B.J. Blazkowicz infiltrates a Forced Labor/Concentration Camp in annexed Croatia (Camp Belica). This video was fully recorded, played and edited by me, the video contains footage from Wolfenstein The New Order.
@@SanctusPaulus1962 yeah, it'll definitely not make you immortal, but it does make you so much harder to kill. the usual dude would probably die under the situations that blazko does, but he just wears it. (also he never canonically gets shot) and so the only canon damage is the brain damage and the grenade to the face
I like how the torturer stabs him once and knocks him out instantly while blazkowicz and a different nazi stab the shit out of eachother multiple times and he just tanks it
Canonically Blazko stops the stab with his left hand (left trigger for console & right click for PC) so he never got stabbed in the chest multiple times
that was my thought when i first played this lol i was like "wait why did they let him keep that? it wasn't even like he was hiding it, it was right there in his hand!" it does kind of ruin the scene a bit
we not gonan talk about how he says "the guards are watching us closely" and blazkowicz proceeds to chuck a giant piece of metal, in front of the guards, into the machine and no one reacts?
TBH Blaskowicz would have been beaten up or shot for breaking the machine. They were not that friendly. Also the barrack bunks were WAY too big and the clothing fabric looks way too comfortable.
Well in this timeline machines are more advanced plus the soldiers just don't give a damn they are working like it's a dead-end job which it probably is since concentration camps are normal.
@@mexicanpanda84 even then, we know that the guards at concentration camps beat up, killed and r ed the people there just cause they wanted to. I heard there was a Nasi woman who had furniture made from human skin. So much inhumane experimentation on prisoners. It was much more horrifying ^censored cause idk if it will be suppressed.
@@HunterDev-tehepikguest Lol, absolutely not. He didn't see him as a person, he saw him as a play thing. Dude was running a fucking death camp. It was his choice to have execution lines in the first place.
@@majorevangelism Irene Engel is the Camp Director. If you rewatch the video, Bubi had to plea with her for her to do something. If you're talking about his potential role in the camp design and order, I don't think he had the position for that.
Fun fact about Wolfgang = 2:49 in the video. In the game = Wolfenstein : Old Blood : Wolfgang was a soldier in the SS Paranormal Division under Helga von Schabbs. He appears in the first mission as a guard at Castle Wolfenstein. He later appears at Helga's party in Wulfburg, being thrown out of a room by another soldier for "using" a photo of the man's fiancée. Wolfgang appears to be drunk and weakly defends himself by saying that he found the photo in the restroom and asks "What else was I supposed to do with it?". He survives the attack of shamblers and capture of the town by the allies. Between March 1946 and 1960, Wolfgang was promoted to Oberscharführer and transferred from the Paranormal Division (which was likely disbanded after the Wulfburg incidents) to serve as a guard under Irene Engel at Camp Belica. He appears in Camp Belica with Frau Engel and Bubi, overseeing the arrival of prisoners to the gas chambers. When Bubi convinces Engel to send one of the prisoners, a disguised B.J. Blazkowicz, to the concrete mixing chambers instead, Wolfgang shoves B.J. out of the line and through a nearby door to be registered and tattoed. It is likely that Wolfgang was killed by B.J. during his short but intense stay in the camp (probably as one of the guards encountered near the battery scene), but his fate is not confirmed.
because its a labor camp. Can't have prisoners be holocaust levels of emaciated if you want them to work your usual 18-20 something hours of labor for at least a week.
The best part is not translated: 6:16 - Oh well, suppose we shut down for the day, yes? -Yes -Fine, lets go drinking (In German, they don’t use the word „trinken“ which is the 1:1 translation to drinking. They use „saufen“ which is drinking but in a more excessive way, like drinking really much or: Let’s hammer us completely down) -Come with me In german its so much funnier lmao
Interesting to see how much the voices are different from the german version. In the german version the guards speak without accent but here they have bavarian/austrian accent by diffrent actors with the same text. Bombate's german voice lines have a stereotypical afrikan accent, altough very minor. Here he speaks english with a few yiddish? words in between. I guess there is no yiddish in the german version, because of censorship (subjugated/inprisoned folk are referred to as "Abweichler"/deviants instead of jews, sinti, roma or else) and/or because the yiddish words are similar to many german words with the same meaning and wouldn't be noticed by a native german listener or only in a complete yiddish sentence. The way he speaks Bombate could be a northafrican-jew a religious group that was only recently/ a few decades ago oficially recognised by the wider jewish community. They even have stone/clay tablet copies of the 10 commandments and basket arks to house them. Historians believe that back in the day this was a common way for smaller groups to transport their copies of "God's most important laws". A nice touch off them to put this in the game. Also one off the few moments in american cinema/games were german characters speak actual/intelligble german, not like "Indiana Jones". Tbf russian and other foreign language lines in american movies are often badly written aswell, like the "It was just a f**** dog" line in John Wick were the gauy actually told John "to go f****" himself
i am an german and i think wolfenstein is intresting because the designers didnt seem to have informed them in any way about german archietecture and how the rules in this kind of germany were while at the same time i really loved how they do the people sometimes the people arent very well done but for example the guards in the maintaince had an good northern german accent actet like they were german they were well done
@@SanctusPaulus1962 my friend we germans have an specific way of architecture which is very different from for example the american style we put a lot of effort into designing The best layouts for our camps for example in Sachsenhau*en you needed just one mashineguntower to overwatch every part of the camp it was so good designed that the americans stole the design and used it till the eighties for their prisons and the soviets just continued using the camp for prisoners as cruel as the places were they were extreamly well planned especially the later ones cause in the end the SS was an buissness they wanted to maximise Profits so they did put thought into it The camp in Wolfenstein isnt built in an good way its uncontrollable too many rooms not throughshootable buildingmaterials we know of around 10 guards for one block and they have atleast 2 blocks we know that 20 guards minimum+ a few of those robots who are defintily not cheap the camp is not well designed
@@SanctusPaulus1962 also the Nazis aktually wanted to have an psychological effect on them thats why often they wrote on the walls or houses in the camps again example of Sachsenha*sen at the houses was written arbeit macht frei the favourite qoute of Heinrich H*mmler leader of the SS

