I love how the top battle rappers truly respect Em. They hear his bars for what they are, battle bars, double/triple/quadruple and beyond entendres, they actually KNOW his lyrics. I really like that.
The fact that they spend all this time and energy on Eminem, says it all. The way I see it some of the biggest rappers aren't smart enough to understand the complexities of Eminem. It's like ever artist and I'm not just talking about rappers I'm talking about every kind of music it's all one or two dimensional and Eminem is like five dimensional I have to listen to it over and over to unwrap it and decipher it. I've literally never had to do that with anybody else. The song gets better and better the more you hear it and the more you understand it .I know Eminem sits back and laughs because we're probably saying stupid things thinking we know what he's saying, he's the only one that knows what he's saying. Just like other savants like Mozart maybe even a van Gogh and Edgar Allan Poe, Eminem will be more famous when he is gone, when intellectuals unravel, understand and start teaching the genius he really is, what he was able to do and accomplish, he is a savant.
@@Ibonic yeah, I thought that was a love tap, little slap on the cheek. Could of went Sauce, nail in the coffin, go to sleep, or bully. Instead he went bombs over Baghdad or square dance. Just tapped him up. Let machine gun know we can do this if you want to, wont end well for you son. There is proof machine gun kelly has a bit of this brain left. He did 1 diss and said im out. No follow up, no second diss. Ran to Charlemagne and promoted his new CD and then get real quite like.
@@michealmcneal2259lol kinda. He did a diss, released a CD and ran promo to capitalize on it... the problem was that the binge EP sucked and then he kinda fell apart ... now he's doing rock... and kinda disappeared off radar of making anything resembling a hit CD like Bloom or EST; if you ask me, MGK kinda was disintegrated by Eminem... And it caused MGK to reevaluate his life.... like... he turned into a completely different person. 😂
When people’s with they own successful battle careers are having whole ass meetings talking about him lol It would be different if this was just homey’s, but pretty much everyone in that room is an established rap warrior, and hearing them either outright or begrudgingly admit Eminem is at the least their equal is satisfying to witness.
@@aeringothyk5445 that's true Hommie...but not just battle rappers almost everyone around the world who knows rap music or listen to it (even in their native language) ,they would definitely be familiar with Eminem s career ...dude is the most talked about rappers in every asian country......he's hated just because he's white... imagine em to be black , he would have been considered god tier right at the moment he killed jay z on renegade song
"she said machine washed me but she listens to Tekashi"........y'all better chill. God listens to everything you say. And in this case, the Rap God was listening
“She think machine washed me, man her favorite rapper wish he’d cross me” Em doesn’t give a fuck man, he crushed MGK so bad he dropped a mic and bars and picked up a guitar and a singing voice lol
Exactly.. That's how I feel abt Ja rules 50 cent diss clap back.. It has super catchy hook n beat.. But saying ja won against 50, Eminem and busta.. Would be delusional
@@minusdagreez8817 I think Ja did better then MGK all MGK did was really praising Em and saying he was old multiple times but lil did he know Ja would end up in No Life Shaq toilet 🚽 😂
@@patrick123_ in a sense ..ja had better songs but only one good diss ..mgk rap devil is actually really good as in disses go but going up against em your gnna lose
No lie bruh, I love Ms Fit but, she fucked me up when she said MGK won...Killshot was a masterpiece and it was LITERALLY constructed like a battle rap round. Rebuttals, angles, BARZ, aggressiveness etc
so you see, someone way wiser than me once said, The reason MGK Diss on Eminem is Rapdevil because Em was Rapgod , its makes sense that Em give MGK a career to destroy it
Mgk had a hook because he was trying to sell records. Diss tracks are not supposed to sound like that. What Em did was a classic diss track. It ain't supposed to have 4 choruses and 2 bridges lmao
Em's past disses had chorus too.. But he did in a way like he was talking directly at you. Plus those feuds weren't very personal. W mgk it was n he responded to every line to his on rap devil hence no chorus bcuz why waste any space on the paper? Mgk sounded like a petty ex gf.. Same description by Eminem as well
@@naenae9747 very few lines.. But overall it was ass.. For me I thought "this is all u could come with? Beard is weird n Age tauntings" And ofc that auto tuned bridge n complimenting him.. It was more like a Stan the sequel
"I wanted eminem to son mgk" eminem on killshot : "Stan, stan, son, listen, dad isn't mad" she did not listen to killshot or was hella high when she did
Snitching is now cool -tekashi and people respect this dude . Lol shura been dropped but that’s how u know this new Gen of gangs aint shit lol “pussies soft like wet flowers” lol
Eminem can battle rap from his wheelchair when he's freaking 80yrs old, and still out rap most!! Correction All. 🐐 🔥 20, 30.48, or 98 Eminem will always be the RAP-GOD! Long Live The King!
