unrealturbos i dont want to start a flame war but the germans were not the good guys in ww1.The most pro-german opinion on this is that there were no good guys in the war in general
Study WW1, they really didn't do anything wrong. They only entered the war because Austria-Hungary went to war with Serbia, so Germany went to war with the allies. And when they had the U-boat blockade around Britian, they didn't sink U.S. cruisers because they wanted to avoid war with them.
But we all have to agree WW2 is much more interesting to study... no i do not count the holocaust as an ww2 event. I mean Soviets, Japanease, US , Nazi Germany etc... Battle of Bulge, D-day, stalingrad, kursk, Battle for Berlin. Dusseldorf bombing, France invasion, London bombing, pearl harbor, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Operation Barbarossa, Poland invasion, Operation Valkyre... And im not here to trash WW1 as its very interesting too, but in ww1 they were cruel and wild with gasses and demolition of civilian homes to war purposes... I know as much as in WW2 as in ww1 but EA needs to make a new WW2 battlefield and see all the German Flak 40 guns firing with Tiger1 and Tiger 2 as well as panzers.
Hey guys, Just need to point out that I'm FULLY aware the German is holding a 1911, this is simply due to the other pistols had a glitch I just wasn't willing to put up with. All filmed during the closed alpha of BF1 and under extremely limited game time and zero server control. - Thank you for watching.
+Lighter Fluid no no mans land was the area between the allied trenches and the German trenches the area in between was known as no mans land because once you had to cross it it was basically a death sentence
I agree, I personally love the main character, P I S T O L D U D E, and is that the actual idle pistol animation? Cause I love the way he looks around and shakes his hand
This is not what No Man's Land is, it's suppose to be the area of death between the trenches. That was not this, this looked like a WWII shooter with WWI gear.
Dude, if you have a realistic WW1 it would be you spawning in a trench and boom you're dead however many times until you rage quit. Alternatively you'll get bored of doing absolutely nothing, getting gassed, getting shelled, catching rats while getting trench foot and starving to death. So let's be honest there isn't really a way to make an adrenaline based game setting in WW1.
Official Dat Boi Yeh it did look like the SS, I'd really like a story based WW1/WW2 game tho, from the eye of a German about how the West bullies them, about time to give them some justice
@@ilyayakymenko9774 Wrong. While it's unrealistic in many aspects, it is not as unrealistic as a sci-fi universe set in a galaxy far a way millennia ago. All these weapons were real, all the factions existed, almost every operations/story is based off or set in a real conflict.
@@the_katzy, ok, a bit exaggerated, but still, ''realism'' in bf1 is only a marketing move. They use realism, as long as it creates action. For example: zeppelins were extremely rare on battlefield and were never used since 1915-16 except for naval patrol - who tf cares, they gonna explode with fire and shit... Tanks are too slow - we gon add some horsepower... Soldiers couldn't run in mud - just don't care.
@@ilyayakymenko9774 Yes, but the creators made it very clear that Battlefield 1 was a 'what-if' scenario, not a direct representation of WW1. And it's not like they add *completely new* things, such as starships and lasers and crap, it's all essentially modified versions of reality.
@@the_katzy I said I exaggerated with Star-wars. The "what-if" could be very vast, Call of Duty ww2 didn't add anything new either, but it feels like watching a cartoon for kids.
They push. We push. Every once in a while, we push hard enough that the light breaks through the clouds, so the world beyond the war glimmers... Just out of reach. The War is the world. And the World is the war. But behind every gunsight, is a human being. We are those people. We are the Jaded. We are the Naive. We are the Honorable, and the Criminal. We are the bound for Legend, and the Lost to History. We are the Knights of the Sky, the Ghosts in the Desert, and the Rats in the mud. These are our stories.
Because this game is autistic and trying to appeal to the politically correct fanbase that is the cancer of the gaming industry. Germany did have African soldiers, *however they were all volunteers, and were not deployed in Europe.* These soldiers were called 'Schutztruppen'. Throughout 1891 - 1918 their numbers were no higher than 80,330. (And even that is if we include the ones in the naval infantry of the 3rd Sea Battalion). Those African volunteers only fought in East, West, Southwest Africa and in Togoland which was a German protectorate in West Africa where they surrendered to French and British troops. So yeah, there is currently absolutely no reason for having Africans in the German faction. If they don't change this until the release, I will not buy this game.
+Kellen Jimenez no I've seen plenty of gameplay. Black Germans are immersion breaking. It seems like the only Germans I've seen though have been black. The others have gas masks on so I can't really tell. Like honestly I don't recall seeing a character model for a white German but I recognize the Black model(s) right off the top of my head.
I looked it up. The German Military during World War I used African-American Soldiers (code named the Schutztruppe) So yes, this game is historically accurate. :) Pass the word.
German with american pistol , british soldier with gemrna smg and gemrans with british tank. Is it some kind of opposite day on the battlefield or what?
Stealing the enemy's equipment was quite common. Especially with tanks. You could imagine it would take a lot of resources to create tanks, so capturing them would be a priority.
