This world definitely needs a reboot! 🙏🙏🙏Some people may not agree with me but once they took prayers out of the school things have been going downhill. I love Open Gate and really enjoy the pleasure you get out of opening her boxes! If I could do one subscription, that would be the one I would buy! ❤❤❤

Love the fabric colors and patterns in this Open GATE box. I am usually drawn to vibrant, bright fabrics. But, have been drawn to the fall colors and natural tones for some time now. I give this box a 5 as well. ❤

Open Gate gets a total 5 from me! I love love love fall palettes. This is beautiful and I love the projects. You're right, that FQ pattern is really good! I'm a press to the dark side person. I find my seams get kind of wobbly when I try and press open. I'll follow pattern directions though.

I love the Open Gate box. It always contains nice fabric and projects. I give it a 4.5. My general favorite way to press seams is open to reduce bulk.

I've made dozens of bowl cozies and just a note that it isn't only the cotton fabric and batting that has to be microwavable, but the thread you use too. I tend to use Gutermann poly thread so mine are not microwaveable. I use Acorn seam press pen for absolutely flat seams, and press to the dark side unless I have several seams come together - then I press seams open. Open gate has such amazing boxes, whomever wins this one is very lucky!

oh we used to go to the orchard to get pumpkin sugar donuts! just unbelievable that a gun is pulled after the GA shooting! so glad you opened a beautiful box! give it a 10 ( 5 plus) . what a beautiful box… way to go open GATE!… i press to the dark side unless the pattern says differently

Open gate! What a wonderful box, Maywood studio is tied with Moda as my favorite fabric manufacturer. I prefer "fall" fabric/projects vs. Halloween and Thanksgiving, as I am not good at changing out decor frequently. I prefer to press to one side, but have started to press open more often lately, when bulk or shadowing may be an issue. Even though Open Gate came in 5th last month, if you look at the scores, most boxes had very close numbers. I think your selection of subscription boxes has been culled to show the best out there-thanks!

OMG, that Open Gate box has my name all over it! Fall has always been my favorite time of the year, the colors of Fall 🍁🍁 are just so gorgeous. Definitely that box is a 5. Being a long time clothing sewer, I can’t help but press seams open even with quilting. I straight line or serpentine stitch my quilts on my machine to make sure my quilting seams stay in place.

gate. Beautiful fabric! I iron on the wrong side first, then flip it and press quickly on the right side. Why? I don’t know, I just do! Love the moment of Zen with Dandelion sporting dandelions!❤️ Prayers to all affected by gun violence and those that live with that fear. I’m so glad my children never had to experience this horrible situation. I don’t know how they cope.

I love this open gate box! Its a 5/5 for me. I press most times to the dark side, but with FPP I usually press the seams open. Ohhh silly Dandelion, so beautiful!!

I love that fabric! Open Gate fabric looks so cozy this month. I have thoughts of sitting down with a warm cup of spice cider when I look at that fabric. On another note, I’m sorry your high school community has gone through this scary event. Our children should not have to go through this day in and day out. Having started my sewing career as a garment sewer it took quite an effort to retrain my brain to press to the dark. Now the current wisdom is to press open. Eh. I do what the pattern calls for now.

Hi Holly. Another great box from Open G. I give it a 5. I always press to the dark side because it makes sense that you don't want a shadow on your light colored fabric. 5. Open GATE seams to always be well curated and worth the price. I have never had a subscription to their box. I press to the dark unless there are small pieces or bulky seams. ❤ Dandelion!

Gate! Lover this one. Fall has the best colors! Give this box a 5. Depends on what I am making. I usually press open. If I have to match seams, I press to the dark so they fit into each other when stitching the rows together. Dandelion was really cute with her flowers in her hair. 😊

Dandelion is so cute! I love the open gate box! I've made bowl cozies before. Anyone making them should be sure to use all cotton fabric, cotton batting without scrim and cotton thread. As for pressing seams, if pattern has directions I try to follow them, otherwise I press to the dark side but press open if I'm in a spot where alot of seams meet and it's bulky. I give the open gate box a 5 all around!

I love, love that box! It love the fabric and the fact that it’s fall themed not really Halloween and you could display it all the way through Thanksgiving! The Open Gate box is one I always look forward to seeing you open! I usually press my seams to the dark fabric but occasionally when I have a lot of seams meeting, I will press open to reduce some of the bulk! Sending positive thoughts and energy to those who have been involved with or are struggling with recent events!😊

I give that a 5. I love that I got some of her fabric line in my box. That needle minder looked like one of her pumpkins in her fabric line. I loved my box. I press to the dark side unless instructed otherwise. Pressing to the side is also supposed to help prevent the batting from coming through the seams.

I love Open Gate boxes! They are always lovely. My heart aches for parents will school-age children. I have 7 grandchildren, 5 of which are in school, and it terrifies me every time I see another school shooting. Hugs and love.

Open GATEb is a 5 for me. It appears that so much time is taken to make the box special every month. Most times I press to the dark side but if its a smaller project I press open. TFS Sending prayers to all the parents of children in public schools. The threat is overwhelming and as a mother of a child who went through the VA Tech shootings it's beyond anything a parent should go through.

We had a shooting right after a football game at a nearby high school about 10 days ago. A 15 yo shot 5 other young people, 1 of whom died. It happened a block from the school so it isn’t considered a school shooting and isn’t getting much news coverage. It is hard to fathom that so many young people are so injured that this is an option for them. Open Gate is always so amazing! I also give it a 5. Beautiful fabrics and fun projects. I usually press to the dark side unless the pattern indicates otherwise. I am starting to press open more though so that it will be flatter.

Open Gate box is fabulous. I would give this box a 5. Praying for this world to find calm. I press open my seams, it makes a flatter block. With clappers my blocks get flatter.