I didn't fully appreciate killshot until I watched someone break everything down. I still thought Em won before that from what I did catch though. I don't see how you can expect him to take MGK that seriously.
Exactly! Em literally had to rebuttal EVERYTHING MGK said because there is literally NOTHING you can say about MGK cuz he doesn't have that spotlight Em does and Em don't even BE in the spotlight like that. MGK had the chance to do ALL the research possible. He decided it was cool to do short and old man jokes and thats IT. Literally only had 2 lines at most where he played with Em's album names and whatnot that was good but it wasn't ENOUGH. Muthafuckas REALLY out here thinking he DIDN'T rebuttal all of MGK shit. Beard is weird = Manbun. You scared to ask Rihana for her number = Last night I left hickies on her neck. Last time you saw 8 Mile was on a treadmill = Was watching 8 Mile on my Nordic Track. Shall I continue? MGK Fanbois are DELUUUUUUSIONAAAAAAAL 😂👌🏼
I love watching people bigup and give others props with respect. Positivity outweighs negativity every time! keep up the good work SK. Also think about how hard people was going at em at the time when he was "Battle Rapping" for the time period.
The reason why it’ll be tougher is bc the crowd will be too stupid to understand what em is rapping about. The battle rap scene has been dumbed down with the things they spit
I think Em could dumb it down and still land punches. I haven't watched battle rap in a while, I just don't have the time, but there is still a lot of complex schemes from certain battle rappers.
@@toracabey93 And to be fair, Em came from a time where battle raps were freestyle off the top, and performed very well in an environment that was bias against him. Now a days you come prepared with writtens, I think he would do very well. Also he's not afraid to do a "freestyle" with no beat, unlike most mainstream rappers that need a beat. But in regards to what you said, I love when the crowd is actually on it, and actually catching complex punchlines.
How much did babygirl have to drink!????? She thinks "your beard is weird" was fire!??? Eminem is the one who said "Ho chill acting like you'll chrome barrel to my bone marrow, gunna? bitch you ain't a bow and arrow"
"Cause he knows long as I am Shady he's gonna live in my shadow" "Killshot, I'll not fail, I am with the Doc still, but this idiot boss pops pills and tells him he's got skills, but Kells, the day you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits he put the hit out that got Pac killed" The flow on the Lil Tay line and the Stan callback was dope asf too. I love Killshot.
Yeah she's weird. Like she wanted Em to tell MGK that he is his son? Has she even listened to killshot? I'd rather be 80 year old me then 20 year old you? Among many, many heavy hitting lines...smh some people
I don't like Killshot much. It's a bit lackluster, which could be seen as intentional. So I get in a way what she's saying - there could have been a much harder, more crushing diss if Eminem had put more effort and time into it. Same goes for MGK, though - Rap Devil was just ... weak. Showed a lack of effort and wasn't even that pleasing, sonically. (I think it's trashy, to be honest, but some people like the kind of beat) So it was an appropriate response, but I get why she wished it would have been harder. Why she thinks MGK WON, though, that's completely over my head. 'Won' in the sense that he was able to walk away? 'Won' in the sense that he got what he wanted: attention? If so, I could understand but that's not what she was saying, so ... yeah.
