I remember memorizing enemy base locations; you'd get to the SCUD launcher fast and go to a certain area of your base, then you'd look at a certain area by the sun. It was so funny when you'd spam the enemy base early on and kill the base campers waiting for jets to spawn.

Hell yeah, I remember doing that on 73 Easting. I parked on the resupply pad and just kept launching the SCUD at Coalition spawn just racking up kills. Only thing that could stop me was a DPV. Good memories, even if game balance was broken.

Flying the helicopter is so damn too hard in this game, unlike in Battlefield Vietnam. It requires more skills to fly the helicopter.

I used to barrel roll the Hind all of the time and reverse out of that around buildings and you could literally shoot jet pilots out of their cockpits w/the LIttle Bird.

In 73 Easting we would spawn as Iraqi and used a protractor to calculate the correct launch angle to spawn kill the US camp. I also used to take the BRDM and shoot and scoot on the allied airfield. The open chat got spicy

I liked how you could get a scout to get coordinates for a second player in the scud missile launcher on the other side of the map. Totally rocked!

I miss those days! I have never really managed to learn to fly BF airplanes. Not 42 and not BF 2. But the helos in this plane I flew like crazy. The engine wasn't made for this. But once you get a hang of it you can do pretty crazy stuff. Mostly because the helo started dropping like crazy once you released the power key and you could really jump around in those helo's. I loved it!

omg i used to play this game for days and days they should remake this version at any cost, because this game it soo special and it was really another whole lvl of every new single battlefield game, mark my words if they remake this version only in the graphics, every single one will play it,, i hope one day they do it

I always wondered if the Arabic voices sounded like real Iraqi or not. Many times in-game Germans actually have Swiss German accent and so does French with Quebec French accent. If you're a homeland French or German speaker it often kills immersion.
