What makes this speech even more epic is the fact that the battle of Soissons was fought in 1918 just about half a year before the end of the whole war. This battle was part of the one last offensive done by USA and France on finally trying to end the war You can just hear the anger and desperation on this German officer's voice. Fits so perfectly
I know this is a minor detail but that bell toll right before he start speaking brings on that feeling of anger and despair. It brings on the "it's time" feeling.
@Tron Germany dislikes all things militaristic and aggressive now. The German constitution even says that the German military can only be deployed to defend Germany proper
@@punishedvenomsnake716 But what if some parts of Germany belong to other nations now? Like Kaliningrad formerly known as Königsberg the major city of Prussia? Can they defend/reclaim them?
I guess no matter who you fight for, when you're defending something, you're always fighting for your life, and that gives your side the greatest advantage.
@@maxwellbaker1790 Following a quote made by Reagan: It is more honorable for a man to fight on his feet than to pray and beg on his knees. If you chose to pray on your knees, you might as well have died. If you chose to fight, however, you at least had a chance to live with your nation or give your life honorably. If you ask me and a number of people (which an unsurprising majority are guys), we would give up ourselves defending those we love than to let an enemy storm over everything we have.
seriously how do u get it to do the pre battle speech, I know you see me in almost every comment section. But im seriously wandering how it does this for u but not me, the game just sits their when the round is about to start. I would really like if it did that for me cuz it adds a since of motivation to try hard instead of giving up when my team is full of noobs.
It will only trigger at the start of any operations game, and all the factions on all the maps will do it. When the round is about to start, you should spawn in when there is at least 5 seconds left on the clock before the match starts. If you wait to spawn in after the clock counts down you will not get the pre battle speech
I always wonder why many people who clearly dont speak german, try to answer these questions. Its not Zeite, its not zurück machen Its "Wir stehen Seite an Seite und kämpfen! So werden wir diesen Angriff zurückwerfen! Tötet sie alle! Bis auf den letzten Mann! Attacke" The two previous comments are a nightmare in spelling as well as grammar, and "biem" isnt even a german word
Wir stehen seiten an seiten und kämpfen sowie diesen angriff zurück machen töten sie allen bis den letzten mann attacke That's what i managed to hear i am not german tho
@@csjudgement6012 That is close, but not exactly right Hes saying "Wir stehen Seite an Seite und kämpfen! So werden wir diesen Angriff zurückwerfen! Tötet sie alle! Bis auf den letzten Mann! Attacke"
Well they always spoke German because they are Germanic states. Prussia and Austria were racially and linguistically the same, however Prussia united all the smaller German states rather than Austria Hungarian empire, because Austria hungary seemed like a worse empire to join as it was multi ethnic and had plenty different languages and generally a weaker empire.
@@tiddymilkcockhill3461 It was also due to the war between Prussia and Austria in the 1860s where Prussia's victory fully cemented them as the hegemon of the German-speaking states.
