Battlefield 1 no hud Vs Battlefield 5 No HUD- Immersion comparison This video will be a comparison of battlefield 1 and battlefield 5 on how immersive the gameplay
Bf did go weird after Bf1942. There are so many arcade elements like UI handholding, points/ribbon popup, gadget unlocking/leveling, and spawning on squadmates, that I'm put off from buying any of the new ones :(
@@Viljarms don’t worry there are rising storm 1,2 hell let lose post scriptum squad arma that will satisfy your need of a realistic game battlefield now is trying to make casuals happy with imbalanced weapons easier gameplay just to appeal to the kids and trying to drain their mother credit card
Battlefield 1 overall just had a better atmosphere. The cracking of the bullets, roaring shells, distant booming, constant yelling and battle cries, and loud guns/explosions. Every minute feels intense. On top of that, bf1 has a very good soundtrack, bf5’s soundtrack is good too but bf1 just does it better. I can go on but I’m sure y’all get what I mean.
Yeah that’s my main gripe, bfv just lacks the grit and atmosphere of 1. I didn’t really care about the female characters because battlefield has never been the most realistic or historically accurate game (look at all the infantry machine guns in 1 for example) but the over the top ridiculous character skins and overall toned down atmosphere really killed the game for me. Just felt like a lot less passion put into the game
@@zeeonnn never really liked suez that map felt ehhh..... kther's is a hell yeah. I would prefer iwo jima over suez even pacific storm. Is it only me ? That map felt very "tight" idk i dont like the feeling playing that map.
I feel like battlefield 1 is just more immersive and detailed. Battlefield V gives you the feeling of war but I never forget that it’s just a video game, but battlefield 1 on the other hand totally brings the scale of the first war with the details and overall gameplay. Bf1 is definitely a masterpiece and I still enjoy playing till this day
I would say BF1 is more cinematic and polished. Maybe even realistic. Not completely historically accurate in the details which imho doesn't matter because it simply looks and sounds too good for a FPS and that brings additional value to already very good gameplay. Some war movies are also not historically accurate but they look and sound good and give us the feeling we are in the middle of the intense battle.
I really liked the historical tidbits and narraration throughout bf1. When the French general on fort de vaux says "the republic of France will remember you always" (its somthing to that effect) you FEEL that. The generals and voice acting/narration in bfV just don't do it for me and I can't really say why.
@@BigWheel. the campaign VA work is really good especially on the German campaign but if I'm being honest it felt like whatever they had planned for multiplayer on V felt unfinished, as if they were forced to release it in 3 months just after they finished the campaigns and needed a multiplayer ASAP. All the core stuff felt extremely rushed even if you could say it was Battlefield, the VA work for multiplayer didn't have the same impact (do look into how they recorded the BF1 chatter! It's very interesting) and the fact that the British in-game are an amalgam of like 4 different factions (5 until they added Americans properly) really says a lot. Even if the writing was shabby in a lot of the stories, they have a lot of visual, audio, and feature work that checks out plus interesting mechanics like skiing. Almost a jarring difference compared to multiplayer.
I don't understand. Did he body block someone from getting inside and and end up making them die to the explosion or the fact that he survived the exploision?
I love it when the blimp blows up as there's explosions everywhere, tanks going over trenches and breaking through walls, not to mention a plane going overhead as your pushing the objective.
@@Omar12831 I'm looking... but what am I looking for? 🤔 I noticed the person trying to run inside initially (which is why I mentioned body blocking) if that's what you're referring to
To be honest, the first bf5 footage looked great. But in my experience only a few matches in bf5 end up looking that immersive in practice, whereas in bf1 pretty much every moment looks absolutely awesome. Both are good games in their own right tho
@@Bowseefuss101 Thing is, even if it wasn't accurate representation of women during WW2, it still made a hell of a lot of people research the actual women who fought during the war which isn't a bad thing.
@@n8zog584 yeah if they added a Eastern front or french resistance dlc the womans would fit perfectly because actual womans were recruited into the red army
@@Bowseefuss101 "Half of the soldiers are women" is 100% up to the player base. Dice just gave you the option, just like some women in wars choose to fight for their country or their freedom. If you then go and play one is players choice, and if half of them choose women it's what they did, not what Battlefield did. They don't have to play as one, and there is no ratio or pressure to play as one. If that is such a huge problem for your "immersion" in a video game maybe go search for other games without women or ask yourself if it's not you who is the problem here.
