The animation on all might transforming was even better and made the episode perfect in my eyes. What’s y’all’s favorite moment of the season, mine is obviously AFO vs Armored All Might.
Fun fact: in the Manga it’s stated that All Might hardly spends the money he earned over the years on himself. So he spent most or all of his entire fortune on getting his armored suit made. They also said it was a rush job, so it’s a prototype and was also not properly tested yet. All Might also doesn’t really talk trash to his villains much, so in this fight he’s really trying to insult AFO enough for him to draw all his attention onto him. Also yes, this season so far is certainly one of the best seasons of the series. Animation and direction felt like seasons 1,2,3 and 4 again. Even though the 6th one was also still really good. And the characters, story, development, pacing and such was peak this season. Great seeing the return of the G.O.A.T, All Might coming back to put AFO back in his pack. Great season all around

I just wanna point out that the story states that this fight started 20 minutes before the twice clones vanished. That means Tsukauchi was watching All might vs AFO, the Toga twice army, and Dabi's explosion all at the same time
@@makeda6530 Toshinori was 14 when he was given OFA, so right about when he entered highschool; He was 16- 17 when Nana died, and 18 when he fled to America; He attended University in California, that's where he met David shield, this is referenced in the first movie when David tells Allmight to hurry up or they'll be late for their next lecture. There's actually so much info in the guidebooks and Author notes it's ridiculous.
The thing with Nagant and Gentle being in the OP wasn't actually a spoiler, they added it in the episode after they appeared. It's actually pretty cool that this is the first time we've had an MHA opening that's changed!
@@azenar1894 Fair, but in an odd sort of way that seems borderline. Like it really was a completely different third opening that was just riffing on the heroes to make a point. To quote a book I can't quite remember "I'm not saying it's the absolute truth of reality, but I'd argue it over a beer".
The tragic truth about Toga is that she could have become a great medical hero, had she just been given a chance. Had she been loved and able to love in respond, her quirk would allow her to become a universal blood donor in emergencies. She's such a tragic, beautiful character.
@@streamgod3748 We’re talking about anime not IRL. And regardless of whether people can give blood will stay the same, but she can still help people. And that’s what her quirk is perfect for.
Never thought about that possibility! I thought she might have been an amaizing actress. No makeup requires, she can be whoeevr you need! Hell, she could do a movie all by herself! All it goes to show that Toga's options where theoretically unlimited. If she had recieved care and love, there would have been so much she could have done.
All Might was always a Quirkless hero. Before, he wore One for All as his armor, and now he uses this. He's still the symbol of peace, with all the experience that comes with it.
Or how diabolical you have to be to mock All Might through this whole episode, like these three clowns did. "It's already over in 10 seconds", "Looks like spring trap!", " Eww", "Go home! Go home!". I used to like them, but that was disgusting.
@luizmarinho6138 Alright bro, calm down. They're reactors bro. Saying you find them disgusting becuase they want to send the QUIRKLESS man away from the guy who calls himself the demon lord and has damn near a hundred quirks shown is crazy.
Not enough people talking about how tragic it is Toga using her quirk to save Uraraka and showing that if her parents and society didn't shun her for her quirk, just how much she could have contributed to society, not even as a hero but as a nurse- imagine all the people she could have saved just by transforming into them to give the perfect type of blood transfusion. Society failed her hella hard
Her parents failed her the hardest. It's not hard to understand where they were coming from. You come home to your kid sucking the blood from a bird, or hear that she sucked her classmate's blood in school, and what is the natural reaction? But they could have tried harder instead of just be terrified of their own child. They could have tried harder, even if it is understandable on some level why they didn't. They still failed her the hardest. Society is gonna be society, but your parents are supposed to be your bedrock.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 If it were our society yeah that would be weird. But in a quirk society where 80% of the population has weird powers and shit? They really should have reacted better to that
@snakeboy1912 but also remember that Japanese society has a lot more superstitions involving blood. Stain's ability is even based on that. And it doesn't seem like very many quirks involve blood to begin with. Plus, even in this superhuman society, many quirks are still shunned. Heteromorphs, for example, are ostracized. Quirkless people are treated as lesser. Shinso's brainwashing was treated as a villain quirk, despite him only wanting to use it for good. Just because it's a quirk filled society, doesn't mean people can't still have prejudices and whatnot surrounding the quirks. After all, not all quirks are created equal, and therefore they will not be treated as equal. The tragedy of toga is that her quirk didn't doom her to villainy. In previous seasons, I myself believed that. She had a chance to be good. She demonstrated that in the end, that she had the capacity to do good with her quirk. That's the tragedy here with a lot of the villains. Many of them are far less redeemable than toga. Dabi wants to kill his family to the bitter end and shiggy still wants to kill the entire world as vengeance. But that doesn't mean that these people couldn't have been good people of given a different chance early on.