This was incredible. As always, your audio work was as perfect as the visuals, which I appreciate even more if I'm honest. Top work buddy, can't wait to see what you do with the full game :)
Got back into playing my favorite battlefield game and I can say man this game gives you a feeling you can't feel anywhere else when it comes to brutality and the feeling that your just knee deep in the mud
+Evilmike42 it would have been an extremely rare case of a German soldier using a 1911. possible, but the German army never used .45 acp so I'm sure rounds would have been rare in that sense. like I said possible but extremely unlikely unless he picked it up like you said
Everything was good until I saw an African dressed as a German soldier, in a European battlefield. Can the fuckwits at DICE just fucking remove this bullshit already? *Here, let me actually explain to you why having Africans in the German faction is a pretty stupid thing to do, using nothing but Historical facts.* Germany did have African soldiers, *however they were all volunteers, and were not deployed in Europe*. These soldiers were called 'Schutztruppen'. Throughout 1891 - 1918 their numbers were no higher than 80,330. (And even that is if we include the ones in the naval infantry of the 3rd Sea Battalion). Those African volunteers *only fought* in East, West, Southwest Africa and in Togoland which was a German protectorate in West Africa where they surrendered to French and British troops. So yeah, there is currently absolutely no reason for having Africans in the German faction. If they don't change this until the release, I will not buy this game.
WW1 was majority trench warfare with rifles, not urban combat with automatic weapons. No man's land was the gaps between the safety of the trenches filled with mines and barbed wire, constantly bombarded by artillery, and Gatling fire.
***** No, they only had Gatling guns which were on wheels and the first machine guns. The Gatling design was thrown away by the end of the war in favor of more maneuverable machine guns, and only came back into use in the 60's and 70's. The first automatic weapon was a Gatling gun
XstormageddonX ok.... what are you on about.... the most common automatic weapon throughout the entirety of WW1 was the machine gun, such as the vickers machine gun which entered into service with the british military in 1912, the Maschinengewehr 08 which was in service with the german military from 1908 or the Mle 1914 Hotchkiss in service with the french military from 1914 NO ONE used Gatling guns in ww1
+XstormageddonX Nice. You just tried to summarized a WORLD war by describing western front. No, that you don't have a point. This game is inaccurate as fuck in showing western front. But keep in mind that in eastern front things looked a bit different.
Lamo "white privilege". I swear these black people get more racist by the day. These black people don't even know their own history. Oh wait, chances are they aren't even black but just white shamers who feel like they need to reach out to their "brothers" so people won't call them racist. Having blacks in character selection is as accurate as having chinese soldiers with the British regulars. Sure they were there, but it was such a rare occurrence it isn't anywhere notable for a video game.
you did nothing to fight in ww1. Absolutely nothing. Im sick of you people who think you actual did stuff in ww1 and ww2 when really you were just cleaning clothes and shipping ammunition. the blacks in com,bat were such a minority I would have a better chance of winning the lotto then seeing a black man on the battlefield during ww1 and ww2.
CraftyCal The Video is great, but i'm a bit bummed out about the missed opportunities in Battlefield 1 , about creating something different here because WW1 was in fact something different. But what did they do ? Go for the easy Call of Duty clone :(
Garfball Got it on steam in 2015 already but i like Red Orchestra 2 more. It's WW2 but the way the matches go it reminds me WW1. Trenches, Crawling for minutes, Wave's, Charge with group sprint bonus, Role's limitation (1 commander 4 machine gunners, 2 snipers 50 Rifle man which only has Bolt Action Rifle's) a TERRIBLE suppressive fire penalty and the most essential the map build. Soo i really hoped Battlefield 1 would be more like Red Orchestra 2. (But any BF game is good enough in my opinion though i love BF since Bad Company soo i'm not criticizing it just a bit bummed out)
Oh my god, I domt care if it was 3 years ago. This is amazing, how did you make this? I'm legit asking please show how you made it! With the multiple views switching and what the settings were for everything.
+Boi Awy They were in the Schutztruppe, and only served in Africa. And this map is set in France. +Steve xD Soldiers did not apply camouflage facepaint in those days, there was no purpose and the technology for it to be mass produced easily wasn't really around I suppose. And if you looked, all of the Germans (besides the ones wearing the gasmask it seems?), are Africans.
You sure? There was the whole colonization of a certain continent by Europe going on around that time. Actually that's why the first world war happened to begin with.
Next BF game confirmed: No Man's Battlefield, now with 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 procedurally generated battlefields. Singleplayer only, but you could encounter other players, the reality is, the likelihood of that is tiny, literally 0, because there is no multiplayer. Main theme: Fleetwood Mac - Little Lies. Directed by Sean Murray. lol
thank you, and this is why I'm not buying the game up front I'm waiting to see if there will be changes to make it more historically accurate, 90 percent of WW1 was faught in the trenches and across no mans land with bolt action stripper clip fed weapons... not semi auto magazine fed weapons with 8 power acogs on them lol and snipers back then with 20x scopes were not the size of your phone
+Robert Goodman Correction: Only the western front was mainly trench warfare The eastern and african front where very mobile. Also from the looks of it the game takes place at the end of the war(which is why the U.S are playable) when the Entente started to break the stalemate and push Germany back from the front making the rest of the war more mobile
+O S-K let me teach you a history lesson you didnt learn in school, on 2nd may 1915 germany attacked a 30 mile trench line on the eastern front between the towns of glorice and tarnow. at the battle of gallipoli, the ottomans had a 250 mile trench line that halted the british and french landings to take the straights, its also known as the battle of canakkale... so to say that trench warfare was only on the the western fron is a lie...
It's so interesting the way different countries viewed each other as entirely different peoples in a developmental arms race. Germans and English were complete foreigners to each other, some didn't see the other as human
Best video I've seen this month. Earned a sub and a like, good work, man. Keep it up. Now, if you people would stop bitching about black Germans, it'd be great. First of all, there were actually black Germans, second of all, you can customize your character's skin and Battlefield already announced that.
Why don't you do your research +TopKekPotato. There were African Americans too. Those 'black French' Weren't actually French, they were dragged by the French from their colonies in Africa so they can fight and desperately win the war
People are so racist. I don't understand how you can say someone doesn't belong because of their skin color. There are people on all sides of everything through out time.