I am a bigger fan of Battlefield 1's look, it darker, more somber, more fitting to a War setting, Battlefield V has the perfect atmosphere for a tourist travelling in summer instead of War
However, we must remember that war is not always the scenario we see in the films, the scenario in many battles could be during the day and similar to BFV
I think it's more of the filter on tip or color grading. It's raw, oppressive. Even in the desert, it still had that feeling but not as dark. BFV feels brighter and more saturated. Doesn't really feel dreadful.
I main bf1 to this day. And i love every match im in. The amount of cinematic moments you get is insane. I still stop and stare every time the airship gets destroyed. Beautiful
Bf5- So much less of that feeling of being in ww2 Bf1- Makes you feel like your fighting ww1 1: Okay for the last time it's immersive more than Battlefield 5 now stop ranting about the trenches 2: might elaborate this means that it makes me feel immersed enough to feel like a soldier not a trench fighter in the depressing trenches it has zipping bullets and explosions that lick dust in the air as someone who researched WW1 many times over I'm not saying it's equal
@@PrasathMGM dice had plenty of chances to actually make the game immersive. It's not about time. Bf1 launched in 2016 and bf5 launched in 2018. The graphics were improved slightly on bf5s behalf. 2 years is long enough to produce something that players like. It's not about ea "not giving dice enough time" it's about dice adding women to a ww2 game. It's about dice adding only 2 nations out of most of the world. It's about them re using weapons from bf1 for historical accuracy but add women to a ww2 as I said before. It's not EAs problem for dice making a lack luster battlefield
@@clubbtech4431Its also about time .Women inclusion criticism is a weak critic .if the game was good ,people gonna buy it anyway . Remember bf4 was in a very bad issues at 2014 .it got fixed by Dice LA to make it good .Then people buy it and it’s a commercial success afterwards .In 2017 Dice was making Star Wars battlefront 2 ,which was a good game . Actually Dice has two projects -BF6 and BFV .But it had started making BF6 from 2017 after battlefront 2 immediately and dice told EA ,that it will take nearly more than 2 years to complete it . But EA , after watching the great success of BF1 ,they insisted Dice to do a game quickly . So dice stopped BF6 and made BFV . Because Dice was thought that it can make BFV easily because of their lot of copy paste stuff from BF1 will be taking place on it . However EA provided a less than 10 month time period . That’s why the game released in content less state and plays like a mobile version . Adding to this , the marketing was a disaster . However EA ,after the failure of BFV ,they now understand that time is essential to add lot of content and well polishing of the game . That’s why they give lot of time for BF6 .COVID-19 was also a reason for BF6 time rise .The dice development team was also in great fatigue during 2016 to 2018 time period. As They don’t get any help from Dice LA ,because it was busy at bf v ‘s updates.
every shooter have incredible immersion comparing to that disastrous pile of dung. The main problem i have with BFV are the weapons... they feel, sound like bb guns and you need 20 hitmarkers to get a kill. That's when i dropped it and got back to BF1
@@doge79 yeah the 2019 TTK nerf. It's slightly better than it was after that nerf, but man it was a game ruiner. It basically takes 25% more bullets to kill (approximately since it differs slightly per gun) but it used to be basically double right after they nerfed it. iirc early post-nerf took 12 bullets out of the 20rnd mag on the FG-42. Pretty sure they lost half their player population for that ttk change since it took them over a month to make it slightly more reasonable.. Might partially be one of the reasons they bailed on the game.
2042 feels like a new-age unforgiving war that brings new threats different from wars before it. As well as it's a callback to BF2142. Kaleidoscope feels like siege of Shanghai mixed with no man's lands similar to trench war. The doha qatar map is great too. The glacier map is decent
The cool thing about bf1 is that every gun shot, every explosion, every scream is a player. The first time playing bf1 with no hud is amazing and I still play bf 1 till this day
@@jehwhite1582 there is not a lot of people that play the game but it is worth to check out.5 is also very good but if you are looking for a more realistic game bf1 is the choice
Yes absolutely. The first time i played online was on Passchendaele and i had almost PTSD after the game ended XD The atmosphere was just so intense and immersive...