Bro hella hard because if she was more gentle and a hero she could’ve most definitely found a less painful way to take hero’s blood so that she can help with blood transfusions if they needed it after injuries in big battles like this one. Not one person would die if it meant losing blood cause she could’ve saved them.
9:01 have you only just noticed this? A lot of places in this series are named after Star Wars references e.g. Dagobah beach where they trained at the start of the series, Kamino where All Might and AFO fought in season 3, Nabu island where they had the 2nd movie etc
Also, that location in the episode is where the series started, when middle school Izuku was watching Death Arms, Backdraft, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady vs. a criminal.
Jaku in Season 6, Hosu where stain fights is Hoth, Mustafar-like place they mention as well, also Gran Torino is similar to Yoda, and AFO to Darth vader.
All Might literally getting his bones powdered and still like, "You ain't shit!" Is fucking hilarious. Also, the couple of frames of AFO getting absolutely smoked by a boot in the face makes me laugh every time I see it.
All might had one for all for YEARS it was mentioned when the vestiges said he had it the longest and how he was better to handle it for being quirkless. Also, Nana is literally a grandmother to a grown 20 year old and Toshinori was a high schooler with her as his mentor, kinda just have to assume and do the math there
There was one scene when deku was in a coma talking the the past users that they mentioned all might had one for all for 40 years. Couple that with him getting it at like 15 like deku. I think that was the only other time where they kinda gave away his age.
11:45 Shiggy could have easily been a rescue hero! Imagine an earthquake and people trapped under debris. Poof debris gone, people rescued. Or he could have made a million selling TNT-less TNT service. Or he could have been on a battlefield, there for quick amputations, worked great for Overhaul. He also has such a good control now, that he could just make the ground under an enemy or his cloth decay.
@RJ-8- nope shiggy can chose what to decay. Look at X-Less cape. He decayed X-Les but not his cape, cause he wanted to wear it. He used to not have control before season 5 (even though he was still able to destroy UAs barrier partially and leave the rest intact in season 1) Shiggy even said "i have full control now'
@@annaavertho4944 right. Ngl I never really paid much attention to the way shiggy’s quirk works anymore, especially when reading the manga, with all the intricacies. So many things happen at once I just ended up forgetting
Himiko Toga. It's unfortunate that everyone forgets that mimicry is the greatest flattery. It's even more unfortunate that she was so abandoned by those around her, that she could never truly see how her quirk could do the smallest bit of good in saving a person's life just by her existing, the perfect dialysis quirk, ignored and rejected by society for a "quirky" behavior
Couldn’t weild the other Quirks of One For All, but has *ALL OF CLASS 1-As* abilities memorized utilizing them to their best abilities, He truly is a great teacher!
Manga readers kept saying that my hero fell off but this season was arguably the best. I keep looking at old chapter discussion threads on reddit and youtube and most of the critic points were completly ridiciculous and often just people being illiterate and not understanding what the story already told them multiple times
What a Season Finale episode with All Might being HERE & really showing that a teacher can learn form his students thanks to his Armored Suit & A.I. car called Hercules which is not only named after the Roman god of strength & heroes (fitting) but you may have not noticed this the voice of the A.I. is voiced by Mirai Shida who also voices its creator Melissa Shield
My favorite part of Toga’s death was her realization of how her power could’ve been used for “good” all along. Just a difference in perspective. She never had any guidance
What's really tragic to me about Toga is that this episode makes you realize that Toga would have actually been an insanely useful and popular Hero if she had just been treated with kindness in her childhood. The girl is literally humanity's universal donor. Hospitals need blood? She could become any blood type. Disaster or villain attack occurs and you have wounded people who need blood? No problem, Toga can give you back your exact same blood and stitch you up right then and there. And given her offensive capabilities, we literally could have had a Battle Medic in Toga. The world missed out on a Toga who could have easily been a Top 5 Hero and saved countless lives just because not even her own parents could treat her with empathy and understanding. All that potential squandered because a child was treated like a monster.
