to see you posted this! I have majority of the palettes you mentioned and I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of ace beautes formula. I found their shimmers to be really dull and mattes just were hard to work with. the violet ink palette is so buttery and I think those periwinkle colors are so unique
Loved seeing all the purples all together. I'm one of the older girls who enjoys wearing bright colors. But blue toned purples look hideous on me so warm toned purples it is😁 I really like the look you have on❤
I choose the MoonSpell palette, that matte purple and the first shimmery one are so unique. I have so many purples eyeshadows since it's one of my favorite colours yet not one exclusively purple palette. I wanted to buy the Morphe one but I didn't because I know I wouldn't use such a huge palette more than a couple of times no matter how much I liked its shadows. I've never bought big palettes in my entire life, the only exceptions are the Zodiac palette by BH and the Bright Mattes by Beautybay.

Really like this series. Beautiful purple palettes! Purples are an easy intro into colorful shadows, non-makeup people seem to accept them more than blue shadows. It’ll be fun to see the next segment in this series. 😻💙💙
Another good pop of purple is the Magic mini by Juvia's. Yes there are a LOT of shades there, but I find the purple ones to be very pretty and the deep shades performs better for me than the one in the Violets. There are also amazing matte purples in the Zodiac by bh cosmetics! I bought that palette specifically for them and I don't regret it 😁
I was pretty surprised by the Morphe 39s. When you look at the layout in quadrants, it doesn't seem so overwhelming! As you know, I'm OLD!😂😂😂 I'm wearing more colorful eye looks (directly attributable to you, Karen, and Angelica), and I don't see myself ever going back to brown. The looks I'm doing are not garish, are well blended and well suited to my eye shape. And, frankly, I don't care what anybody thinks!😁

My first purple palette was Lila, I’ve since also gotten the Juvia’s Place Violet palette and also the ND 28 purple blue palette, and I love purple eyeshadows, but I do love the elegance of ND’s eyeshadow formula. I also have to say I bought many indie brands single eyeshadows in various tones of purple and I’m 38, I love using color in my daily makeup. And I’m planning on Pat McGrath’s third mothership palette, subversive for those pinky purple shades.
The Beauty Crop has a purple palette ... I wouldn’t recommend it. BH’s original Zodiac has a purple section and it’s pretty decent. The MiniBreaker is a great purple/Halloween/fall palette. Too bad Kaliedoes doesn’t have any purples ... I don’t really have a favorite - it really depends on my mood. I ended up using Such A Gem the other day because it was the only palette that had the colors I wanted and I have a thing about using multiple palettes for a look.
This was great! I’ve been waiting for this video and it was worth the wait. Purple eyeshadow is my favorite. I love the way it makes my hazel eyes pop 💜 definitely going to be getting the lilac you a lot palette to add to my collection 😊
I'm most interested in the Sweet Violet and the Lilac You A Lot palettes because they both seem to have a good mixture of warm and cool purples, whereas most other palettes tend to lean one way or another to become too berry or indigo instead of true purple. I also think they might complement each other well, since Lilac You A Lot can provide the lighter purples that Sweet Violet lacks.
My favorites are Juvia's Place The Violets & Nubian Royal. I also enjoy I Heart Revolution Violet Chocolate & Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Bling Boss for a *purple leaning* palette. I love that Lime Crime Venus iii as well. I have She Glam Rhapsody which is a dupe of the Huda Purple Pastel too but I've not tried it yet.
The Viseart Liaison palette is my favorite purple palette but I have the Paradise Fallen, and Violet Ink palettes to. I find the latter two amazing but almost too pigmented. I barely touch the palette with my brush and I have enough shadow for the whole eye. My Liaison palette is perfect. The Viseart formula is tied with Lorac for my favorite eye shadow formula.

My favorite is also the Lilac you a lot. I also enjoy it’s My Pleasure. I am older and also love the Lila pallet. Juvia’s place The violets and the two purples in the Magic Mini are beautiful too. Also love the Pink/Purple Natasha Denona Love pallet. Like I said I am older, but I have mauve streaks in my hair and, pretty much retired at this point due to Covid. I am too high risk and spent my career in ER and ICU, so, by the time this will all be over, hopefully, I will be retirement age anyway. So, at this point I don’t have to look professional, and can do as I please with hair and makeup. Love purple and it’s my favorite color to wear as well. Great video!!
I'm so excited to get Juvia's Place The Violets (it was on sale at Ulta this week for $8.40, which is ridiculously affordable)--I have several purple palettes, but purple is my favorite color to wear on my eyes, so I feel like it's okay that I own several monochromatic purple palettes. Haha. I mean, how many people own 10+ all neutral palettes? A TON. Purple is my neutral. ;) (I already own Lilac You A Lot, It's My Pleasure, a Norvina dupe, and Marvelous Mauves--which I like to pair with purple shadows.)
Yes I've been waiting for a battle of the purples! My go tos are purples and pinks. I try blues and greens but they just never look as good on me as pinks and purples
kyeoptawerk93 Same. Murky greens or mint - cool-toned greens... I can wear icy -toned splashes of blues or a navy liner, but I haven’t found a flattering way to do an all blue look. I end up Looking like that lady on the Drew Carey show. 😳🤷🏾♀️🙄
Purple & green are my favourite eyeshadow colours, but I much prefer cool toned purples which are harder to find, I’ve lusted for the violet ink, but the shipping to the uk is awful, one of my favourite palettes of all time is the purple/ green palette by Blushtribe, the purples in that one are gorgeous xx
Purple is my favorite color and for some reason I think the only full on purple palette I own is the Viseart Amethyst palette (got it on sale, as per usual lol) and that's more of what you call a more mature or grown up purple. I want more purple palettes right now 😤🤣
Just ordered the Juvia's Place violet palette last night! I decided to get rid of my js blood lust palette and wanted to replace it with some indie brands. Also wanting to grab the menagerie cosmetics one, just because I am obsessed with all of their packaging.