Sorry to burst your buble. A lot of voices do not come from players. Like, when I am riding a horse alone in the middle of a desert, I hear my squad leader as if they are right next to me when they issue an order. Or I hear pre-battle speeches even when I spawn as a pilot as if the speaking officer sits in rear seat. You can also hear other soldiers telling you to comeback when you are deserting, even if you are the only player in the server. Truth is, most voices are just placed into a place certain distance away from you. Those voices do not come from players themselves.
I'm with you there. BF1's gameplay is obviously very fun, but BF5, with the inclusion of the reinforcement stuff squad leaders can call in makes the gameplay very dynamic and interesting. Also, nothing beats the feeling of getting a big multi-kill with a V-1 rocket
Man, I don’t know anything about Battlefield (outside of their WW settings), but when I heard that scream all I could think was: “Where that woman come from?”
Battlefield 5 looks like far cry, battlefield 1 looks like an actual battlefield game. It's supposed to be chaotic and cinematic as hell. That's the number one rule for a battlefield game.
I honestly think they are about equal. I think the gameplay is fractionally better in BFV but the fact that women are in it brings it back for me. Rightly or wrongly, women didn’t fight on the frontlines.
@@cyathoris7530 none of the guns used in bf1 ever met the frontline, but no one is bothered. The team mates you never paid attention to being female isn’t going to kill you, they’re not even distinct.
I like BF1 much more overall, but one main thing that I hated about BFV was the character customization. I could care less what my guy looks like, and it feels more like one team vs another when everyone is wearing the same uniform in BF1. I wouldn't mind very simple customization such as add-ons to the uniforms (maybe actually displaying war medals on the soldier, or something like bandoliers) I also wouldn't mind variations to the same uniform (such as ripped arms or blood stains) or even helmet/ headwear customization. BFV's made teams feel less as a team and I can tell you I much rather preferred dying wearing the same colors as my teammate instead of having something completely different.
its not racist but its not historically accurate. People plays battlefield for the historically accurate world war gameplay. There shouldn't be females on WWII Pacific frontline. While there are some / A lot historically inaccurate things on BTF1 but hey its At least still better than BTF5
@Kiefer Angelo R. CAELIAN for the SJWs. And they paid the price for it too. Bfv sold only about half as many copies as bf1. They should take heed on the consequences of their actions (literally telling their fans not to buy the game if they dont want females). Dont threaten your fans, its equivalent to biting the hand that feeds.
I played bf1 from beta to release through every dlc to even on occasions after all these years. I played bf2042 on release and up until they mess up the ttk system after the pacific dlc. Personally i think bf1 atmosphere on each and every map made u actually feel like in you're in ww1. I only got that feeling in BFV in Iwo jima, tropical islands, jungle, wake island , aerodome and devastation .
I think that the biggest difference between the two games is the soldiers, in bf 1 they blend in way better, especially with the gray german uniforms and how well the soldier can get dirty, in bf 5 they stand out
I genuinely have no idea what it is about bf1, but it's just better It's not even the female voices sounding like dolphin.mp3 in bfV, i don't mind that, but it looks a lot more like... A game... As weird as it may sound.
BF1 sounded better. Honestly, that’s the main issue, BF1 knew exactly how it wanted you to feel and while graphics are one thing, sound design is often extremely underrated. The game feeling came due to this very feature, a lack of weight, of emotions and it wasn’t even that big of a deal in comparison to the overall shooter market but BF5 had to go up against BF1 and while it certainly looks very well, some maps in BF1 are better put together, and more importantly, why should you play a game that has some minor technical improvements when you could just switch to CoD for an entirely different beast or even just stick with the OG BF1.
Having played both of them, Battlefield 1 feels more immersive. It has the little details that 5 doesn't. Explosions were toned down by a lot so everything is less visceral. The sound is reduced, as well as the screen shake radius and damage. The danger is gone unless a direct hit. Also the communication by player characters are lacking. The commands, the cries and screams of pain. Plus the move speed
Both are really amazing, both have many different things that anyone doesn't has, currently I'm playing BTF V because it has a really good graphics and animation.
I've always known Battlefield 1 is better. This video just confirms it even more. Battlefield 1 makes you feel like you are actually charging and fighting. Battlefield 5 feels only sometimes like war. It's just sometimes because everyone wears whatever they want and hearing screams of women on the German side always makes me feel like this is not a real game about real WW2 but just some kind of universe of weird WW3 with old guns.