It's just a small thing. But I like that Ochako calls herself kind of weird when talking to Deku on the cliff and Deku also considers himself weird. And then both Toga and Ochako call each other weird while Toga is saving Ochako. I personally think Toga should've lived. I get that Hori was probably going for a bittersweet ending. But it does feel a little silly that Bakugo's heart seemingly gets pierced and he's getting revived because of the theme of protecting the next generation. Toga is apart of the next generation. She's basically the same age or a year older than the main cast of students. A lot of people then have the rebuttal of, "Oh, so you wanted Toga to spend the rest of life in prison?" And no. I think she should've served some time. Perhaps gotten a bit of help and a healthy alternative method for her quirk and then been shown, "You can be apart of society". I personally enjoyed a lot of MHA up until now. But this is one decision I personally disagreed with. Especially since Twice died to give the rest of his friends a happy life barely a month or so ago. Oh well. With Bakugo's bloodied All Might card on the ground, we move onto the final season of MHA
She def wouldnt have been able to just "serve some time". she would have been locked up for life. she was one of the main instrumental villains in afo, tomuras plans to destroy society. her sad mans parade would have finished the fight had ochaco not stopped her. thats why she said herself "youd come every day and give me your blood in prison?" cause she wouldnt have been getting out at all.
8:34 the music ooofff. people can say what they want about the series, but one thing is the music will always bring about an emotion and this one here....epic. This is for me definitely makes me prefer the anime over the manga for MH for the emotion
"I thought All Might is in his late 30s" What the hell, Roshi haha But tbh i also fought that he was in his early 50s. I thought they mentioned this once in the show but maybe they meant the age when he was fighting AFO the last time before he met Deku.
Love almight losing his shit laughing that he is still fucking all for one up so hard. He's planning to go out as a total troll and is just loving every moment of it.
Siggy would have been great for demolition. There is a good use of his quirk. Also he can do executions that are instant and humane. And medically he can destroy infections especially if he learned fo fine tune the control. Imagine Shiggy decaying cancer cells
Late 50s makes sense. There's a lot of references to how he's been around for ages. Oh and about Tatooin station, you probably made that comment season 1 episode 1
Remember the Doctor's last word to AFO is that he wish hatred will not dwell in his heart? Crazy foreshadowing AFO would've won if he just ignored All Might, but he let his hatred for him dwell in his heart, which becomes his downfalls
That Hercules suit that All Might uses cost him quite literally his entire life savings. All the money he got from hero merch royalties and hero work went into making that suit
I love that you can see All Might’s sclera in one of his eyes. Horikoshi said that the reason All Might lost his sclera was to symbolize his waning power. He maintained his pupils to symbolize the last pieces of his power. This is why Muscle Might doesn’t have pupils because the power symbolized by his pupils is now enveloping his entire body. Now he is back near Tatooin Station on a similar rooftop to the one where he told Deku that he couldn’t be a hero without a quirk. He is fighting against the Demon Lord while quirkless and laughing maniacally, talking about how great it is to be in the service of others. Showing this heroism in the face of danger causes his sclera to come back. The Spirit of Prime All Might has returned 🥳
They mentioned almight carried one for all for 40 years in the last season assuming he was probably same age as deku when he got the power almight is atleast 55 and squaring up with prime AFO💀
I think it goes without saying that they put EVERYTHING they had into these most recent episodes ESPECIALLY. And they are going to make every moment of this final war just make COUNTLESS imprints in your head. And its going to slam EVERYTHING on it's way out and waiting for Season 8 is going to be ROUGH. We start off with the aftermath of Toga's battle. The Sad Man's Parade ends very fittingly as Uraraka brings out her genuine smile with the love she's always needed. The monster that reached and swallowed the entire battlefield has gone away. And Toga looks around to see everyone gently float to the ground. She saved EVERYONE she could. Uraraka healing Toga saved more lives than you can possibly imagine. And Toga looks down at her friend knowing its time to say goodbye. But she doesn't want to. Uraraka is turning pale as her body refuses to do anything with her adrenaline wearing off, her quirk maxed out, and pushing her body's physical limits to the absolute. And she STILL tries to move because she wants to do more. To see a love of other's to THAT extent...Toga doesn't want this relief she feels to go away. She knows there's an easier world to live in on the other side of this battle when the villains win...but she also knows that no one has shown up from the battles she saw. She saw the blue star Touya made turn into a snowglobe and disappear. She saw Kurogiri