She said she wanted Eminem to son him and tell to shut up and sit down. Did she not understand the bars at all. He did that, responded to everything, and insulted him so hard Diddy caught a backhand in the crossfire .
All I know is Eminem gets obsessive about anything he does musically. His passion seems to be unmatched. Give Eminem a year to practice battle rap again and I don’t see how he wouldn’t be one of the greats, or the G.O.A.T
@@wrld-lain1629 "haven't used all the tricks I have, so like my balls I'm in my bag" When I heard that for the first time I genuinely paused and said aww damn lol I guarantee you he has some hidden goodies. I still think too this day he has saved alot of flows, cadences, ideas etc for when someone notible comes for him. People need to stop sleeping on this man. ✌️
A year? For what? He wouldn’t be the best if he needs that long to rap battle a dude for a few minutes. Come on, man. When the brainstorming goes off and shit starts to fall into the right places, it’s over. That’s all that needs to happen.
They sound like when my family gets together everyone competes to talk over each other and have multiple conversations and every one of us follows everyone talking and it blows outsiders' minds. lol
He's literally 1,000s of times better, more famous, richer and more talented than any shitty mumble rapper you listen to and no amount of you crying on RU-vid will ever change that.
Battle rap of today is more deadly than way back and very serious em can't just jump in and become the best in it he has to do alot of home work period.
@@ayereebegbare1157 are you joking.. He's probably been keeping up on it he is very obsessed when it comes to rap. Plus most battle rap these days is written not freestyled so em wouldn't take long to get back into it and that's assuming he hasn't already been on it...
@@ayereebegbare1157 Eminem is goat and also with great work ethic. So in 4-6 months max, if he really is out of the scene completely, he would be in top league.
@@ayereebegbare1157 then I think you misunderestimate a man and his addiction. I bet you any money em follows the battle rap scene and could easily compete.
What surprised me is at 7:26 when they told Mook to be on the next diss track how quick his face changed and said NO. That caught me off. That's straight respect.
I remember watching Math and Iron Solomon battling ages ago. Mook battling in a damn clothing store somewhere. The fact is they KNOW that if Eminem gets on your ass, you're DONE. He was the reason battle rap got as big as it did. 8 Mile put a spotlight on that culture in a way that never happened before. Eminem didn't just come from that culture, he elevated it. Battle rap nowadays isn't even about off-the-dome raps like it used to be (some exceptions like Dizaster being coked out of his mind all the time), so most of it's pre-written with some rebuttals improvised. Can you imagine the damage Eminem could do to a battle opponent that he had weeks to prepare for? WHO WRITES BETTER THAN EMINEM? Nobody. He would come in and absolutely demolish every single battle rapper in a standard 3 round battle of pre-writtens. If it was straight up freestyle, don't know your opponent til you get there - then maybe he loses to some of the greats, but that's not even a given since that's the battle rap Eminem came up in. He made his name, his reputation off freestyle battle raps. You think that because he's bigger now that he's somehow gotten worse? He's a walking dictionary. If anything, he's even more terrifying now. He's had more practice, has a bigger vocabulary, can murder you on just his acapella cadence alone. Part of me wishes that Em would go into battles again just to shut up all the doubters, but I get why he doesn't. He has nothing to gain, nothing to prove. People are going to hate regardless, so why go through all that trouble for just pride? Em is more mature now, settled in. He doesn't have anything left to do but enjoy his life and make the music that he loves.
Ok we're not going to credit Eminem with the success of battle rap tho. Em shed a big light on old school battle rap, and thats amazing. But battle rap today is not big because of Eminem, battle rap is a completely different sport now.
@@trtk1ng Explain to me how that is "facts". Do you even watch battle rap, do you know anything about SMACK dvds? This is the problem with you stans, you think the world/hip hop revolves around Em. He put a spotlight on old school battle rap cinematically, that's awesome...but he is not the reason battle rap is big today.
