In a way, I love Martini-Henry. It's a fun skill cannon to use. But my favorite weapon of any shooter is Lebel 1886 Inf. I used to wreck whole squads by rapid firing and going full Simo Häyhä with it. More than usually I was the top scout of the game with it.

I could watch you play all day. You're every bit as good as any of the best players, but we can actually tell you aren't cheating because you do miss shots sometimes and you do have some recoil. You are the real deal, man. I'm a good player, you're a great player. It's good to see you pro's are actually human yet still really really good.

I remember completing the 500 kills Martini Henry challenge that unlocked the Martini sniper. I was so disappointed. The bullet drop off is insane and it’s obviously so underpowered compared to the one with irons.

I played every Battlefield game onwards from Bad Company 2 and whilst BF3 will always have a very special place I feel like BF1 is my most favorite one of them all. Sadly no one's playing War Pigeons anymore... (at least on Playstation)

idk why, but the martini feels so inconsistent compared to other rifles, even the vetterli-vitali. Shots that feel like they should have hit somehow miss (headshot on a prone enemy from 20 meters, or missing a random medic 10 times from 40 meters), shots that I could confidently take with an SMLE infantry, yet shots that I'm taking with absolutely 0 confidence somehow hit (220 meter headshot). I don't know if it has such bad "artillery" ballistics that the bullet goes way above the front post or it has such slow bullets that the enemies are Neo dodging it, maybe the netcode is screwed or it's simply a skill issue, but getting 250 kills with the Martini definitely made me wish for a shooting range. Love the rifle still though, it's really satisfying when things go right but sometimes when they don't it's aggravating.

I would still be playing bf1 today if the martini remained a 1 shot kill to the body

Battlefield 1 I think was the last good Battlefield game. Battlefield 5 was meh, not bad but not as good as Battlefield 1. Battlefield 2042, I've never played it but from the looks it's not remotely a Battfield look/feel game. They made something else and slapped the Battlefield name on it.