@@jehwhite1582 They're in a weird state but they're up on PS4. The map rotations are weird as fuck though. The list is a bit smaller on PC with less map diversity but they're still there. If you ever get on, I do recommend Operations. Especially on French maps. Breakthrough and Grand Ops are the more mediocre and dumbed down spin on it in 2042 and V. Nothing beats a close Operations game, though. Those clusterfucks at the end where everyone is dogpiling the final objective, everything is exploding, and the end-round music kicks in is 👌 especially on Verdun which has probably one of the best map atmospheres of the franchise.
BF1 all the way! BF1 looks, feels and sounds like an actual battlefield, the weapons are awesome (although not very historically acc) and packs some punch while BFV just looks like random people on a stage or a movie set shooting bb guns. I mean BFV is alright i guess but the immersion in no where near BF1 and when it happens, it's pretty rare.
@@OcEaNmAnTaKeMeByThEhAnd well I am only 16, no credit card and no way my mum will buy it for me. Also I live in Australia and from what I heard there are zero multiplayer servers in Australia
@@jasongongora9477 Which is homage to something that actually happened historically. BF5 they stuck women in everywhere just because 'muh equality'. If you're going to try and portray strong women, do so by focusing on actually strong women in history and their stories - not just shoehorning them into places where you think it'll make them look strong.
Melee not being 1 hit kill is immersion breaking though. Even if someone did not die to a knife, he would be so ducked up that he wouldn't be able to fight back.
@@javalicomesquizofrenia Allowing melee to be viable by making it 1hk would take the fun out of it? Why? Many games have 1hk melee, and nobady complains. R6s, Isonzo, Beyond the Wire, Foxhole, Battalion Legacy, the Screaming Steel mod for Day of Infamy, I could go on and on. Jumping right onto an enemy and dealing 55 damage with a hit, and then being smged to death is not balanced.
@@MonkePog. Yes. Attacking with melee is a high risk-high reward action. And the fact that it's not a 1hk makes it unbalanced, and makes melee almost useless.
Both good but when it comes to realism bf1 jus has a whole darker appearance to it that makes it more serious and scary to a point where u are constantly surrounded by bombs and gun shots and constant chaos that make the game fun to play
There is just something about Battlefield 1 that places it well above Battlefield V, maybe it was just the weirdness of the launch of BFV or the fact that the game never was truly finished that leaves a sour taste in my mouth about the game, but I still feel like almost every moment in Battlefield 1feels cinematic or awesome, while in Battlefield V, those moments feel like they are reserved for specific times in a round like towards the end of one where everyone uses their squad points to call in artillery and the V1 rocket. I still think Battlefield V is fun at times, but Battlefield 1 will never get old.
I dunno I just felt that in WW1 it made since for one side to rush the other, that was how they attacked but In WW2 where you have some guys rushing the front and others just minding their business, makes it feel like you’re in the wrong mindset
Does anyone know how to remove player names that appear with a white square and blue name below the screen when you spec them in the first person to a player?
BF1: Oh, clearly a German running over there on that hill! Thats an assaulter. BFV: Dafuq is this guy wearing?! Friend or Foe? And what class?? DAMN CUSTOMIZATIONS!
the screaming, the battlecries, echoes of guns, bullets blazing, the whistling artillery shells and explosions are everything on BF1 that makes my skin feels numb and make me cry..
@Kyaru Momochi There are no black soldiers on the German side in BFV. Who fucking cares anyway? It's a game. Battlefield has always been a fantastical shooter.
@Kyaru Momochi There were female soldiers, not to the extent that BFV portrayed but they did exist. Open a history book. And it died from mismanagement. It sold 7 million copies in the first few months meaning they made 420 million dollars and there are still tons of populated servers. None of this matters because Battlefield has always been a fantastical shooter that takes creative liberties. Stop being upset at women and minorities in video games by calling it a "minority scam", it's pathetic.
Everyone is talking about the immersion, but gawd damn, I fuckin love bf1/V map design. Even open plains feel so lively and filled with detail. Everything felt loved in and no where felt truly safe so you were always on high alert. 2042s map design just feels so empty and plain. Nothing felt right.
Man bf5s gameplay overall is pretty good in the end (yes I am aware of the ridiculous customization and over saturation) but bf1 just hits different it's got such an incredibly great atmosphere and the soundtrack is unforgettable. I was actually humming one of the oil of empires themes earlier today, and I haven't played in at least a year.
I played both games but i still returning to BF 1 till now This dark felling, the sense of urgency. This game even not accurate historically is just something more