@@vvemomusic5543 lmao first thing people do is the “Stan” argument. No, I give props where props are due. Saying hip hop REVOLVES around Eminem is inaccurate. But to minimize his impact and reach is asinine. Objectively, he’s the GOAT. Subjectively....he’s the GOAT. Until someone steps up and takes it from him. People who cared about battle rap were those who competed and those who watched. Battle rap not getting where it is today without 8 mile and the spotlight he put on the culture, as a result of the movie AND a result that he came up battle rapping. Nobody had made that jump from battle rapping to the labels and done it as big, then or since. Most battle rappers are just that, battle rappers.
Everything Eminem has done still blows my mind trying to comprehend sometimes, his legend always sound like folklore in rap music. The diamond records, continued records broken, the song he won an Oscar for he performed 17 years later at the Oscars, EMpire state building takeover, made "stan" a new word in the dictionary, charting with suprise albums, everything. Truly a goat we are lucky to be alive to see still killing it.
True, you don't usually get complexity in rap music. Royce is the only other one close. Kendrick and jcole(a very good friend of mine, taught me alot about the industry) is very good just not much to break down. Eminem a 5 minute song can take an hour or so to properly break down. Shout out to Knox hill, script work and of course Stevie
@AquaLion GG mook is pretty much the GOAT in battle rap I agree, it just pisses me off in general when you get benzino, lord jamar or some new rapper to the game, they feel like they have to diss eminem to get the spotlight for a week or so.
When you judge anyone that goes up against Eminem you aren't judging him in contrast to Eminem....you say aight that was good for Him in contrast to his previous work and not in relation to how much better it is than Eminem shit. It wouldn't even come close. That was good for Mgk but in relation to Em that shit was cute.
@@ayereebegbare1157 i get that she's a battle rapper a great one but for such a great rapper u would be able to get those bars more unlike a normal person right?
Eminem is master of the double, triple, and quadruple entendre. Mgk is all surface level. No depth to him. He is 2d in a 4d world. In a world of lyricism.. we letting the high school jock who writes shitty poetry for his gf be famous and try to make music.
No, MGK has lyricism. He's actually an objectively good lyricist. Objectively good lyricists don't hold a candle to Em or anyone in his calibre or slightly below his calibre though.
Funny when he mentioned Rap God track being a challenge to everybody in the game cause it’s so true! Even the very last line of that track was ( why be a king when you can be a god ) and that was back in 2012 around the time of T.I claiming he was the king of Rap and it was a shot at him as well
Exactly pretty much all the battle rap competitions are planned weeks in advance and prepped for. They are putting on a show these days so the preparation is necessary. And eminem is a master at lyrical preparation and such so he would do great
shane shannon Tay Roc, Rum Nitty, K Shine, Pat Stay, etc. I think lyrically Em is better than all of them but in this day and age that shit doesn’t matter as much on that big stage unfortunately. If Eminem came to battle head probably have his own little event set up just for him so the crowd would probably be catered to him but if he went to a URL event he’d have a harder time winning over that crowd because Eminem’s style isn’t that crowds style. He’d do best at a KOTD event
I’m pretty sure Em watches battle rap and follows closely everything hip hop related. Not saying he would wash every battle rapper but he could do serious harm.
@@toxiczebra5920 Lux? Rum Nitty? A serious Hollow or Daylyt? A focused Iron Solomon, JC, or Mook? Because all of these dudes will come serious and focused. I'm not saying they'll win, but they will put up a great fight against Em. Shit, they have a good chance to win too. Their pens are insane.
He’s been calling out the rap game for quite a while but nobody says shit on wax. It’s so funny when haters talk their „he just battled Popstars“ bullshit. He’s at the the top for over 20 years now and made it perfect clear he wants all the smoke...but MC‘s are so quiet you can hear a fuckin dog whistle when he walks by. That’s all I need to know, to know that they know 💀
@@KevAction personally I think it'll never happen cause hes gotten so bored with it, theres no challenge. Even his so called shitty songs come out bangers. I think he only keeps doing what he does because why would you change from something you're the best at and start over at zero? I've tried thinking on who could give him a challenge and though some might come close, he would blend them up and drink their souls.
Seeing stevie showing more and more respect for eminem with each passing video. May not be his type of rap, but it certainly aint something he dislikes!