only briefly who hasn't come back and no Spinner was with him. Compress is already gone. Magne is gone. Twice is gone. And though she doesn't know it, Shigaraki the man she followed is fighting for his very existence not externally but internally. And AFO...well she doesn't care about him. The world she wanted to live in easy is already gone. So that means that this world needs not Toga...but Uraraka. Its all she has truly gained in her life as all she has is lost. And now that she's been given...she sees the contradiction in what she is asking for. Uraraka can't fulfill her promise of always giving her blood. And the only way to immortalize her relief, her freedom, her happiness, the love she has given is as simple as taking the promise and turning it the other way. She instead of opening a new wound addresses Uraraka's pain and closes it. She wants Uraraka's love and happiness to keep going. Holds Izuku's christmas present to her chest, someone that also needs Uraraka's love. And she answers everyone's pain all at once. Saving Uraraka at the expense of Toga. Uraraka didn't want to say goodbye, but she got every ounce of true genuine love that Toga had. Apologizing for the pain she caused. And just happy to be around her til the very end. I did a LOT of reading about not just Reinfield's syndrome but also Schizophrenia for this. I just found the syndrome in the past and said, ah. Real life Vampire. Got it. But when I went reading deeper, I found Reinfield's syndrome when diagnosed is commonly to already diagnosed Schizophrenic people which is already only 1.1% of the global population. (Like HSP and Empaths, all Empaths are HSP, but not always the other way around. But I didn't see a constant for Schizophrenia and Reinfield's syndrome being the same way, just commonly the same way) Which...there's a lot of confusion and sweeping generalizations about from the movies and shows, and very fittingly, Toga is often one of the most confusing villains for many people. And I saw a list of symptoms and while I can't diagnose people I can fictional characters that are designed to have traits like this INCREDIBLY outwardly noticeable. So long as you care about the personality of the characters being written they should be identified by just about anyone. Toga has pretty much EVERY symptom not related to movement hindrances because her entire style of combat is based on movement she uses to disappear. And Uraraka although she accepted everything about Toga absolutely solved her problems by targeting Toga's schizophrenia. Paranoia, disorganized behavior, compulsive behavior, delusion, hallucination, just to name a few. All that is shown at some point across her story, and gone by this end for her. So I can honestly say RIP Toga. In another life with the proper love she needed she could have just been a genuinely good person. Ok. We were all waiting for this fight. All-Might paving the way for the biggest battles of the season now sits waiting for his opponent. He is ready to become Iron-Man. I remember when I was reading this I thought, this armor isn't going to last TWO PANELS. MAN was I put in my place. All-Might and Tsukauchi BOTH know about Nighteye's foresight, and Alll-Might has willingly accepted what is to come. They BOTH know everything is fallen into place for the most horrifying of results. And All-Might just laughs it off and says, yeah but I am going to make it count AND make it count for EVERYONE. He has a machine for EVERY kid in Class A. Each one he names their hero names because he sees them as hero's. And he SPECIFICALLY uses Izuku's moves not by his hero name but down to the move because he wants to take EVERY LESSON Izuku EVER got because as far as All-Might is concerned, he's not the best hero anymore. Deku has him outclassed on what it means to be a hero in EVERY WAY. I had to do some digging for figuring out what the heck this armor was. But it didn't take me long they already had EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED. All-Might had ALREADY tried out an armor he told Deku it would break down at 30% of his energy capacity. I laughed it off and said before or after your injury. And after looking a bit more I realized...uh, he meant BEFORE. He said he went and forged his own hero with his own strapping body. I wondered how the heck did THAT happen, and we are shown Melissa shield for this episode. Oh. Dave Shield. The scientist that developed all of All-Might's superhero costumes, AND knows about his energy levels before AND after his injury. Likely DECADES have passed since that golden armor, and he comes in with a car like the one they drove around in FOR THAT MOVIE, named after the Greek God. We saw a machine in the 1st movie that was intended to pump Injured All-Might with energy without effecting his body...but the BODY is the problem not the available energy amount. All-Might has no stomach and severe digestive system and respiratory system damage ALREADY, and channeling energy is a PHYSICAL action. One his body CAN'T do. So the Shield family managed a work around with a stronger better armor, designed to go toe to toe with none other than Prime AFO. Unlike the All-Might steroids Shigaraki uses compared to Nomu that Endeavor bested, THIS ACTUALLY implies the prime of their powers. I'd believe it is 30% like the old armor but retailored to address what All-Might ACTUALLY