For those whom it may concern: There is a Belica/ Belch vilage in modern Day Croatia. During ww2 it was along with Ober Murr region given to Magyar Kiralysag. Also try as I may... Nolimestone quarry is located in that Region, but there is a hill called Zelezna Gora near by (10-15 miles away). So Yeah... Now You dear reader know, just like I, of a random small village somewhere down in the south of central Europe. (I wasted too much time trying to find this, sorry croatians)
6:05 that "Ja" that the german soldier said in particular that tone of voice is the most accurate thing ive seen in a game. Just a simple affarmitive but it has everything. Speaking as a guy growing up in germany - this is real and i love the game for these little details.
The soundtrack playing in the sequence with stomp-robot is "Escape from Camp Belica (Herr Faust Alt)" by Fredrik Thordendal and Mick Gordon. OST in this game is so cool.
They casted two German speaking voice actors with Austrian accent and the employee who made the English subtitles didn't bother to properly transcribe or translate their dialogue? That's weak, here's the proper convo @ 06:07 Soldier 1: How's she looking? Can we start again? Soldier 2: The bearings are molten. We need some technicians down here. Soldier 1: But they'll come back tomorrow... well, let's finish for today, right? Soldier 2: Jo Soldier 1: Come let's get wasted Soldier: 2: Why not? Attention prisoners, factory is closed for today, go back to your quaters immediately. Inmates from block 4 through the red gate, inmates from block 6 through the blue gate. The cuff titles (Ärmelstreifen) on their jacket sleeves read Heimatschutz which means Homeguard.
The Nazis probably took some examples from Schindler that a well fed and healthy labor camp = more productive factory while they still torture and execute some of the prisoners I wonder what happened to Schindler in this universe

he does actually understands german and can badly speak it, its shown in old blood where they are in a infiltration mission when the other character says '' dont try to speak, your german is afwul,,.
@@ratatataget, he clearly does not understand German, how can one understand a language that they can not speak?? When asked if he is a Frankfurter, he replies with: "Yes, one hot dog". Why dare to use two English words in a German sentence?? He was lucky to get away with it only because they thought he was making a stereotypical joke about Americans. If you notice, the subtitles also state the words in German, rather than English, another subtle hint that he does not understand the language as most games, when a protagonist can understand the language spoken, the subtitles are translated to English, like Karl Fairburne from Sniper Elite.

How dare you, my grandpa was killed in the Holocaust, the nazis made him run into a wall with a tunnel painted on it. He told us how they killed him while he bit my younger brothers foreskin off.
he may or may not be magical in the game immediately prior to this one, he kept a magic medallion in his pocket that let him control reality, my theory is he's still got some magic in his system from using it so much