Not all purple by any means, but I love the purples in my too faced sweet peach and boudoir eyes palettes. I’m interested about the lottie London 9 pans too. Two of them have lots of purple I’d love to try. My clover palette also has a few purple type colors that are pretty. My ND 5 pan palette is the most purple. I think it’s #2? It’s beautiful. I want more “grown up” purple lol
I love the selection of palettes wonderfully executed and well very comprehensive. I think you covered most of them that are available in the market. I am also a massive PURPLE colour addict too .💜
I love purple eyeshadows. Most of my palettes only have pops of purple. One I'm planning on picking up is the Profusion cosmetics the violets palette. Its out of stock on Walmart.com and the profusion website so I will have to wait. I'll probably pick up the emeralds palette at the same time. After purple green is my next favorite eyeshadow color.
I love purples, great video! Watching this I still think that Violet Ink is the palette for me, although I totally agree that if it had been 8 or 9 shades to bring in an inner-corner frosty duochrome and a deepening shade.... well then I'd already own it?
I love the two Colourpop 9 pans you mentioned. Also the ND Lila, Juvia’s Place The Violets, the purples in Magic Mini, Viseart Theory Amethyst, Viseart Liason. Also like the purples in the OG BH Zodiac pallet. The purples in the ND Love pallet. For super high end, love the Pat McGrath Vie en Rose. Love that song too, especially in French!!
It's amazing how many of these pallets I own. Lilac You A Lot is my favorite. But I also live in Colored Rain Queen of Hearts as my Grown Up purple pallet.
My 2 favorite purple monochromatic palettes💜 are The Viseart Amethyst Theory 6 pan palette & the Amethyst Obsession 9 pan palette. I often use them together. I bought the Viseart first & at the time I was just getting back into eyeshadow & not very comfortable wearing shimmers. The shimmers in this palette are more "satin" so that is why I often bring in the shimmers from the Obsession palette or use my duochrome singles from my custom purple palettte now that I love blingy shimmers. I do really love the deep matte purple in that Viseart palette as well as the matte highlight & transition shade & I think as far as having a good Light, Med & Dark selection of purples, it is probably the best curated. Most purple palettes miss the mark as far as variety of depth & everything ends up being in the medium darkish range with the color leaning more red or more blue. Those tones in shimmers are usually too dark for me to use as an all over lid shade without a lighter highlight shade. Pale girl problems 😁 I think if you bought the Viseart Amethyst Theory palette & then picked up a couple duochrome or multichrome purples from an Indie Brand & curated your own palette ( Viseart shadows all come in a magnetic palette with removable pans) you'd be all set. Everyone's idea of what is actually Purple seems to be different 👀 If you like Colour Pops formula, just get It's My Pleasure & I Lilac You Alot...

I have the colourpop its my pleasure pallet and im not crazy about the shimmers- i think the mattes are fine.. i was looking at buying the lilac you alot pallet but i keep trying their shimmers and not liking them for whatever reason..they dont seem to last on my eyes no matter what base i use
I have the Blood Lust palette from JSC and I adore it. When I want to up the deep purple ante I just pull in the purple from his Alien palette. It’s funny coz I find him incredibly irritating and eye rolling to watch, but his company sure does make good eyeshadows.
Villanelle Interesting! I’ve only seen part of one video and he was bragging about how rich he was and I got a little bored and moved along. I haven’t ever tried his products.
Hi Amy.. I know alot of ppl aren't fund of Morphe.. but they have a purple palette call 35P.. no one speaks of and it's great. I would have loved if you compared the Menagerie eyeshadow palette to the Juvias. No one has swatch them side by side.

That Juvias place violets is just gorgeous. Something about the tones makes me so happy 🤣 I’m not a huge purple fan but that palette and the Natasha Lila palette got me into it! 💜 oh and Norvina (the abh one not norvina line) and Huda amethyst. Beautiful.
I have the ColourPop purple palette. I’m not sure if I’ve used it 😂 I’m going to try a purple look tomorrow I have to go to the pharmacy or I wouldn’t be going anywhere. I wear a mask and gloves but my eyeshadow can still be seen 😂🤣
Amy Loves Makeup I’m alright I think. I have a really bad sore throat and my ears hurt pretty bad too. I called my dr and let her know what’s going on and said I’m not going to the office. I don't want to be insensitive at all but I did by the Alma palette and I heard something about a bit of trouble with the brand but I did buy it and am kinda curious if I should declutter it or what's going on with that, Love and Support you all the way kinda why I'm asking.

I was actually surprised how much I liked that peachy shimmer in the sweet violets. On my skintone it sort of just shows up as a clear base with silver sparkles and it's so pretty!