needs to be active. Still with all of the downsides this is a machine. And quirks pretty heftily surpass them in this world. It can cushion hits not stop them, it's not the OFA energy armor. He's breaking bones pretty fast just like his son. But it JUST DOES NOT MATTER. All-Might was ready for this and he just laughs it off. He is FINALLY helping people again and he is LOVING IT. All-Might is a hero through and through. He doesn't feel like a fraud, or letting people down, he is even paying back AFO IN SPADES for what he has done to him. He gets to live up to Nana's lessons, he gets to live up to the dreams he has ALWAYS had, live up to WHY Nana chose him, loved him like a son. He gets to have this role HE CHOSE. Not a fate he can't escape. And it is INFURIATING AFO which makes it EVERY BIT BETTER. No one has EVER given AFO a more sound opponent, and no one he has wanted to hurt more because All-Might has done the impossible to survive him AGAIN AND AGAIN. He has NEVER seen Deku this way. And there's a reason for that. All-Might's sheer nearly unhinged DELIGHT at doing this is literally bringing the light back to his eyes. All-Might is acting with all the passion of being ONE MAN for ALL people. And Deku senses it. Sees it through the eyes of All-Might's golden flaming vestige. Deku is a giant energy tornado using probably around 90% of what All-Might was using in season's 1-3. But...that's not the power that All-Might used to match EVERY QUIRK of AFO. So then the question becomes, if it's not in Deku where is it? And if the vestige of All-Might in OFA is nothing but a print of his personality, then the memories and experiences All-Might went through should START when he received OFA and began stockpiling, and STOP when he said goodbye OFA when he retired. And yet Deku is getting a CLEAR up to date vision of All-Might RIGHT NOW when he is NOWHERE in view kilometers away. That is NOT POSSIBLE without 2 sources of OFA. All-Might HAS THE 200 YEARS OF ENERGY and is looking for the password to complete what was started with the hair Deku ate. The energy HAS to get to Deku to finish the job. Like awakening quirks there MUST be some password or lock. And with All-Might LIVING IT UP like this, they've never felt closer. (The prime from season 1 I have so thoroughly looked at appears to be on it's way) This is their coordination to face their opponents. All-Might isn't done, but he will stop at NOTHING to protect his kids, and put an end to this abomination that has plagued the holders for 200 years. And Deku holds off Shigaraki preparing to stop at nothing to protect EVERYONE. This is positively STELLAR. And waiting for Season 8 is going to be AGONY.
Tomura's decay quirk is best suited for rescue situations. Decaying a collapsing building, removing debris, destroying gates if they don't have a key, clearing aftermath of natural disasters like landslides, decaying rusted metals and waste, freeing abducted civilians from any restraints, destroying enemy weapons and he can learn fighting styles adjusted to his quirk. He honestly would have become an amazing hero. His ability is closest to Mina's quirk, so a lot of her techniques/safety measures he could learn from
Honestly, All Might will always be the true number one hero. I don’t think any other hero has achieved THIS level of awesomeness and baddassery. This season has been a wild ride
All might is fighting using his students’ quirks to show them that they can defeat Shigaraki if they work together. He’s also using their quirks because he said he was throwing everything he has at AFO and his students are his everything
Toga’s death made me so sad because with what she did to help Ochako, if someone had mentored her properly she could’ve done so much for the world. Then the tonal whiplash of Iron Might’s scrap and now we gotta wait until next season to see All Might’s fate. Shounen baby. 🤣
I was worried for months wondering how they'd cut the season off, cuz there's truly no good stopping point even in the Manga, it just keeps fucking going full throttle. I personally was expecting it to end on the "I am Here" from Episode 19 as the cliffhanger, but i'm glad they did it this way. It felt less like a season finale and more like "We'll be back soon, dont you worry."
Okay I’ll admit All Might acknowledging Class A as the inspiration for his Ironman suit brought a tear to my eye😢. You know IT put that body on the Internet.
11:20 Shigaraki's quirk wouldve never been good for hero work but Lupa is right here because the whole point of his origin in my villain academia was that if any civilian reached out to him when he was wandering around after killing his family he couldve turned out ok. but noone bothered to help him as a child so he ended up being manipulated by AFO and molded into a villain.
exactly, and it's not even like the people who saw him on the street knew what his quirk was, they were just seeing a helpless, abandoned child asking for help and ignoring them.
@@themaynetitan Tbh tho, I think his quirk actually would’ve been very useful in hero work. Sure he can’t fight villains, cause…he’d turn them to dust. But say there was a natural disaster event and his quirk is able to decay all of the debris and save the citizens that way. If things were different, Shiggy wouldn’t really be a battle type hero. But I definitely think he’d be a rescue type of hero.
